Abstract: In the disclosed moving picture camera with an adjustable rotary shutter, the shutter has a rotary shutter and an adjusting blade. The shutter adjusting blade is adjustable coaxially to the rotary shutter, which adjusts a shutter aperture angle. A transmission and a positioning motor adjust the adjusting blade relative to the rotary shutter. A potentiometer is connected to the shutter adjusting blade and to the rotary shutter, for measuring the position of the shutter adjustment blade in relation to the rotary shutter. The potentiometer generates a position signal indicating the actual position of the shutter adjustment blade in relation to the rotary shutter.

Abstract: A focal plane shutter for a video camera has a pair of disks rotated in the same direction about a common axis in synchronism with the raster scan blanking interval. The disks each have one or more openings which overlie one another to define a light admitting shutter aperture positioned to illuminate the video pickup device. An adjustment mechanism allows continuous adjustment of the shutter aperture while the disks are rotating. The adjustment mechanism has a slotted tube keyed to a pair of co-axial hub members which are adjustably rotated relative to one another when the slotted tube is moved axially.
Abstract: A motion picture camera is equipped with a shutter opening angle adjusting device capable of changing the opening angle of a shutter including a plurality of concentrically disposed shutter blades form 0.degree. to a predetermined opening angle by changing on relative position of the shutter blades. The opening angle adjusting device includes a mechanism for varying the relative position of the shutter blades, a cam mechanism for actuating said varying mechanism, and a motor for exclusively actuating the cam mechanism. The adjusting device is further provided with a control device for detecting the speed of the motor and controlling the rotational speed of the motor to a substantially constant speed, whereby the camera can perform fading photography which is assured of fading time and overlap photography having a fading effect.
Abstract: In the disclosed motion picture shutter angle control device, a motor serves exclusively for varying the shutter opening angle formed with a number of shutter blades. A detector detects when a predetermined shutter opening angle is obtained and delivers a signal which is used in a fade operation and the overlap operation to change the maximum opening angle.
Abstract: Motion picture camera, with an objective, in the light path of which, two exposure control devices, on the one hand a diaphragm and on the other hand a shutter, are adjustable by means of a common adjustment drive according to a predetermined program for changing of the light quantity which falls on a film per picture. An additional override, adjustment device is provided for at least one of said two exposure control devices for adjustment thereof independent of the predetermined program.

Abstract: A fading device for a motion picture camera includes a pair of sectors rotated with respect to each other to vary the angle of a light passing section formed thereby to obtain a fade-in or fade-out effect. The sectors are rotated relatively to each other by means of a drive mechanism operated by a motor by way of a change-over mechanism which is operable to change the direction of the relative rotation of the sectors. An indicator is connected with the change-over mechanism to indicate whether the fade-in or fade-out is possible in accordance with the situation of the sectors.
