Abstract: One embodiment of the invention discloses projector circuit boards comprising an image receiving terminal, a central processing unit, a motor driving module, a DMD and a DMD control module. The image receiving terminal receives an image signal and transmits the received image signal to the central processing unit. The central processing unit processes the received image signal. The motor driving module drives a motor on the basis of the processed image signal to rotate a color wheel to generate a colored beam. The DMD, comprising a plurality of micro-mirrors, is used in reflecting the colored beam, transforming the colored beam into an image beam, and transmitting the image beam to a projection lens to project an image. The rotation angles of the micro-mirrors are controlled by the DMD control module coupled between the central processing unit and the DMD. The projector circuit board is perpendicular to a light path of the projection lens.

Abstract: A one-way display system includes a transparent screen and a transparent color filter. An image is emitted by the screen or projected onto the screen. The image is formed from a combination of colored lights. Instead of spanning all the wavelengths of each color, each light only spans a narrow band of the color. The color filter removes the narrow band so the image is only visible from one side of the screen. As the color filter removes only the narrow band, one can still look out and see objects on the other side of the screen minus the colors of the narrow band.

Abstract: A digital micromirror projection display system is disclosed in which “off” pixel light is recaptured and recycled. In the disclosed system, a digital micromirror device directs incident light for “on” pixels in the image to be displayed through projection lenses to a projection screen. The digital micromirror device directs incident light for “off” pixels back toward the light source for recapture by a light integrator. Both the incident and projected light can pass through a rear group of projection lenses, with the first projection lens being disposed near the digital micromirror device. A mirror directs the incident light toward the digital micromirror device, and the “off” pixel light from the digital micromirror device toward the light integrator. As a result, “off” pixel light can be recycled without degrading image contrast, in a manner that can place fast projection lenses close to the digital micromirror device to save cost.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, viewable images can be created in glass. Viewable images may be created in glass by using a projector which projects ultraviolet light to excite light emitting material. Clear images may be created in glass because the size the light emitting particles in the glass is less than 400 nanometers. In embodiments, the visible illumination of a transparent substrate to display an image is possible, while the transparent substrate remains transparent. Accordingly, for example, drivers of automobiles may view images (e.g. map images) on their windshield while they are driving. As another example, window shoppers may view enhanced advertisements in the windows of stores that they are approaching.
