With Intermediate Printing Material Patents (Class 355/107)
  • Patent number: 5283611
Abstract: An image formation device photocopying system that transports a film type medium (100) along a passageway (6) such that it encounters the image exposure assembly (4), developer assembly (7), and transfer pressure assembly (8) sequentially from supply cartridge (5), and forms a latent image on medium (100) by exposing an image on it in the image exposure assembly (4), after which it heat develops the latent image in developer assembly (7) and transfers the developed image (100) to the transfer medium (102) in the transfer pressure assembly (8). A tensioning means (26) that applies tension to medium (100) being transported in passageway (6) on the upstream end or in supply cartridge (5).

  • Patent number: 5068689
Abstract: The invention provides a method of transferring an image from a transferring medium onto a record sheet. The method includes steps of setting a record sheet on a rotatable drum; superposing a transferring medium, in which only an image to be transferred is formed on a support material of the transferring medium, on the record sheet; and pressing the transferring medium and the record sheet onto the drum by a pressing roller while rotating the drum so that only the image is transferred to the record sheet.

  • Patent number: 4885608
Abstract: A picture recording apparatus in which two kinds of picture forming materials are accurately superimposed on one another, such as with a predetermined displacement therebetween. The apparatus includes a pair of forward end detector switches disposed along the conveying paths or the respective picture forming materials immediately before a position where the picture forming materials are to be superimposed on one another for detecting respective forward ends of the picture forming materials. A superimposition control device is responsive to a detection signal from one of the pair of forward end detector switches for one of the picture forming materials to stop conveyance of the one picture forming material and which is responsive to a detection signal from the other of the pair of forward end detector switches for the other picture forming material to control re-conveyance of the one picture forming material at a desired timing to effect correct superposition between the two picture forming materials.

  • Patent number: 4745442
Abstract: An instant photographic apparatus uses a photosensitive member in the form of a roll, of a length to receive a plurality of exposures, and an image-receiving member in the form of either a roll or a sheet. The photosensitive member is cut off to the length of a single frame of film after the exposure of its leading end. Before or after cutting off the member or members, the exposed leading end of the photosensitive member and the image-receiving member are superposed. Between the superposed members a processing liquid is distributed and spread in a uniform layer for diffusion transfer processing. During the processing, negative and positive images are produced simultaneously on the photosensitive and image-receiving members, respectively, according to the latent image previously created on the photosensitive member by exposure.

  • Patent number: 4724469
Abstract: Disclosed is an image recording apparatus for allowing an image to be formed on an image receiving material by heat-developing and transferring an image recorded on a heat-developable light-sensitive photographic material onto an image receiving material in the presence of an image forming solvent. The heat-developable light-sensitive material is exposed while it is being wound around a rotating exposure drum, the exposed heat-developable light-sensitive material is applied with an image forming solvent while it is still wound on the drum. In consequence, the amount of space required for solvent application can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4279491
Abstract: An apparatus for exposing and developing film units which have pairs of overlapping positive and negative sheets and must be subjected to a diffusion treatment subsequent to treatment with a liquid developing agent has an exposing unit above a light duct which is disposed above a compartment for cassettes containing stacks of superimposed film units. The compartment is located above a diffusion chamber and is adjacent to a relatively small casing for a developing unit containing a liquid developing agent and provided with pairs of advancing rolls for the transport of freshly exposed film units from the cassette in the compartment, through the casing and the developing agent therein, and thereupon into the diffusion chamber. The developing unit has a device which temporarily separates the sheets of a film unit during transport through the developing agent.
