A respective one of the segmentation points is positioned at each identified point of shape angle. The electronic device approximates a piecewise smooth fitting curve (e.g., a piecewise Bezier curve) having two or more fitting segments to connect the plurality of segmentation points on the contour. The piecewise smooth fitting curve is thereby provided to vectorize the raster image.

    Abstract: The automated treatment of agricultural fields allows precise application of treatment to only areas of the field requiring treatment, allowing reduced use of agricultural products such as pesticides and the related reduction in environmental stress. Such automated treatment requires the monitoring of image information of the field to detect objects of interest such as weeds. Such monitoring of image information of the field suffers from the real world problem of shadows cast from the agricultural equipment and/or adjacent trees or structures that cast shadows across the field. Shadows are extracted from the image data by smoothing the data, and developing a shadow mask by employing an intensity histogram and identifying a local minima in the darker intensities of the histogram to identify a shadow threshold. The image areas within the shadow area detected by said mask are then corrected by multiplication with correction coefficients to extract the shadow.

An estimate of depth of the patch is determined based on a disparity between the patch and the sub-pattern.

    Abstract: In some examples, a print cartridge includes a memory device comprising quantized coefficients derived from a lossy compression, at a selected step size, of a difference color table including a plurality of difference nodes in which each difference node represents a difference value that is a difference of a value of a node of a color table and a value of a corresponding node of a reference table, the quantized coefficients useable to produce a reconstructed difference color table including a first set of difference nodes each representing a difference value that is within an error threshold at the selected step size, and a second set of difference nodes each representing a difference value that is outside an error threshold at the selected step size. The memory device further comprises corrective information to correct the second set of difference nodes of the reconstructed difference color table.
