Abstract: A network device and a peripheral device for attachment with a medical imaging device provides for the encryption and conversion of a medical image into a secure and standardized image file format as well as the communication of the encrypted and/or converted image to a secure server on a remote network. The devices may detect an unencrypted medical image file transmitted and encrypt and convert selected medical image files associated with the medical data based on standardized medical data format specifications that correlate with an output destination type. An encryption and conversion unit may be incorporated within the hardware and software of a medical imaging device or another network device in order to provide the capability for encrypting a medical image for transmission that is compatible with a destination device or network.

According to one of the techniques, identifying a person in a target image involves displaying, within a graphical user interface, an image that depicts one or more faces. One or more faces are automatically detected within the image. A user provides input that selects a face of the one or more faces to be a currently-selected face. A set of images are selected from a collection of images, where the set of images includes images that closely match the currently-selected face. Concurrently with display of the currently-selected face, each image in the set of images is displayed. Within the graphical user interface, a control is provided. The control enables a user to select a target image from the set of images. In response to detecting that the user has selected a target image using the control, the currently-selected face is associated with a person to which the target image corresponds.

Abstract: A document storage and retrieval system for securely storing documents. A mass storage device contains document identification data and document location information but not the document data. A host computer extracts the document identification data and document location information from the mass storage device and sends this information to a storage cabinet containing the document. Each document is removably stored in a file folder contained in a cabinet drawer. Each file folder has a memory unit which stores an electronic version of each physical document contained in the file folder. The host computer directs the initial storage of a document in folder memory. Thereafter, the host computer is denied access to the electronic versions stored in file folder memory. Access to the electronic versions is only possible using a special reader device.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a reading configured to read a shape of a sheet to be used for image formation, and an original sheet carrying an original image, and an image forming portion configured to form a toner image, corresponding to the original image read by the reading portion, on the sheet to be used for image formation. After displaying the first portion, the device detects a second input gesture. The second input gesture is within the predetermined distance of the same object. The second input gesture includes a different motion than the first input gesture. The device determines that the second portion correlates with both the object and the second gesture. In an example, the system includes a server coupled with a data storage system and a communication interface. The server can receive a conversion request to convert a medical image into a destination format associated with a destination device. The conversion request can include metadata associated with the requested medical image and the destination format. The system can determine whether the requested medical image can be located based at least on the metadata in the conversion request and if the requested medical image is located, load image data associated with the requested medical image from the data storage system in a binary format, convert the binary image data into the destination format, and return the converted medical image as a response to the conversion request via the communication interface.

Abstract: A method and system for analyzing user behavior as users search for items within an electronic marketplace is provided. A query is submitted by a user of the electronic marketplace, the query is processed to identify a series of actions or behaviors performed by the user in relation to the query and fingerprint information for the query is determined based at least in part on analyzing the actions. A classification for a query is determined based on the fingerprint information. In one embodiment, an electronic marketplace receives a query from a user, accesses a query classification database having fingerprint information, determines a fingerprint for the query based on the fingerprint information and dynamically modifies a user experience for the user based at least in part on the fingerprint information.

Control management may be effectively realized throughout the printing process of the secret file, and the source file and the standard file cannot be copied without some professional skills in the printing process.

A subset of fragments from the plurality of fragments having the highest probability ratings is selected. The language hypothesis of each fragment in the subset of fragments is verified.
