Abstract: The main part of the melt produced during laser welding of two housing parts along a circumferential edge is made to flow towards the printed circuit board by a predefined geometry, thus fixing the board in a form-fitting manner. The basic geometry is modified to prevent the melt from distributing in both directions in an uncontrolled manner and make it flow towards the inside of the housing in a targeted manner. The printed circuit board can thus be fixed and the housing sealed in a single operation. Less space is required on the printed circuit board since the support surfaces only affect the peripheral zone of the printed circuit board. The peripheral zone is a barrier zone since the individual printed circuit board is cut out of a panel. Due to the larger contact surface, prestress losses caused by creep of the plastic have no adverse effect.

The apparatus further comprises a bulkhead secured to a second end of the second housing portion, and a handle pivotally secured to a second end of the first housing portion. The bulkhead includes a distally extending pin and a spring latch. The handle has a hole that is sized and positioned to selectively receive the distally extending pin and allow the handle to close only with the first and second housing portions in a closed position. The handle also has a hook that is captured by the spring latch in response to the handle being closed. A torsion spring may be used to bias the handle to an open position where the handle can be easily grabbed when the handle has not been latched.

Abstract: A chip card ejecting mechanism includes a base body, a push member, a rotating member and an elastic member resisting between the base body and the rotating member. The base body includes a guiding member defining a hole and having a number of guiding rails. Each guiding rail includes a resisting surface and a guiding surface. The push member includes a push rod extending through the hole and a number of active gears. Each active gear defines an active cooperative surface. The rotating member includes a number of the passive gears. Each passive gear includes a passive cooperative surface. When the push member is pressed toward the rotating member by a transient external force, the rotating member compresses the elastic member until the active cooperative surface arrives at the guiding surface, the elastic member releases and drives the passive cooperative gears to slide along the first sliding slot.

Abstract: A fastening mechanism for fastening a first object to a second object, the fastening mechanism includes a first fastening member, a driven member, a linkage member, and a first supporting member. The first fastening member is rotatably secured to the second object. The driven member is rotatably secured to the second object. The linkage member is connected between the fastening member and the driven member. The first supporting member protrudes from the second object to support the first object. When an external force is exerted on the driven member, the driven member is capable of rotating to pull the linkage member, thus the linkage member pulls the first fastening member to rotate toward the first supporting member and sandwiches the first object between the first fastening member and the first supporting member so that the first object is fastened to the second object.

  • Patent number: 8953332
Abstract: A latch mechanism is provided for latching a field-replaceable unit within an enclosure. The latch mechanism includes a rotatable latch coupled to the field-replaceable unit, via a pivot, at a first side of the field-replaceable unit, and a compliant spring member disposed to act on the pivot. The compliant spring member acts on the pivot and compresses with rotating of the latch from an open position to a latched position during latching of the field-replaceable unit within the enclosure. The compressing facilitates provision of a positive pressure on or across the field-replaceable unit directed towards a second side of the field-replaceable unit opposite to the first side. This positive pressure facilitates, for example, fixed coupling of a first connector at the second side of the field-replaceable unit to a second connector associated with the enclosure when the field-replaceable unit is latched within the enclosure.
