Abstract: A luminous flux control member can stabilize an optical performance, make manufacturing easy and improve efficiency of use of light at the same time. A reflection surface (15) is formed in a surface shape, so that an extreme end section of the reflection surface (15) that is the most distant from an emission area (5) is positioned further inward in the radial direction than a base end section that is the closest to the emission area (5), and the reflection surface (15) intersects once a virtual surface that is inclined with respect to an optical axis connecting between the extreme end section and the base end section. The surface shape suppresses an offset of a light distribution of light emitted from the emission area (5) from a designed light distribution due to an offset between an optical axis and the center axis of light emitted from a light source.

Abstract: A light source apparatus includes a short-arc-type mercury lamp, a main reflection mirror, a sub-reflection mirror, and an optical element. The sub-reflection mirror surrounds an opening of the ellipsoid main reflection mirror. The sub-reflection mirror reflects a portion of the light emitted from the lamp toward the main reflection mirror. The light reflected by the sub-reflection mirror is reflected toward the main reflection mirror. The optical element is arranged between a second focal point of the main reflection mirror and the sub-reflection mirror. The light reflected by the main reflection mirror and passes through an opening of the sub-reflection mirror is incident upon an incidence-side face of the optical element. The optical element transmits visible light and to reflect ultraviolet light, while the main reflection mirror transmits infrared light and reflects ultraviolet light and visible light and the sub-reflection mirror reflects ultraviolet light and visible light.

Abstract: A lamp assembly includes a shell wall defining a receiving space that retains a light source therein, and a reflecting unit. The shell wall has a central wall unit and a pair of connecting wall segments. The central wall unit has a base wall segment and a pair of connecting wall segments extending respectively from longitudinal ends of the base wall segment. The extending wall segments extend respectively from side ends of the base wall segment, interconnect the connecting wall segments and cooperate with the connecting wall segments to define an opening in spatial communication with the receiving space. A distance between the distal ends of the connecting wall segments is larger than that between the distal ends of the extending wall segments. The reflecting unit includes convex first reflecting members protruding inwardly from the extending wall segments, and prismatic second reflecting members protruding inwardly from the central wall unit.

Abstract: The invention provides a mounting bracket for attachment of various auxiliary optical devices such as daylight-vision optical scopes, night-vision monoculars, etc., to a weapon. A distinctive feature of the mounting bracket is that the bracket, itself, incorporates an optical system for projection of an image of the reticle (or other patterns) without use of additional mounts or external reticle or red-dot devices. Most importantly, the bracket allows use of inexpensive optical devices, e.g., a standard monocular, which can be used as a universal optical device, such as an optical sight, a spotting scope, a goggle, a part of a red-dot aiming system, or the like.

Abstract: An optic includes an LED light source inside a primary reflector, where the primary reflector includes a parabolic trough whose interior surface has a longitudinally extending parabolic first reflective surface that receives light from the light source and emits a fan-shaped beam of light. The LED light source includes an LED die mounted so as to be at or near a focus of the parabolic trough. A selectively shaped secondary reflector is spaced from the primary reflector and has a second reflective surface that is arranged to intersect and reflect the fan of light. The size and shape of the second reflective surface corresponds to the fan of light where the second reflective surface intersects the fan of light. The second reflective surface displays a band of light that appears disassociated from a particular physical surface so as to float in space.
