Abstract: A reflector spotlight luminaire includes a housing defining an optical axis. The light source is provided that includes one or more white light emitting LEDs, the lights being arranged to direct a beam of white light along the axis of the housing, such as being reflected from an ellipsoidal reflector. An image engine in the form of an LCD panel intercepts the beam of white light traveling along the axis to modify and enhance the beam of white light with image data, such as color, shape, animation, etc. Conventional projection optics accumulates the image emitted by the image engine, projects the optically enhanced light beam through the housing onto a projection surface.

Abstract: A light guide member includes a main body part, and an entrance surface, a strip-shaped exit surface and a strip-shaped reflecting surface that are formed on the main body part. The illumination light is output from the exit surface. The reflecting surface extends in the first direction on a face placed opposite to the exit surface of the main body part and reflects the illumination light. The reflecting surface includes, on a flat face, a reflection pattern surface provided with a plurality of minute reflective concave parts having a function of reflecting the illumination light toward the exit surface. The reflective concave parts each include a deflection surface which deflects the illumination light in a direction in which a reflection angle widens in a cross sectional view in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction in a horizontal direction, and then reflects the illumination light.

Abstract: A lens to redirect light, having an angular distribution centered around a left-right symmetry plane (LRSP), from a light source. The lens includes an incident face, facing the light source, which includes an incident corner, which divides the incident face into incident inner and outer zones and is concave, forming an obtuse angle in air. The lens also includes an opposite exiting face, which similarly includes an exiting corner, which similarly divides the exiting face. Each ray striking the incident inner zone transmits through the lens, striking the exiting inner zone. Each ray striking the incident outer zone transmits through the lens, striking the exiting outer zone. Each ray striking the incident face, transmits through the lens, strikes the exiting face, and refracts out of the lens, has initial and final propagation angles with respect to the LRSP. The final propagation angle is greater than the initial propagation angle.

  • Patent number: 8398273
Abstract: The invention relates to an elongate light fixture having a substantially triangular cross-section. The light fixture is screwed to a supply duct with the rear wall thereof. A front rail runs parallel to the rear wall. Transparent panels and are inserted detachably between the rear wall and rail. In the interior of the light fixture, a fluorescent lamp is provided as the luminous element. The light emitted by said fluorescent lamp is reflected upward by way of reflector surfaces that open in the shape of a funnel and is scattered diffusely in the direction A by means of the frosted panel. The panel surfaces, which likewise open in the shape of a funnel, reflect the light exiting downward from the lamp in the direction toward the panel, the grooved structure of which ensures that the light is deflected substantially in the direction B, while the portion of the side light exiting in the direction C is reduced.
