The floating candle-like device comprises an incandescent lamp, a lamp housing socket, a candle, a candle base, grommets or O-rings, at least two conductor insulated wires, a multi conductor, a trunk line, a water tight splice, and a candle enclosure. There are three sections that comprise the electrical circuitry of the floating candles: a low voltage supply (AC to DC, high to low voltage conversion), a pulse width modulation programmed micro-controller and a power output section (to control the incandescent lamp voltage to produce flickering flames), and trunk and feeder lines. The floating candles may be used as Christmas lights, at wedding reception halls, amusements parks, or in pools or ponds at evening parties as decoration.

Abstract: A spherical form twist lock globe holder which is mountable to a lamp post and necked globe which is mountable to the globe holder are provided. The globe holder and globe are twist locked together. When the globe is mounted to the globe holder, the globe and globe holder define a substantially complete sphere. The globe is generally in the shape of a truncated sphere and has a generally flat bottom surface. A neck extends from the bottom surface, and a flange with gaps extends radially from the end of the neck. The globe has a center, a globe radius, and a distance from the globe center to a bottom of the globe neck. The distance from the globe center to the bottom of the neck is smaller than the radius of the globe. The globe holder has an arcuate base, preferably defining a segment of a sphere. A collar extends upwardly from the globe holder base and receives the globe neck. At least one arm extends up from the globe holder base and a finger extends from the arm.

A glass plate is cut into glass pieces of a certain shape including a pentagon member and a hexagon member. The hexagon member consists of one six-sided irregular member and three four-sided irregular members. The glass pieces of the certain shape are united together via a bonding agent to obtain the three dimensional stained glass imitating the shape of a soccer ball. The glass piece has a curved surface whose radius of curvature is set substantially equal to the radius of the soccer ball.
