The inner element is formed with a first mechanical coupling to mate with the reflector, a second mechanical coupling to mate with a circuit board, and an electrical coupling to at least electrically couple one of the leads to the circuit board. A circuit board has an edge mechanically coupled to the inner element and electrically connected to the leads by an electrical coupling on the inner element. A heat sink spans at least one side of the circuit board and forming an EMI shielding. An outer cover encloses the heat sink, circuit board, and inner element and coupled to the assembly of the reflector, HID lamp, inner element, and heat sink with each elements of the assembly clipped together.

Abstract: A surface-mountable light fixture (100) can comprise a base (101) that is configured and arranged to be mounted in an installed position juxtaposed against a mounting surface (102). At least one light source interface (109, 110) that requires mains electricity is contained within this base. This base further comprises an access port (111) formed therein which, when opened while the base is mounted in an installed position on the mounting surface, provides end user access to electrical conductors for the light source interface(s) as well as the mains electricity (104, 105). This base then also further comprises a lockable cover (112) that is configured and arranged to selectively and reversibly seal the access port to deny end user access to the electrical conductors.

Abstract: An improved LED assembly comprises a frame and a circuit substrate. The frame has a slot, which has an opening on the upper surface of the frame. An elongated inverted L-shaped structure is formed on either side of the opening, and one or more conductive strips are formed on the inner side of the elongated inverted L-shaped structure. Therefore, electricity may be supplied to the conductive strips of the frame. In assembly, the circuit substrate is slid into the slot of the frame so that each of the conductive strips of the circuit substrate is engaged with the corresponding conductive strip of the frame. Therefore, electricity from the electric source may be fed from the source through the conductive strip of the frame and the conductive strip of the circuit substrate and then to the light-emitting units so that each of the light-emitting units may be powered up.
