Abstract: A light-emitting decorating device includes a framework, a light-transmitting cover and at least one light source. The framework is a hollow construction and comprises a plurality of supporting brackets and a plurality of decorating brackets provided between the supporting brackets. The light-transmitting cover is provided inside the framework, thereby the framework and the light-transmitting cover together constituting the profile of the light-emitting decorating device. The light source is provided in the interior of the light-transmitting cover. Via the above arrangement, a light-emitting decorating device can be achieved, thereby generating a better visual effect and adding a novel and shining effect to the whole profile.

Abstract: A lamp having a body which defines a hollow chamber and is constructed at least in part from translucent material has one or more night lights directed upwardly and supported therein. The body includes a top crown which is held in place by a lock ring secured upon threads of a coupling device. Access to the upwardly directed night lights is obtained by removing the lock ring and moving the top crown upwardly to provide access to the hollow chamber so that one may insert his or her hand into the hollow chamber to remove and replace the lamp. The top crown is then replaced and the lock ring again secured.

Abstract: An assembly for use with a lamp including the lights, structures for dissipating heat, and controls for controlling the intensity and light temperature emitted by the assembly. Included are structures which allow the lamp to adjust the assembly to a desired position and a small compact configuration. The assembly can be used in a variety of lighting configurations including a desk lamp, floor lamp, wall lamp, ceiling or suspended lamp. A printed circuit board carries the lights and is sandwiched between two heat sinks for dissipating heat from the lights. Passages and openings are provided in the assembly for dissipating heat. An end of the holder is connected to the base, and the light emitting device includes a lampshade pivotally connected to another end of the holder, a reflecting thin film and an LED light module. The lampshade has at least a side-wall and a top-wall connected the side-wall. The reflecting thin film is disposed on the top-wall and the LED light module is disposed in the side-wall. The light emitted from the LED light module is reflected several times by the reflecting thin film to render the brightness of the light emitted out of the lampshade substantially uniform.

Abstract: The invention is a fluorescent lamp with integrated night light, removable power cord, and battery backup that provides emergency lighting during A/C power failure. The battery backup consists of a removable tray that stores a plurality of batteries. The fluorescent lamp is designed to appear like a traditional table lamp. A plurality of switches adorns the lower base of the lamp and provides flexibility to the various functions.

Abstract: A light fixture for use in low voltage outdoor lighting systems includes a lens assembly with a diffuser lens disposed on top of a lens support, a reflector hood and a mushroom-shaped reflector retaining cap removably mounted on top of the lens assembly. A socket and lamp extend through an opening in the lens support. The radial center of the hood has a flattened area that sits level on top of the cylindrical lens and has an opening through which a base portion of the retaining cap is inserted. A recess in the top of the lens has an opening at its bottom for receiving the base of the retainer cap which is attached with a fastener inserted through the top of the lens. An O-ring seals the lens to the lower surface of the hood and the lens and lens support are sealed to provide a water-resistant seal around the lamp. The lens support is attached to the top of a mounting post.

Many worklights have one or more worklight heads supported on a base, which includes one or more generally hollow elongate cross bar structural support members. The spare bulb holder is integrated into the one or more of the cross bar structural support members and includes one or more spare-bulb retainers and a retainer support piece. The retainer itself has an elongate extent with an end cap at one end and is formed to hold an individual elongate double-ended halogen bulb. The retainer support piece is retained in an end of a cross bar structural support member and has at least one opening sized so that the retainer can be inserted through it into the cross bar structural support member. The end cap on the retainer is formed to close the opening through the retainer support piece and to be held securely within the opening when the retainer is inserted into the cross bar structural support member.

Abstract: An improved startup device for controlling energization of a lamp has a base, stand coupled with the base and an illuminator connected to an electric power source. The base has a sound-collecting element mated with a housing unit so that the sound-collecting element has direct contact with the surface it is placed on. A control unit is situated within the housing unit and includes a connected startup circuit built on a circuit board, a reception element and a power-supply component. Thus, the reception element cooperates with said sound-collecting element to switch the power-supply component allowing the illuminator to make or break connection with the power source upon receiving tapping sound at the stand or through the surface. In practice, the startup device of the present invention employed in lamps affects to extend the conventional switch size to the entire floor or table area, which advantageously acts as a medium of transmitting tapping sounds to ease the task of lighting up.

The stand includes a post having a lower end with a plurality of support legs for supporting the post freely on an underlying surface and an upper end having a bushing. The articulated arm can be mounted on the upper end of the stand by inserting a lug of the articulated arm into the bushing. The stand also includes means on an upper end of the post for ensuring that the articulated arm is positioned in vertical alignment over one of the support legs of the post. Thus, as the articulated arm is fully extended in a lateral direction from the post, the center of gravity of the articulated arm remains over the support leg thereby permitting the stand to remain stable.

The bulb mounting seat assembly includes a bulb mounting seat covering the top opening, a sleeve mounted and held in the aligned through holes, an elongated connection tube and a tightening fastener. The elongated connection tube is attached to the bulb mounting seat and has a bottom threaded end extending out of the sleeve onto which the tightening fastener is screwed. The light bulbs are mounted on the bulb mounting seat inside the shade casing. Consequently, loosening the tightening fastener allows removal of the bulb mounting seat from the top opening to replace conveniently the failed light bulbs.

The harp has locking means to releasably lock the relative positions of the top and bottom portions.

Abstract: An installation system for mounting outdoor lighting wherein there is provided a foundation member in the form of a mildly compressible pipe member which is mounted in the ground, and an adapter which may form an electrical connection box. A light standard can be mounted on the adapter which has a lower portion, at least a portion of the outer surface of the lower section being in the form of a section of a sphere for close reception in an open upper end of the pipe member. The adapter within the pipe member provides adjustment movement in a ball and socket fashion so that regardless of whether the pipe member is not accurately installed in the ground, the adapter can be moved to achieve vertical orientation of the light standard prior to clamping of the pipe member to prevent further relative movement between the standard and its foundation member.

A post or other structure attached at its lower end to the base supports a luminaire at its furthest end. The base, post or support structure and luminaire are either symmetric with respect to a vertical plane that bisects the ninety-degree angle of the base, or exhibit balanced asymmetry with respect to the said bisecting plane, as understood by persons skilled in the art. Rectangular lamp bases are excluded by failure either to economize floor space or to meet the above symmetry requirements.

The present invention is characterized in that: the lampshade and the lamp arm are jointed with screws in place of traditional rivets, allowing for detachment; the one-piece long lamp arm are replaced with several short shafts assembled together to reduce its volume. In this way, the lamp can be detached and assembled, making warehousing and transportation more easily as well as reducing cost of transportation and saving space.

The lamp assembly is assembled and disassembled, namely the lamp head, post, base, ballast, and electrical cord, without use of a tool.

Using a base layer of translucent material preferably circumscribed by a transparent material, an image may be slipped between the two layers and illuminated by a light source. The sheets are used to form a lampshade and are held in place about a light source, such as a light bulb, by supports threadably engaging a mounting base. The mounting base attaches to the lamp generally below the light bulb to provide stable support for the lampshade. The image display device of the present invention provides attractive and selectable means by which images may be illuminated by a light source and articles, such as lamp shades, may be decorated on a personalized basis.

Abstract: An electric lighting device which simulates the look of a wax candle. The device includes a body formed of relatively high melting temperature candle wax. A longitudinal channel runs between a top portion and a bottom portion of the body. In the bottom portion radial channels provided between the longitudinal channel and the circumferentional surface of the body. These channels provide ventilation to the candle body when the lighting device is in operation. A fix unit is also provided which has openings adapted to a line with the channels in the body so that air circulation is maintained when the candle body is placed in the base unit.

Since the positioning ring is not directly locked to the upper lamp rod; when the positioning ring is locked by hand tool, the insertion of the receptacle and plug will not be affected.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a do-it-yourself (DIY) lamp structure, mainly comprising of a base, a lamp rod on the base, a coupling hole on the base, and an embedded groove protruded from the lateral side of the opening, so that the lamp rod is inserted into the opening and the embedded groove for the assembly; a bracket is extended outward from the rim in corresponsive to the position of the embedded groove of the base such that when the lamp rod is inserted, the bracket will be pressed in advance, and after the lamp rod passes through the embedded groove, the bracket can be flipped out appropriately and latched into the embedded hole of the base to fix the lamp rod and base in a secured position. Therefore, regardless of the package, transportation, or storage, the lamp rod and base can be detached in order to reduce the volume for the transportation and storage.
