    Abstract: This invention is a low pressure, steady volume supply static mixer manifold for a high pressure pump. The design comprises an internal diffuser cylindrical tube inside an external rectangular tube in which static mixing occurs. Capped at one end, the internal diffuser pipe, with flow coming from the opposite side, allows for one flow direction diffused into the outer rectangular tube that then allows for constant bidirectional flow at a constant pressure throughout. The flow of slurry components between the cylindrical tube and the rectangular tube supports static mixing in part by creating alternating flow pressures between mixing ports (allowing flow of slurry components from the cylindrical tube) and the exit ports based on the different geometries of the cylindrical tube and rectangular tube. The combination of flow and pressure exiting the cylindrical tube through the mixing ports, at an angle to the bottom corners of the outer rectangular tube, creates a natural agitation of the slurry components.

    Abstract: A cooling stick for a blender includes a cylindrical member designed to fit tightly through a circular aperture extending through the blender lid. The member has a lower portion and an upper portion with a surrounding rim of a diameter larger than the circular aperture. The lower portion has a lower end sized and shaped to avoid contact with the blender blade assembly. The cylindrical member has an interior chamber, an opening extending from an exterior of the member to the chamber and means for sealing the opening. A cooling fluid is located within the interior chamber. The fluid is cooled or frozen when the cooling stick is located in a cooling environment. When the chilled cooling stick is mounted to the lid of the blender, the cooling stick will cool contents of the blender when the blender is operated. The cooling stick also cools the blender contents after operation.

    Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus and method for improved mixing of yeast-raised and yeast-raised type dough. The device and method keep the dough cool by an improved structure and method for circulating coolant around a jacketed bowl, and by circulating cooled air through the spinning agitator roller bars. Better aeration of the dough and faster mixing time are achieved along with full water and flour absorption, and reduced operating temperatures by controlling placing of the agitator driveshaft in a carefully defined region. Finally, the invention provides a wiper for wiping the lip of the bowl to keep it clean of dough and to insure a proper seal along the bowl lip when a resilient, expandable bowl seal is used, and it provides a pneumatic seal for securely sealing the mix ingredients in the bowl during mixing.

Hot gas heats a first part of the oven, coil and drum. A rotating hollow auger is heated with hot fluid from the coils. Oven exhaust sweeps evaporated and volatized components of the treated materials to separators and a thermal oxidizer. Cleaned gas from the thermal oxidizer heats a second part of the oven coil and drum and exits a stack. The rotating drum and auger lifts and turns the treated material as it is advanced by the auger.

Moisture is forced outward from within the particles and is flashed away by the hot exhaust gas. A similar secondary heater heats the RAP to just below asphalt coking temperature before the hot dry RAP is added as an aggregate to the hot mix asphalt plant.
