The watch device may generally comprise a housing, a location determining component disposed within the housing and operable to receive one or more satellite signals to determine a current geographic location of the housing, and a processing system. The processing system may synchronize the location determining component with the swimmer's arm movement so that the location determining component can determine the current geographic location of the housing.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method of setting an alarm therein are provided. The mobile terminal includes a controller, a display unit, and a memory unit. The controller controls the display unit to display an alarm setting screen on which alarm dates are arranged in a first direction and alarm time points are arranged in a second direction, the alarm screen being displayed in an alarm setting mode and sets an alarm at a selected time point of each alarm date in response to selection of the alarm time point. The controller also controls the memory unit to store a set alarm on an alarm date and alarm time point. The display unit displays an alarm image at an intersection of an alarm date and an alarm time point of each set alarm.

  • Patent number: 8620344
Abstract: Methods, program products, and systems for location-based application program management are described. A mobile device can receive a first application program to be executed in an application subsystem. The first application program can be configured to be invoked or notified when the mobile device is located at a defined location. The mobile device can register the first application program to a second application program that executes in a baseband subsystem. The mobile device can set the application subsystem to a power-saving operating mode. The second application program can monitor a current location of the mobile device. When the mobile device is currently located at the defined location, the second application program can set the application subsystem to an active operating mode, and invoke the first application program.

Abstract: Location aware reminder techniques are described. In one or more implementations, an amount of time is determined by a computing device that is likely to be involved for a user to access a scheduled event. A point in time at which to output a reminder by the computing device before the scheduled event is computed based at least in part on the determined amount of time that is likely to be involved for the user to access the scheduled event.

Abstract: The radio wave receiver includes the antenna. The device body and the closing member are coupled to each other by making the screw portion of the fixation screw being inserted through the through-hole of the metallic closing member engage with the screw portion of the device body. The coupling resin member having electrically insulating property is coupled to the irregularities of a nanometer size formed on a metal surface of the closing member, a through-hole is formed in the coupling resin member, and thereby electrical insulation between the metallic device body and the metallic closing member which are screwed together with the fixation screw is ensured so as to improve receiving sensitivity of the antenna.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure set forth a method for forecasting data usage in a region covered by a cellular network. The method includes defining a first subregion surrounding a first point of interest in the region; and calculating a forecasted usage amount of the cellular network in the first subregion in a second time slot based on a first usage amount of the first subregion in a first time slot, a second usage amount of a second subregion geographically adjacent to the first subregion in the first time slot, a first probability associated with mobile devices in the first subregion migrating to the second subregion, and a second probability associated with mobile devices in the second subregion migrating to the first subregion.

Abstract: Calendar items may be analyzed to determine the physical location of an event defined in a calendar item. When a resolvable location is not included in the calendar item, other information may be used to increase the probability and accuracy of the location. For example, meeting attendees, adjacent meetings, meeting metadata, or similar meetings may be used to augment or verify a location for a calendar item. In some cases, external data from social networks, Global Positioning System input, or other data may also be used. Some embodiments may operate in a two-step analysis, where the first step may identify a boundary, and a second step may search within that boundary for potential matching locations. The location of a calendar item may be used for various auditing purposes, such as verifying work, mileage, or receipt logs, or for generating reports indicating the physical location of a person, device, or event.
