By Chance Patents (Class 369/66)
  • Patent number: 4827465
Abstract: A simplified sound reproducing device having a means for preventing collision between a record disc and a sound reproduction stylus is provided. According to the device, during the time of transportation a start lever is set at a position where it has been turned, whereby the center pin is moved downwardly by an inclined face formed on the start lever so that the record disc can be normally held at a position where it is placed away form the pickup of the sound reproducing device. When it is required to use the reproducing device for the purpose of playing, the start lever is turned back to the position where it had been before the first turning for the transportation, thereby subsequent pushing down of the start lever will make the inclined face move the center pin downward so as to move the record disc away from the pickup, then, the pickup is allowed to return to its starting point of sound reproduction and energizes a motor for starting the sound reproduction again.

  • Patent number: 4451911
Abstract: An electronic toy doll including electronic control circuitry responds to selection of one of a plurality of switches on the doll housing and selects associated vocal messages. The control circuitry includes a stored program of instructions and also permits a problem-solution mode of operation where the user is given a message selected by a weighted probability of the occurrence of a problem and then the doll responds according to how the user correctly or incorrectly responds to the various switch response operations possible.

  • Patent number: 4433404
Abstract: A one-way clutch is provided between a constant torque spring motor and a turn table. A locking projection in the one-way clutch acts to engage, through a rotatable locking piece, a locking face facing to the opposite direction of rotation of the record disc for reproducing sounds.By virtue of this locking driving force of the constant torque spring motor is transmitted to the turn table, while in the winding operation, applied force can be released by the slant face inclined toward the direction of rotation of the record disc and thereby can be disconnected with the turn table. Due to this simple construction, a one-way clutch applicable to this kind of constant torque spring motor for use in a sound reproducing device can be easily fabricated and assembled. In order to prevent any harmful frictional slippage of the pickup on the face of record disc by reverse turning of an indexing disc, another one-way clutch of similar construction is disposed between the indexing disc and the face plate.
