Abstract: In various aspects, power saving host-modem interactions are described herein. For instance, a host of a communication device includes a host processor that receives, via an interface, information about the reduced activity state of a modem of the communication device including an indication of the RRC state of the modem. It also receives, via the interface, information about a projected expiration of a reduced activity period of the modem including an indication of a time remaining until a next event of the modem. The host processor controls a reduction of an operation of a component of the communication device during the reduced activity period of the modem, based on the indication of the RRC state of the modem and the indication of the time remaining until the next event of the modem. Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are drawn to electronic systems that perform EHT operations for a wireless network supporting a 160+160 MHz/320 MHz operating mode. RTS/CTS frame exchange sequences and TXOP truncation can be performed using punctured preambles according to subchannels indicated in a bitmap subfield (e.g., an Allowed Bitmap Subfield). Preamble puncturing is supported for EHT PPDUs transmitted to multiple STAs using MU-RTS/MU-CTS frames transmitted in non-HT duplicate PPDUs. Preamble puncturing is also supported for an EHT PPDU transmitted to a single STA. The RTS and CTS frames can be sent in a non-HT duplicate PPDU with preamble puncturing, for example.

Abstract: Techniques for routing service mesh traffic based on whether the traffic is encrypted or unencrypted are described herein. The techniques may include receiving, from a first node of a cloud-based network, traffic that is to be sent to a second node of the cloud-based network and determining whether the traffic is encrypted or unencrypted. If it is determined that the traffic is encrypted, the traffic may be sent to the second node via a service mesh of the cloud-based platform. Alternatively, or additionally, if it is determined that the traffic is unencrypted, the traffic may be sent to the second node via an encrypted tunnel. In some examples, the techniques may be performed at least partially by a program running on the first node of the cloud-based network, such as an extended Berkeley Packet Filter (eBPF) program, and the like.

  • Patent number: 11824839
Abstract: A system for obscuring a source IP address of a source network device from a destination network device comprises a proxy manager and first and second disposable network proxies. Credentials for a plurality of disposable network proxies are provided to the source network device. A proxy disposal trigger is generated for each disposable network proxy in the plurality of disposable network proxies based on usage of the disposable network proxy. A connection request comprising the credentials and a destination IP address of the destination network device is received from the source network device. First traffic from the source network device to the destination network device is forwarded over a first connection with the destination network device that uses an IP address of the disposable network proxy. Second traffic from the destination network device to the source network device is forwarded over a second network connection with the source network device.

  • Patent number: 11824827
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for geographic region-based network address translation (NAT) between a public network and a private network having a plurality of defined geographic regions. In some embodiments, region-based NAT may assist to reduce latency, enhance quality, enhance security, and/or improve efficiency of network communications. In response to a data packet from a first port of a private IP address, of an endpoint in the private network, a region of the private network that includes an endpoint identified by the private IP address is determined. A public IP address is selected that is mapped to the determined region in the database. An available port of the selected public IP address is assigned for NAT. NAT is performed for data communicated between the public and private networks using a mapping of the first port of the first IP address to the second port of the second IP address.

  • Patent number: 11818802
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques performed at a user equipment (UE) provide for communicating directly with a base station using a first set of antennas and communicating indirectly with the base station (e.g., via a wireless node, a remote radio head, etc.) using a second set of antennas to fully exploit the potential capabilities of the physical antennas at the UE. For downlink communications, a UE may receive at least a subset of downlink signals from a base station via a wireless node, and, for uplink communications, the UE may transmit at least a subset of uplink signals to the base station via a wireless node. To facilitate these techniques, the UE may configure the wireless node to forward downlink signals received from the base station to the UE or to forward uplink signals received from the UE to the base station.

  • Patent number: 11818765
Abstract: A physical AP manages a plurality of BSSs through VAPs. The AP sends a trigger frame to reserve a TXOP including resource units the nodes access to transmit data during the reserved TXOP. To improve channel utilization, the trigger frame identifies a plurality of groups, nodes of which are allowed to access the resources units to transmit data during the reserved TXOP. Thus, the AP receives, during the reserved TXOP, data from one node of a first group identified in the trigger frame and data from one node (separate from the first one) of a second and separate group identified in the trigger frame. A single access by the AP to the medium is thus required, reducing the channel occupation due to control frames. In some embodiments, the number of trigger frames can be drastically reduce, while offering resource units to several BSSs.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for synchronized channel access. Some implementations more specifically relate to facilitating coexistence among wireless communication devices that support synchronized channel access and those that do not. A group of access points may schedule periodically recurring, synchronized channel access periods by periodically transmitting quiet elements. The quiet elements establish recurring quiet periods during which legacy devices are not permitted to transmit. In some implementations, an access point may transmit one or more quiet override elements each associated with a respective quiet element and indicating to other access points supporting synchronized channel access that they are permitted to contend for access during the respective quiet period.
