Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a network receives data indicative of a target state for one or more distributed learning agents in the network. The device determines a difference between the target state and state information maintained by the device regarding the one or more distributed learning agents. The device calculates a synchronization penalty score for each of the one or more distributed learning agents. The device selects a particular one of the one or more distributed learning agents with which to synchronize, based on the synchronization penalty score for the selected distributed learning agent and on the determined difference between the target state and the state information regarding the selected distributed learning agent. The device initiates synchronization of the state information maintained by the device regarding the selected distributed learning agent with state information from the selected distributed learning agent.

  • Patent number: 10547422
Abstract: Sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission with implied request-to-send (RTS)/clear-to-send (CTS) operations is discussed. Two different types of SRS are defined, a legacy SRS associated with channel measurement sounding, and a contention SRS associated with contention resolution for medium sharing. The type of SRS may be distinguished based on the SRS resource associated with the particular type. Thus, legacy SRS are assigned to one SRS resource, while contention SRS are assigned to separate SRS resources. Therefore, when a neighbor node detects an SRS associated with the SRS resource for contention-type SRS, the neighbor node may know to refrain from transmission or to adjust or modify its communications depending on a spatial direction of the contention SRS.

  • Patent number: 10420149
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method in a base station for random access preamble detection. The method comprises determining a frequency offset of a received uplink signal and adjusting the received uplink signal with the determined frequency offset. The method also comprises detecting, from the adjusted uplink signal, whether there is a random access preamble with a first false alarm value. Additionally, the method may further comprise detecting from the received uplink signal, whether there is a random access preamble with a second false alarm value, before determining the frequency offset of the received uplink signal. Determining the frequency offset of the received uplink signal may be performed in response that a random access preamble is detected with the second false alarm value, the second false alarm value being higher than the first false alarm value.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method of device-to-device (D2D) communication in a wireless communication network comprises a wireless device determining a division of a set of resources allocated for D2D communication into a plurality of regions. Each region of the plurality of regions is associated with a priority level, and the set of resources comprises a plurality of resource pools. Using a priority of the first wireless device and the division of the set of resources, the first wireless device determines one or more resources from the plurality of resource pools for transmission of a communication from the wireless device. The wireless device transmits the communication to another wireless device using the determined one or more resources.

Abstract: Beamforming in time division duplex (TDD) multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) systems is discussed involving user equipments (UEs) having asymmetric antenna configurations. Aspects of the present disclosure use different combinations of signaling overhead and feedback along with leveraging the channel reciprocity characteristics of TDD systems in order to determine channel estimates for determining beamforming vectors. Additional aspects determine scheduling between UEs with symmetric receiver/transmission chains and asymmetric receiver/transmission chains to optimize reference signal overhead for groups of UEs with common beamforming processes.

  • Patent number: 10405267
Abstract: Cell detection information, such as cell identity, frequency, dormant/active mode, etc. may be determined. This cell detection information may be reported based on properties of a received Auxiliary Synchronization Signal (AuSS) or discovery signal. The received signal may be processed as a function of its timing, for example, with respect to timing of a serving cell. A WTRU may obtain cell detection information for a neighbor cell. A cell may also be detected by surrounding WTRUs. A WTRU may determine timing of cell reactivation from a detected property of the AuSS or discovery signal. A WTRU may trigger an RRC procedure upon selecting a dormant but temporarily reactivated cell. An eNB may transmit AuSS for a dormant cell based on detection of signals received from neighbor cells. Quasi-colocation (QCL) demodulation may be performed based on the detected signal. The on/off state of a cell may be indicated.
