Adaptive Selection Of Channel Assignment Technique Patents (Class 370/437)
  • Patent number: 11153862
Abstract: A network device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), or a new radio NB (gNB)) can process or generate a configuration of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring in different search spaces sets independently from one another in order to manage different services optimally. A processor of the network device can be configured to receive physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates of a PDCCH in a slot for channel estimation across search spaces of the slot. Different priorities can be determined among the PDCCH candidates in the slot based on a priority rule. Then a number of PDCCH candidates can be skipped/dropped from monitoring based on the different priorities of the PDCCH candidates to ensure that a threshold level of blind decoding operations across a plurality of slots of the PDCCH is being satisfied. The UE can monitor a portion of the PDCCH candidates while concurrently skipping another.

  • Patent number: 10149321
Abstract: Techniques for procedures using request to send/clear to send (RTS/CTS) procedures and multiple timers are described. A RTS/CTS procedure using multiple timers may use a first timer and a second timer. The first timer may be associated with a duration to transmit and receive a request to send (RTS) message and a clear to send (CTS) message. The second timer may be associated with a duration to transmit a data message. A network device may transmit a RTS message to request communication resources to transmit data. If the CTS message is not received prior to the expiration of the first timer, neighboring network devices may determine that the communication resources were not allocated and may attempt to request the newly available resources. If a CTS message is received, the network device may communicate the second timer data to the neighboring network devices in a variety of ways.

  • Patent number: 10148455
Abstract: A data processing apparatus includes multiple processing means that are connected in a ring shape via corresponding communication means respectively. Each communication means includes a reception means for receiving data from a previous communication means, and a transmission means for transmitting data to a next communication means. Connection information is assigned to each of the reception means and the transmission means. The communication means, when receiving a packet that has same connection information as one assigned to its reception means, causes the corresponding processing means to perform data processing on the packet, sets the connection information assigned to its transmission means to the packet, and transmits the packet to the next communication means, and when receiving a packet that has connection information that is not same as one assigned to its reception means, transmits the packet to the next communication means without changing the connection information of the packet.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for allocating transmission resources to MTC-type terminals and transmitting data in mobile telecommunication systems in dependence upon the capability of the RF receiver equipment of those terminals. Where a virtual carrier is established to carry data for a given MTC-type device, the position of the center frequency for that virtual carrier is assigned on the basis of both the capability of the RF receiver equipment of that terminal and the degree of traffic congestion on the frequency band at which the virtual carrier has been established.

Abstract: A satellite communication system comprises one or more non-geostationary satellites. Each satellite is configured to provide a plurality of spot beams using time domain beam hopping among the spot beams. The spot beams are divided into hopping groups and each satellite is configured to switch throughput and power among spot beams in a same hopping group at intervals of an epoch over a hopping period according to a hopping plan. Each satellite is configured to receive, change and implement the hopping plan in orbit while the satellite moves in relation to a fixed geographic coverage region. The satellites are programmable to assign any combination of epochs in a hopping plan among spot beams of a same hopping group and to route throughput between spot beams.

  • Patent number: 10098145
Abstract: Provided are a method and a device for transmitting and receiving a traffic stream in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system. Specifically, the device broadcasts a beacon frame including allocation information on a contention-free period (CFP) and allocation information on a contention period (CP) to a station (STA) and transmits a downlink traffic stream to the STA or receives an uplink traffic stream from the STA, based on the allocation information on the CFP. The allocation information on the CFP indicates that the downlink traffic stream is transmitted without performing a clear channel assessment (CCA) during the CFP and indicates that the uplink traffic stream is received with performing a CCA during the CFP.

  • Patent number: 10078875
Abstract: A data-processing tool for displaying real-time patient data on remote and/or mobile devices. The tool renders graphical data on the screen of the remote device in a manner that makes it practical for the health care provider to review the data. Charting components provide landscape support, an ability to overlay patient data and patient images, zoom in/zoom out, custom variable speed scrolling, split screen support, and formatting control. The methodology operates as an asynchronous application, allowing patient data to be streamed in real-time to the handheld device while conserving enough CPU power to simultaneously allow the end user to interact at will with the responsive display application. Finally, the methodology implements an IT management console that allows system managers to monitor the exchange of data between hospital systems and the primary database, including all patient data packets, notifications and alerts, connected remote devices, etc.

  • Patent number: 10055890
Abstract: A model includes model layers on which a wireframe representation of objects located at geographic coordinates is stored in a memory such that surface detail of the objects increases from a base model layer to an uppermost model layer. Digital data layers stored in the memory that encompass digital coordinates corresponding with the geographic coordinates. Digital content for augmenting scenes is stored on pre-selected digital data layers at pre-selected digital coordinates on those layers. One or more of the digital data layers are logically linked with one or more of the model layers. When the location and spatial orientation of a mobile device in which a scene is viewed is received, the digital content on the digital data layer logically linked to one of the model layers is transmitted over a wireless communication channel to the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10015788
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for signaling in a point-to-multi-point (PtMP) fixed wireless backhaul network, in which each Hub serves a plurality of Remote Backhaul Modules (RBM). A Hub serves one RBM in each subframe per carrier in TDMA fashion, comprising transmitting a 1 ms TDD frame comprising one DL subframe and one UL subframe and gaps necessary to switch the radio direction and accommodate round trip delay. DL and UL frames may be allocated to different RBMs, with a single RBM in each DL or UL subframe per carrier per antenna beam. Each Hub keeps an independent context for each of its served RBMs. A DL ranging frame carries general information. A UL ranging frame carries a ranging opportunity. RBMs not scheduled in the current timeslot continue to receive a PHY control channel from the serving Hub, and update their parameters or links for link adaptation.
