  • Patent number: 11076370
Abstract: A network includes an intermediate node to communicate with a child node via a wireless network protocol. An intermediate node synchronizer in the intermediate node facilitates time synchronization with its parent node and with the child node. A child node synchronizer in the child node to facilitates time synchronization with the intermediate node. The intermediate node synchronizer exchanges synchronization data with the child node synchronizer to enable the child node to be time synchronized to the intermediate node before the intermediate node is synchronized to its parent node if the intermediate node has not synchronized to its parent node within a predetermined guard time period established for the child node.

Abstract: An OFDMA subframe carrying different data fields in different time segments may include a separate short training field (STF), and a separate set of long training fields (LTFs), for each of the data fields to accommodate time-reuse scheduling. Communicating a separate STF for each data field may allow receivers to re-adjust automatic gain control (AGC) when the data fields carry different numbers of space-time-streams. Likewise, communicating separate sets of LTFs for each data field may allow different beamforming parameters to be applied to different data fields.

Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting a signal by a station in a wireless local area network (WLAN). The station obtains a transmission opportunity (TXOP) indicating a time duration used for transmission of a plurality of data units. The station transmits, during the TXOP, an initial data unit of the plurality of data units. The initial data unit comprises a control field indicating a transmit bandwidth of the initial data unit. The station selects a transmit bandwidth of a non-initial data unit of the plurality of data units to be narrower than the transmit bandwidth of the initial data unit. The station transmits, during the TXOP, the non-initial data unit. The non-initial data unit comprises a control field indicating the transmit bandwidth of the non-initial data unit.

Abstract: A base station transmits and a UE detects broadcast information when the UE operates in a Coverage Enhancement (CE) mode. The base station transmits repetitions of signaling conveying broadcast information in one or more subframes of each frame in a quadruple of frames. The transmission is intermittent in time. To detect the broadcast information, the UE blindly combines and decodes the repetitions of signaling assuming their existence. The base station informs the pattern for the intermittent transmissions of the signaling to UEs connected to the base station or to other base stations.

Abstract: Technical solutions are described for facilitating intra-vehicle wireless communication among a plurality of electronic control units. An example method includes determining, by a first electronic control unit in a vehicle, a wait-time for a message, which is to be transmitted to a second electronic control unit in the vehicle via a wireless channel. The first electronic control unit executes a first availability-check, by determining availability of the wireless channel. In response to the first availability-check indicating that the wireless communication channel is available, the method includes delaying transmission of the message by the wait-time. The method also includes executing, by the first electronic control unit, after passage of the wait-time, a second availability-check. In response to the second availability-check indicating that the wireless communication channel is still available, the method includes transmitting the message for receipt by the second electronic control unit.

  • Patent number: 10187758
Abstract: In accordance with one or more embodiments and corresponding disclosure thereof, various aspects are described in connection with providing shared scheduling request (SR) resources to devices for transmitting SRs. Identifiers related to the shared SR resources can be signaled to the devices along with indications of the shared SR resources in given time durations. Thus, devices can transmit an SR over shared SR resources related to one or more received identifiers for obtaining an uplink grant. This can decrease delay associated with receiving uplink grants since the device need not wait for dedicated SR resources before transmitting the SR. In addition, overhead can be decreased on control channels, as compared to signaling dedicated SR resources and/or uplink grants. Moreover, identifiers related to SR resources can correspond to a grouping of devices, such that a device can transmit over shared SR resources related to a group including the device.
