    Abstract: A device for true random number generation is disclosed. The device comprises an antenna and an analog processing unit for analog processing of a signal received from the antenna. An analog to digital (AD) converter is used for converting an analog signal generated by the analog processing unit into a digital signal. An isolation means is applied for temporarily isolating the antenna from the analog processing unit and the AD converter to generate a noise signal. A sampling means is used for sampling output values generated by the AD converter when the antenna is isolated from the analog processing unit and the AD converter. A digital processing unit is used for processing the sampled output values generated by the AD converter. The digital processing unit is configured to generate a random number based on one or more of the output values generated by the AD converter.

A joint control channel is disclosed that provides control information for all of the potentially available subframes to be scheduled for the uplink transmissions.

The DMA controller is also capable of tuning the channel clock dependant on the capabilities of any active devices. In this manner, the amount of bandwidth used during a DMA data transfer can be tailored to the specific requirements of the devices involved with the data transfer.

The station transmits, during the TXOP, the non-initial data unit, which comprises a control field indicating a selected bandwidth for the non-initial data unit.

The enabled CDMA signaling channels for a terminal and the average transmission interval for each enabled CDMA signaling channel are determined. The signaling for each signaling channel is processed (e.g., encoded, channelized, scaled, and scrambled). The processed signaling for all signaling channels is combined and mapped to a time-frequency region used for the CDMA control segment in the frame.
