  • Patent number: 11770522
Abstract: This application discloses a picture display order determining method which includes: obtaining a decoding order index value of a current picture and a decoding order index value of a previous picture that is adjacent to the current picture according to a decoding order; adding 1 to a cycle identifier value when the decoding order index value of the current picture is less than the decoding order index value of the previous picture; and determining a display order index value of the current picture based on a sum of the decoding order index value of the current picture and a preset positive integer multiple of the cycle identifier value. In this application, the display order index value of the current picture progressively increases based on a display order index value of a picture that is located before the current picture according to the decoding order.

  • Patent number: 11683544
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a monitoring device for determining one or more characteristics of one or more scheduled programs within one or more packetized elementary streams of one or more transport streams. The monitoring device receives the one or more transport streams from a service provider system and de-encapsulates the one or more packetized elementary streams from the one or more transport streams. The monitoring device determines the one or more characteristics of the one or more scheduled programs from the one or more packetized elementary streams. The one or more characteristics can be used by the monitoring device to adapt on a dynamic, real-time, or near real-time, basis to changes to the one or more transport streams.

  • Patent number: 11605403
Abstract: Methods and systems for compressing video content are presented. The methods and systems include analyzing a sequence of media frames stored in the memory device and calculating a displacement level of each of the media frames. The displacement level indicates how different each of the media frames is to a previous media frame. The sequence of media frames is divided into a plurality of cuts where each cut ends at a media frame having a substantially high displacement level. Frames to be removed from the sequence of media frames are identified in each cut based upon the frame's displacement level. The identified frames are then removed.

  • Patent number: 11381332
Abstract: A method for playing out a media program including a primary programming. The method includes storing the primary programming; forming first and second sets of content for play-out during a break in the primary programming, where the second set's duration differs by less than a predetermined amount from the duration of the first set of content transmitting, by a first mechanism, a base program including the primary programming and subsequently, during the break, the first set of content, and after the break, the primary programming; and transmitting, by a second mechanism, the primary programming at a first time offset to the transmitting by the first mechanism before the break and subsequently, during the break, the second set of content and after the break, the primary programming at a second time offset to the transmitting by the first mechanism, after the break, the first and second time offsets being different.

  • Patent number: 10270835
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer programs are provided for determining header data for and based on a plurality of messages. Each message comprises header data having a plurality of fields each of which has a value. A first message is received and data indicative of at least some of the header data of the first message is stored. A second message is received and a value for at least one given field associated with header data for the second message is determined based at least on the stored data and the header data of the second message. The determined value is other than a value of the given field of the second message.

  • Patent number: 10034045
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate the anticipatory acquisition of PMT information. A device may recognize a trigger within a transport stream, wherein the trigger indicates an audio/video transition and initiates a PMT acquisition by the device. Upon acquisition of the PMT, the device may process information carried by the transport stream after the audio/video transition. In embodiments, a device may acquire a PMT having information associated with a planned audio/video transition, wherein the information includes a time reference for when the audio/video transition will occur and information that may be used by the device to process information carried by the transport stream after the audio/video transition.

  • Patent number: 9930073
Abstract: When operating the radio communication system in a mode for transmitting data for data communication instead of audio signal data, a transmission unit of a radio apparatus generates a packet in which data for data communication is inserted in positions in an audio frame, except for a given position, and in a data frame, and unique data is inserted in the given position in the audio frame. Also, data that is likely to cause an error when the data inserted in the audio frame is decoded by using an audio codec is used as the unique data.

  • Patent number: 9917931
Abstract: A transmission unit of a radio apparatus generates a packet including: a header part containing identifier data identifying at least a transmission destination radio station and a transmission source radio station; and a data part in which an audio frame and a data frame, each having a predetermined length, are consecutively arranged one after another. When communication is performed in a fast data mode in which data for data communication to be transmitted, instead of a digital audio signal, is inserted in the audio frame, the transmission unit generates, according to an instruction from the controller, a packet in which data for data communication is inserted in the audio frame and the data frame, and the transmission unit converts the packet into a radio signal and transmits the radio signal.

  • Patent number: 9838514
Abstract: In a radio apparatus that can simultaneously perform audio communication and data communication, the amount of data for data communication that can be transmitted during a single call is increased, and the communication speed of data communication is thereby increased. A transmission unit generates a packet in which an audio frame and a data frame, are consecutively arranged one after another. When receiving a transmission start command from a controller the transmission unit generates a packet in which data of an audio signal is inserted in the audio frame and data for data communication is inserted in the data frame, and when receiving a mode change command from the controller, the transmission unit generates and transmits, during a fixed time period from reception of the command, a packet in which data for data communication is inserted in the audio frame and the data frame.

  • Patent number: 8660401
Abstract: The present invention relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, a playback device, a playback method, and a recording medium, which enable the same information to be added to pictures corresponding to a basic stream and an extended stream to be used for display of a 3D image. At the time of encoding, Picture Timing SEI to be added to each picture of a Base view video stream, and Picture Timing SEI to be added to each picture of a Dependent view video stream are generated so that a Picture Timing SEI set to be added to the corresponding pictures represents the same content. The present invention can be applied to a playback device compatible with the BD-ROM standard.
