One example method involves presenting a frame on a user interface to present information in a selectable format. Another example method involves using a circuit device to detect selection of a frame as displayed and causing display of further graphical information in an un-selectable format.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the field of network technologies, including a resource transfer method and apparatus and a storage medium. The method includes: storing a graphic code in the specified application client, the graphic code being sent by a specified server when a network is already connected, the graphic code including a user identifier used by the specified application client to log in to the specified server, and the graphic code being obtained by the specified server from a third-party server accessed by an interface of the specified server, and presenting a stored graphic code when detecting a graphic code calling operation.

Abstract: The invention provides a call-out method and apparatus for an immediate callback, an electronic device, and a computer readable medium, and can solve the problem that the existing call-out scheme of the preview type cannot effectively implement an immediate callback, and can improve user experience, increase an agent utilization rate, and reduce a pressure on a system caused by frequent scheduling of timed tasks. The call-out method for an immediate callback of the invention comprises: receiving an immediate callback request of a user, the immediate callback request including a callback number and submitted service data; determining, according to pre-stored mapping relationships between service data and agent's telephone skills, agents processing the submitted service data; and judging whether a ready agent exists in the agents, and if so, immediately calling the callback number; otherwise, calling the callback number when there is a ready agent.

Abstract: Example embodiments provide a system that uses a conversational agent to collect information and publish the information on a network. A computer-implemented conversational agent establishes a communication session with a user and receives conversational information via a simulated conversation between the user and the computer-implemented conversational agent via the communication session, whereby the conversational information comprises information to be published. The computer-implemented conversational agent also receives, via a graphical user interface, an upload of an image that is associated with the information to be published. The computer-implemented conversational agent then causes publication of the information to be published and the uploaded image.

Abstract: Provided is a method for providing a related application list on the basis of a message. An application list providing method according to an embodiment of the present invention, which is performed by an application list providing device, may comprise the steps of: receiving a provided message; determining a keyword on the basis of the message; determining an application list associated with the message by using the determined keyword, wherein the application list includes at least one application (APP); generating a deep link for at least one application included in the application list by using the determined keyword; and providing the application list and the deep link.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving an indication of a reward-generating event comprising an action performed by a first user of a social-networking system in response to an advertisement. The advertisement may have been selected by the social-networking system based at least in part on a bid amount from an advertiser. The method may further include updating a social graph of the social-networking system based on the reward-generating event, wherein updating the social graph comprises adding an edge connecting a first node to a second node corresponding to the advertisement or an entity associated with the advertisement. The method may further include determining and allocating a first portion of the bid amount to allocate to the first user and a second portion of the bid amount to allocate to the social-networking system based on the reward generating event.

In one aspect, disclosed herein are computer-implemented systems comprising a digital processing device comprising at least one processor, an operating system configured to perform executable instructions, a memory, and a computer program including instructions executable by the digital processing device to create a pay-per-access micropayment-based server application.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for identifying an identity, device and a communication terminal. The method includes that: a voiceprint feature of a current call object and a mobile phone number of the current call object are extracted; the identity of the current call object is identified according to the voiceprint feature and the mobile phone number. The present disclosure solves the problem in the related art that it is difficult to effectively identify the identity of a call object, thus providing a method for effectively identifying the identity of a current call object and technically reducing the probability of phone fraud on a user.

Abstract: A communication device is operable to receive broadcast information communicated by a network access device specifying one or more advertised services provided via the network access device. The communication device then determines whether to connect via the network access device based on the received information. The network access device comprises an IEEE 802.11 access point, a user end-point device, a private access point network access device, and/or a wired network routing device. The advertisement broadcast is performed via beacon signals, other broadcast messages, and/or utilizing advertisement framing procedure, wherein service related information are set directly into beacons signal messaging, and/or communicated via advertisement subframes. The advertisement communication may comprise a multi-stage procedure, where a first stage enables obtaining service related information without attachment and/or full login into the network access device.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided and includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions that when executed from a non-transitory physical medium by the processor cause the processor to detect when a request for interaction that is configured for a scheduled processing is received or otherwise registered at a service access point associated with a contact center, identify schedule data from the request and add the schedule data along with a request identification and a location identifier to a scheduling and reporting application, consult a contact center interaction routing system in response to determining that the scheduled interaction request is to be processed, and route or cause processing of the interaction request based on the schedule data. According to one embodiment, the schedule data includes a scheduled time and date for processing the request.

Abstract: Detailed information about a party can be provided during interparty communication. Data-capable mobile devices query at least a public database to retrieve information about a set of parties engaged in communication. The results of the database query are employed to provide detailed caller identification and detail functionality to telephones or communication devices not utilizing traditional landlines or commercial caller identification service. Storage can be included to include address book function, query caching, and user preferences. An interface can be provided to facilitate display of rich caller identification information. The interface can further update displayed information without user input, or provide user selection control to request more information on a selected portion of displayed information. These features can be applied to determine the information about a party that is either receiving a communication or initiating a communication.

Abstract: An analyzer resource receives call information about outbound phone calls from multiple phone numbers to target phone numbers in a phone network. The analyzer resource analyzes the call information to detect likely unwanted call activity. Based on the analyzing, the analyzer resource produces a list of phone numbers from which one or more entities originate unwanted calls to the subscribers in the phone network.

Abstract: An intelligent dialing method and a terminal are provided by the present invention. The method includes: a terminal receiving a called number input by a user and inquiring home location information of the called number; obtaining home location information of a local host number and information of a telecommunication operator to which the local host number belongs; determining a call type of this call according to the home location information of the called number and the home location information of the local host number; extracting a dialing prefix corresponding to the telecommunication operator to which the local host number belongs and the call type according to corresponding relationship information among a stored dialing prefix with the telecommunication operator and the call type; and combining the extracted dialing prefix with the called number into a target number to make the call.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to systems and methods of personalizing a self-service option for customers. Customers are identified at call inception and the self-service channel is personalized to tailor the caller experience based upon information specific to each customer. The systems and methods of telephone channel personalization is company/provider driven, which allows the provider to control and personalize the caller experience based on criteria set by the provider. The telephone channel personalization systems and methods determine what choices to present to the caller (i.e., in a speech self-service application—what to say and how to say it). A personalized self-service channel reduces call time and enhances the caller experience and therefore is an attractive option for businesses utilizing a call-center model. The personalized self-service application caters to the needs of a particular customer and appears to the customer that the provider knows why they are calling.

Abstract: A communication device having a communication module as data circuit-terminating equipment connecting to a wireless packet communication network, and a controller interposed between the communication module and a data terminal equipment. The controller controls communication performed by the data terminal equipment using the communication module. The controller extracts, from a communication message sent from the data terminal equipment to a first management server, identification information of the data terminal equipment, stores the extracted identification information in a storage, and transmits the extracted identification information to a second management server by using the communication module when communication is not performed between the data terminal equipment and the first management server.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling an incoming call to an incoming call subscriber terminal of a mobile communication system. A Mobility Management Entity (MME) receives the incoming call for the incoming call subscriber terminal from an outgoing call terminal, analyzes a type of the incoming call subscriber to determine whether a call restriction is required for incoming calls to the incoming call subscriber terminal, determines whether an outgoing call number of the outgoing call terminal is one of previously registered call-allowed numbers, if the call restriction is required; and pages the incoming call subscriber terminal, if the outgoing call number is one of the previously registered call-allowed numbers.

Abstract: A wireless device may include logic that enables the wireless device to interface with the external computing device. The wireless device may also include rule logic to direct handling by the external computing device of call events of the wireless device.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and a method for updating information of contacts is provided, and the mobile terminal includes: an edition module, configured to provide a contact update interface containing a selection control and an edition control, wherein the selection control is used for generating a selection instruction according to an operation from a user, and the edition control is used for generating an edition instruction according to an operation from the user; a control module, configured to select information of multiple contacts according to the selection instruction from the selection control and edit the information of the multiple contacts according to the edition instruction from the edition control; and an update module, configured to update information of the multiple contacts stored in a database as the information of the multiple contacts being edited by the control module. Advantageously, the effect of improving user experience is reached.

Abstract: A method system and apparatus for enhancing digital voice call initiation between a first telephony device and a second telephony device is provided. Text data is associated with digital voice data conveyed between the first telephony device and the second telephony device, the associating occurring prior to initiating transmitting the digital voice data, the text data based on input data received via an input device associated with the first telephony device. The text data is transmitted to the second telephony device in conjunction with transmitting the digital voice data, the text data to be provided synchronously at the second telephony device with an announcement of the digital voice data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a message in Caller-ID information are described. In one embodiment of the present invention, an applications server, such as service control point (SCP), substitutes a message for Caller-ID information when a switch serving the called party's line requests the Caller-ID information. An embodiment may also include an application that provides a user interface, for example, a web-enabled interface, to allow the subscriber to add or change the message.

Abstract: A mobile device can send a notification to place a call using a PBX (e.g., using SIP signaling) or receive a notification of call availability for the mobile device at the PBX. An authentication token is provided over a data channel for use in authenticating the mobile device when calling the PBX on a voice channel. However, when the mobile device calls the PBX (e.g., on a DNIS number, where ANI information is made available to an application server), if ANI information is found to correspond to the mobile device, the PBX can send tone(s) indicating that the mobile device can respond with an abbreviated validation tone, rather than the entirety of the authentication token. If the ANI information is not obtained or not matched, then a different tone(s) is sent, indicating to provide the authentication token. If the authentication token provided does not match or if the mobile device does not respond, the voice channel is not set up.

Abstract: A third party call control (3PCC) application program interface (API) permits for users to use a web browser or other Internet capable software to place a call. The third party call control application program interface includes a first uniform resource locator operable over the Internet to effect a call between first and telephonic devices to be completed. The first uniform resource locator includes identification of the first telephonic device and identification of the second telephonic device.

Abstract: A system and method for providing private information content to a voice telephone call parties prior to, during or following a call. In one aspect, the system and method may be implemented in a voice telephone communication apparatus that is adapted to hold information content in an information store on behalf of the call party, gather information that is private to the call party and add it to the information store as part of the information content, and retrieve the information content from the information store and present it to the call party in response to an information presentation initiation action. In another aspect, the system cooperates with a premises or equipment monitoring system, such as a security system, to provide monitoring information to a telephone call party.

Abstract: A portable terminal can analyze a voice of the other party and update a phonebook. A voice pattern can be extracted from an incoming voice signal. A determination is made whether the extracted voice pattern is contained in a list of voice patterns stored in the portable terminal. If the extracted voice pattern is contained in the list, a determination is made whether a stored phone number matches a received phone number. If the stored phone number is not identical to the received phone number, the stored phone number is changed with the received phone number. Therefore, the phonebook can be automatically (e.g., without user input) updated although the user does not directly change and store phone numbers of other parties.

Abstract: A facility for blocking telephone calls is described. The facility is implemented by a telecommunications system that manages assigned and unassigned telephone numbers. The facility determines that a call originator has made two telephone calls to two different unassigned telephone numbers. The facility adds the call originator to a blacklist for a default time period. If the call originator calls any managed telephone number during the default time period, the facility renews the default time period. After the default time period expires, if the call originator makes additional telephone calls to other unassigned telephone numbers, the facility adds the call originator to the blacklist for a time period that is increased from the default time period. The facility increases the time period with each additional call to an unassigned telephone number. Accordingly, the time period is a function of the number of unassigned telephone numbers called by the call originator.

Abstract: In system and method of prioritizing a voice mail message, a voice mail message is received comprising caller information and chronological information, a voice mail priority is associated with the first voice mail message based on at least one of a matching criteria, a call history criteria, a chronological criteria, a frequency metric, and a missed call value, and a voice mail list is ordered according to the voice mail priority.

Abstract: A method includes receiving an authentication certificate of a voice mail account holder and/or an authentication certificate of a caller wanting to leave a voice mail message the holders' voice mail account. A voice mail apparatus that provides voice mail service for the voice mail account holder performs such receiving. The account holder and/or the caller are authenticated after receiving the authentication certificate of the party being authenticated. Authenticating the account holder and/or the caller is performed using authentication information contained within the respective certificate. After such authentication is successfully performed, a voice mail message record can be created in the account of the account holder. Such creating includes allowing the caller to store the message in the account of the account holder in addition to associating authenticated identification information of the caller with the message and/or providing authenticated identification of the account holder to the caller.

Abstract: An apparatus and methods are disclosed for enabling a telecommunications terminal to notify its user of the arrival of a message via an acoustic or visual signal whose properties are based on attributes of the message. A network infrastructure element (e.g., a switch, a private branch exchange [PBX], a server, etc.) receives a message directed to a terminal and sets the values of ringtone properties (e.g., tempo, volume, pitch, rhythm, etc.) based on attributes of an incoming message (e.g., the sender, a priority, a subject, the location from which the message was sent, etc.). In a first illustrative embodiment the network infrastructure element sends the message and the instantiated ringtone to the terminal, while in a second illustrative embodiment the network infrastructure element sends the message and the property values to the terminal, and the terminal plays a locally-stored ringtone in accordance with the property values.

Abstract: A method and system for facilitating the navigation of menu trees offered by service providers is provided. The method of facilitating menu tree options at a menu tree facilitator includes the steps of receiving a customer request from a customer at a menu tree service center, the request including a customer identification, and determining one menu tree from a plurality of menu trees based on the customer request, wherein each of the plurality of menu trees is associated with a service provider. The method also includes determining at least a portion of the determined menu tree based on the customer request; and sending the portion of the determined menu tree to the customer based on the determination. The menu tree facilitator is a separate entity from the service provider.

Abstract: A method, a system and a device for call processing are disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention. The method includes: obtaining, by a call initiator, address information of all or part of call managers in a network domain that processes a call, where the all or part of the call managers include a call manager that processes the call and is adjacent to the call initiator; sending, by the call initiator, a first call creating request message to an adjacent call manager according to the address information of the all or part of the call managers; and receiving, by the call initiator, a first call creating response message from the adjacent call manager. In the case that a service at a client side is required to be sent through multiple networks at a server side, inter-domain link selection and admission control may be implemented through section call processing.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, and devices for user supervision and notification. In this regard, one embodiment of such a method, among others, can be broadly summarized by the following: monitoring activities performed by a telephone device; and notifying a user of the activities performed by the telephone and identification of users performing the activities, notification of activities being made by the telephone device.

Abstract: Mobile devices are authorized to access PBX-based voice services through presentation of audible tones on a voice channel, which are determined based on a code received over a separate data channel. The device can request a code over a data channel from a server in communication with the PBX. The server provides data representative of the code over the data channel to the device, and arranges for local storage of the code. The device makes a connection with the PBX over a separate voice channel. The mobile device presents the received code as a sequence of audio tones (e.g., DTMF tones). The audio tones are used to generate data that can be compared with stored codes by an authentication module. The authorization module can indicate to the PBX that the code is valid; services can be provided by the PBX in response. The valid codes can be maintained, such as by removing used codes from code storage.

Abstract: In a communication system comprising multiple networks, a system is provided for notifying a caller that a call destination who was initially unavailable is now available, involving subscribers of possibly different networks. The system, when installed in a network, can support destination availability notifications following failed call attempts in which at least one user is a user of the network, regardless to which network the other user subscribes.

Abstract: A telephone connection is established between a first terminal and a second terminal. The first terminal is presumed to be associated with a subscription in a first home telephone network in which the terminal is identified by a first network identity. Correspondingly, the second terminal is presumed to be associated with a subscription in a second home telephone network in which the second terminal is identified by a second network identity. A host resource routes a call from the first terminal to the second terminal based on a combination of the first network identity and a first common telephone number in the first home telephone network dialed by the first terminal. The first common telephone number is selected such that it is unique and is adapted to be shared among a group of users in the first home telephone network.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention comprise a device, system, and method of receiving a phone call to a non-Inward WATS phone number, such as a typical non-toll free phone number, forwarding the phone call to a carrier capable of reading ANI information associated with the call, and providing ANI information to the called party. The providing of ANI information may be by way of forwarding to a toll-free number of a provider and populating caller ID data with ANI information before forwarding to the called party, or by way of forwarding the call to a provider with the ANI information, whereby the provider forwards the call and information gleaned from the ANI information to the called party.

Abstract: Multiple instances of an incoming call in an integrated system capable of communicating through multiple networks are associated such that the called party is provided a single (merged) notification along with options to select among available call types. The call is established using a selected network and end device registered to the called user. Association of the instances is accomplished by comparing caller identity derived from a variety of information associated with the calling party. Conversation or correlation IDs are used to associate the instances as being for the same call and with other related communications such as a related instant messaging session.

Abstract: A method in one embodiment includes receiving input identifying a plurality of callers within a listening or speaking range of a phone device being used to place a call. The input is then sent over a packet-based network to a server that authenticates and authorizes each of the callers to the call. Following authentication and authorization by the server, a name or caller ID of each of the callers is sent to a destination endpoint device of the call. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.

Abstract: In a technique for enhancing discoverability and increasing usage of a web browser in a mobile device on a wireless network, a server system coupled to the wireless network receives a signal representing initiation of a voice call from the mobile device. In response, the server system performs a lookup to determine whether a website is associated with the telephone number being called. If a website is associated with the telephone number being called and the mobile device has the capability to access and display the website, the server system sends an Alert to the mobile device, causing the mobile device to notify its user about the website. The user may then input a selection to either access the website instead of completing the call or to proceed with the voice call.

Abstract: An IP telephony system allows users of the IP telephony system to register extension telephony devices with the IP telephony system. An extension telephony device is one that is provided with service by a separate telephony service provider. Once an extension telephony device is registered, a user can obtain communications services from the IP telephony system using the extension telephony device. A extension telephony device may be tied to a user's main telephony services account with the IP telephony system such that when the user obtains communications services from the IP telephony system using an extension telephony device, the user will be billed for those communications services through the user's main account.

A current location of a given individual within a domain is automatically determined and the given individual is automatically associated with a telephone extension number based on the current location of the given individual. As the given individual moves around within the domain, the associated telephone extension number associated with the given individual is updated. A receptionist or other individual within the domain may select to telephone the given individual thereby automatically accessing and dialing the telephone extension number currently associated with the given individual in response to selecting to telephone the given individual. If the given individual is not currently located within the domain, an external telephone number associated with the given individual may be automatically accessed and dialed in response to selecting to telephone the given individual.

Abstract: Provided is a communication connection device that, if receiving an incoming call in which a representative telephone number that represents a group of mobile telephones is dialed, ensures that one of users of the mobile telephones answers the incoming call for sure.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for direct marketing comprising establishing a first communications link between a prospective customer using a device having a unique identification number and a communications device, automatically transmitting the unique identification number associated with the prospective customer's device to the communications device, establishing a second communications link between the communication device and a computer operably connected to a tangible memory apparatus having a prospective customer database comprising prospective customer information associated with the unique identification number of the prospective customer's device.

Abstract: When one party to an active call has momentarily stepped away from the call that has not been put on hold, the other party can record and leave a message for the party that stepped away, and then hang up. The call is monitored for return of the party that stepped away. When the returned party begins to speak, the message is immediately played to the returned party in response. In a conference, after a conferee who wishes to leave the conference, records a message and hangs up, the conference is monitored for either a break in the conversation or conversation directed to the party that left, and in response the message is played to the other conferees.

Abstract: System and method for communicating information from an information provider to a recipient are provided. One illustrative application for the system and method is in a medical practice. The system and method may be used as an automated patient medical information message retrieval system to communicate certain medical information from the medical provider to patients. The system and method permits a provider of medical information, such as a physician's office, to generate messages containing medical information and to deliver the message to a destination mailbox. The patient is provided with a telephone number, personal voice mailbox number, and a personal voice mailbox PIN, to access and retrieve the medical message from the destination mailbox.

Abstract: A Call Alerting and Control System is provided in a communication environment to allow an Internet user (“user”) approximately real-time monitoring of information about an incoming call from a calling party while maintaining a connection with the Internet. The monitored information can include the calling party's name and telephone number. The system could also allow the user to provide an answering machine-type message to the calling party and the user to listen to the calling party's response to the message while still connected to the Internet. The system can further allow the user to reroute, answer or otherwise treat the incoming call while, at the user's discretion, either maintaining or disconnecting a connection to the Internet.

Abstract: A platform provides access to multiple telecommunications services via a single telephone number. These services may include, for example, voicemail services, facsimile messaging services, paging services, and outbound calling services. A guest caller may call the single phone number to speak to a subscriber, leave a voicemail message for a subscriber, leave a facsimile message for a subscriber, or place a page to a subscriber. A subscriber may call the phone number to place outbound calls. In addition, a subscriber may call the single phone number to retrieve or send facsimile messages and/or voicemail messages. A subscriber may also call the phone number to configure service options. For instance, a subscriber may select routing options and choose what services are available to guest callers.

Abstract: Information is received from a caller via a wireless device and communicated to an external computing device. Contact information for the caller is located using at least one of a name and phone number of the caller, and when the contact information for the caller is located, it is displayed on a display of the external computing device.

Abstract: A system and method for providing enhanced information to a user is described. A broadband access gateway communicatively coupled to a plurality of access devices may collect information about multimedia content available on the access devices and/or information exchanged with access devices. The gateway may search the collect information upon receiving information identifying a called or calling party, to find information that may be associated with the called or calling party. Selected items of the information associated with the called or calling party may then be delivered to the access device of the called or calling party. Information accessible to the gateway via a broadband connection may also be made available to the user of the access device.

Abstract: Systems and methods which detect unauthorized, impermissible, or otherwise undesired call activity through the use of one or more third party databases are shown. For example, a controlled environment facility information management system may access a database external thereto, such as a victim notification database, which is created and maintained by a third party unrelated to the controlled environment facility. Such third party database access may be accomplished at the point of call validation or caller verification for determining the treatment of the call (e.g., allowed, blocked, allowed with limitations, etcetera). Such call treatment determinations may be made with respect a particular prisoner or other resident of the controlled environment facility making the call, may be made with respect to all calls made from a particular controlled environment facility, may be made with respect to a group of controlled environment facilities, etcetera.
