Patent number: 7266915Abstract: The present invention relates to an ironing plate. Double sides may be used for ironing. In the present invention, front and back surfaces as well as curved portions of clothes are effectively ironed without forming wrinkles in a state that clothes are putted onto an ironing plate through a 3D ironing surface formed based on the curves of human body. In addition, ironing parts are provided based on the characteristic of each part of upper garment, sleeve of upper garment and lower garment for thereby enhancing an ironing efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2004Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Inventor: Gi Beom Lee

Patent number: 5822894Abstract: An ironing board in which two pressing portions supported to both ends of a pole have their own pressing surfaces on the sides opposite to the pole, respectively, the width of one pressing surface can be increased and reduced, an auxiliary pressing portion with a convex pressing surface can be installed and removed in and from one pressing portion, and a retainer member for restraining an ironed substance is equipped. With this configuration, various types of pressing surfaces can be diverted with simple operation, and iron-pressing can be carried out without displacing the ironed substance, thereby achieving improved ironing efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 1996Date of Patent: October 20, 1998Assignee: NKG Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yasuhiro Ohsugi

Patent number: 5016367Abstract: An ironing board that includes a main board and two swingable board extensions retractable attached to the main board. The main board comprises a relatively wide section and a comparatively narrow section forming a single planar ironing surface. The narrow section is adapted to telescopically receive a trouser leg, which can be rotated so that all trouser leg areas can be ironed. The swingable board extensions are adapted to receive the sleeve areas of shirts and blouses.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 1990Date of Patent: May 21, 1991Inventors: Christine O. Breen, Joseph M. Breen

Patent number: 4956929Abstract: A pivotally adjustable ironing board including a supporting frame and first and second ironing tables which rotate separately about separate portions of a substantially horizontally disposed portion of the supporting frame. The first ironing table includes two major working surfaces arranged parallel one with the other; the second ironing table includes two major working surfaces arranged in non-parallel, non-coplanar fashion one with the other. The second ironing table includes a profiled edge portion at one end which edge is arranged to accommodate a garment and to facilitate pressing of that garment. Each ironing table employs a separate spring biased locking mechanism each of which is used to secure its respective ironing table at least generally horizontally in a position for use. The supporting frame is adjustable and includes telescoping members and a securement device which device secures the telescoping members with respect of one to the other, to establish a desired height for the ironing surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1989Date of Patent: September 18, 1990Inventor: Supon Chirabandalsuk

Patent number: 4910894Abstract: In a press wherein an expandable buck and a heated pressing plate are utilized, provision is made for the expansion of the buck without interrupting the overall press finish of garments of varying dimension. The expandable buck includes a thickened longitudinally extending central buck member and two side members. These two side members telescope outwardly from the central buck member. In operation, a garment such as a shirt is passed over the expandable buck. The buck is then expanded at the side members until the garment at its full girth is stretched over the buck. The pressing plate is configured to coact with the buck. It includes an indentation that is configured to coact with the central buck member and thus effect pressing of that portion of the full girth of the garment that overlies the central buck member. It further includes side pressing surfaces designed for cooperative engagement at the expandable sides of the buck protruding beyond the central member.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1988Date of Patent: March 27, 1990Inventor: Henri Vartan

Patent number: 4819559Abstract: A pallet assembly for a multi-station printing machine, where the pallet is transported by an indexing arm, is secured to the arm by a ball and socket hinge assembly with the distal end of the pallet engaged over a keeper pin so that the pallet can selectably be disengaged from the pin and rotated about its longitudinal axis in order to turn over a garment disposed on the pallet and thereby permit imprinting the garment on both sides. A support structure extends laterally beyond the edges of the pallet in order to support an overhanging screen and squeegee whereby printing of the garment surface can be effected to the extreme side edges.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 1987Date of Patent: April 11, 1989Assignee: Precision Screen Machines, Inc.Inventor: Sandor Szarka

Patent number: 4779365Abstract: An ironing support or board structure has two parallel ironing surfaces formed of boards connected by spacer elements of small height. One of the ironing surfaces is formed by a single board, referred to as the main board. The other ironing surfaces are formed by two separate accessory boards which overhang or overlap the main board. The spacer elements which connect the accessory boards to the main board are associated with the main board at opposite ends of the main board. This results in free parts or free ends of each accessory board extending towards the other accessory board.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1987Date of Patent: October 25, 1988Inventor: Bernard Theeten

Patent number: 4689905Abstract: A laundry press of the type suitable for pressing all articles of apparel, especially shirts, is contained in a rectangular cabinet. The cabinet upon opening includes at least one panel member hinged at the bottom for bracing the cabinet in an upright position. The cabinet provides at its upper end the support structure for a buck and heated pressing plate for placing on the garments the desired press. The buck and heated pressing plate in turn fold upwardly from the cabinet and are supported so as to cantilever from the cabinet overlying the bracing panel member. The buck is provided with the capability of rotation with respect to the pressing plate. Thus, a garment once mounted to the buck can be pressed on all sides. The buck is provided with side arm members that fold outwardly to support a duality of function to the buck. First, the outwardly folding members expand the buck to enable pressing of virtually all sizes of shirts, coats and other abdominal garments.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 1986Date of Patent: September 1, 1987Inventor: Henri Vartan

Patent number: 4158265Abstract: A universal pressing ham support holds various pressing hams in various positions with a desired exposed pressing surface. A unitary formed support includes sidewalls having a central opening. The top edge of opposite sidewalls are provided with offset recesses, varying slightly in width which permit laying of the pressing ham on its shallow sidewalls. Opposite sidewalls have second recesses, with the width of one being substantially larger than the other for supporting the ham with the large sidewall exposed. The central opening supports the pressing hams on end. The inner vertical walls are specially stepped and shaped to locate the pressing hams in an essentially upright position with the desired end of the ham exposed for pressing.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 1978Date of Patent: June 19, 1979Inventor: June E.
