  • Patent number: 6038796
Abstract: This invention is formed such that the pressing table is formed by a pair of front-side pressing table and rear-side pressing table. This invention is also formed such that the pressing iron is formed by a pair of front-side pressing iron corresponding to the front-side pressing table and a rear-side pressing iron corresponding to the rear-side pressing table. Then, this invention is constructed such that the front-side pressing table and the rear-side pressing table are arranged side-by-side with a clearance being applied to arrange the overlapped portions of cloth. Further, this invention is provided with an operating mechanism for making a slight rearward positional displacement of both the rear-side pressing table and the rear-side pressing iron so as to make a taught state of the trousers during pressing of the trousers.

  • Patent number: 5758437
Abstract: A cuff presser which enables even an inexperienced operator to easily remove a shirt from a sleeve stretcher without wrinkling its sleeves and cuffs. The cuff presser has a cuff pressing member including two separate hollow cylindrical members. A cylinder is mounted in the cylindrical members. It has a rod pivotably carrying at its tip a pivot plate. A rod of another cylinder is mounted to the pivot plate. A leaf spring is fixed to the pivot plate. The pivot plate is pivoted by extending the second cylinder to open and close the leaf spring, which protrudes outwardly from a groove formed in the side of one of the cylindrical member, relative to the side face of the cylindrical member. The cylindrical member against which the leaf spring is pressed is moved by the first cylinder away from the other cylindrical member, on which is fitted a cuff.

  • Patent number: 5074065
Abstract: An ironing device automatically moves an ironing plate across an ironing table. A pneumatic jack is arranged integral with the ironing plate, supported by a guide including at least two columns, and is adapted to displace the ironing plate vertically. First and second carriages cooperate with first and second motors for moving the ironing plate across the surface of the ironing table. A manual control allows motion of the ironing plate either along the main axes of the carriages or along two axes diagonal with respect to the other axes. In preferred embodiments of the invention, various safety devices are employed to prevent the hot ironing plate from moving into zones which would cause injury to the user.

  • Patent number: 4280290
Abstract: The invention refers to a garment and like pressing machine comprising a stationary buck mounted on a frame and a complementary head moveably supported relative to the buck. The head is after the pressing operation initially elevated upwardly from the buck and then rearwardly away from the buck. The head is mounted at one end of a double-armed lever, which is pivotally mounted at the upper end of a column. The column is at its lower end pivotally mounted to the frame and is actuated by a power-operated jack. A second power-operated jack acts on one end of a second double-armed lever having the same pivot axle as the column. The opposite end of said second lever is connected to the first lever through a link. The second jack can by acting on the second lever move the head vertically downwardly into pressing contact with the buck and elevate it therefrom resp.
