Abstract: A flexible pouch is provided having arcuate shaped gusset seals sealed to the top and/or bottom of the inner surface wall of the pouch body. The arcuate shaped gussets provide a more durable seam than that of the axially sealed gussets of the prior art. The arcuate shaped gusset seals also allow for greater expansion of the gusset relative to the axially sealed gussets of the prior art. The flexible pouch may further include a plurality of elongated baffles disposed on the skirt. The elongated baffles are operable to provide support for the weight of a filled flexible pouch so as to help the pouch remain upright when placed on its bottom surface. The flexible pouch further includes a gas pocket disposed axially along the side portions of the pouch.

Abstract: A flexible container includes a panel structure of flexible web material, including panels that are adjoined to define a pouch. The pouch has a top opening with a fitment, and is expandable from a collapsed, unfilled condition to an expanded, filled condition. When the pouch is in the filled condition and resting on a flat surface, the panel structure supports the pouch in an upright orientation in which the fitment opening faces upward. The panel structure also provides the pouch with a flat footprint upon which the pouch overlies the flat surface. The flat footprint is defined in part by the pouch and in part by the lower handgrip in a condition folded beneath the pouch.

The meal is of the type that is purchased on a take-away or delivery basis for consumption, after transport to a dining destination and before the food component gets cold. This apparatus comprises: a pouch which defines an opening for receiving said beverage; and a spigot connected to said pouch for dispensing said beverage therefrom. The apparatus can also include means for sealing said opening to define a container and for releasing gas from said container such that, in normal use, said container remains sealed during said transport and such that, in normal use with a carbonated beverage, the carbonated beverage does not go flat before the food component gets cold. The sealing means can comprise a press-to-seal closure for sealing said opening and a labyrinth channel to vent said container.

Abstract: An improved storage bag comprises a bag body that defines an opening at a top thereof and two folding lines respectively at two opposing sides thereof. The bag body is provided with two handles respectively at the two opposing sides above the folding lines, so that when the bag body is extended into shape, the handles can be folded relative to the bag body along the folding lines to be overlapped horizontally. The bag body is provided with at least one support bar at each of the two opposing sides. Each support bar extends from a bottom of the bag body to an underside of one of the handles. The support bars can engage with the underside of one of the handles to support the bag body in the extended shape, thereby preventing the bag body from a collapse when the storage bag is in use.

Handles are built in to an extension on at least one side or end of the bag. The built-in handles do not include a woven layer. The extension includes multiple layers of film. The bag can comprise a sheet of plastic material with a seal for bonding two or more layers of film together along at least a portion of the length of the side having the extension thereon.

A fill line is located on the interior of the container in order to allow the user to know how much popcorn to put into the container such that it can still be easily closed.

A first handle is mounted on one panel at the opening and an horizontal slit is formed in the opposed panel so that the upper portion of the slit and the first handle can be used to lift the bag. A larger collar is formed on the same side as the first handle. The collar is configured to fit through, the horizontal slit opening to draw both opposed panels together at the mouth and allow a user to place the collar on one's neck or shoulder to carry the bag.

This opening is covered by a flap that extends down from the header over the opening. The flap is not sealed along the edges and can be completely pivoted away from the opening. Adhesive is placed on the flap that contacts the front of the pouch to close and seal the pouch opening.

The side panels are then pivoted inwardly and in overlaying fashion against the central panel in a second position to secure, in tamper evident fashion, the top of the base and secondary sheets.

Abstract: Improved merchandise bag with reinforced bag wall is formed of thinner than normal extruded film with a thickened center section. For merchandise bags, the thickened center section provides a stronger bag bottom and a stronger area for the formation of bag handles. Handle bags include soft loop, round die cut oval die cut, wave top, patch and rigid handles. For T-shirt style bags, the thinner plastic in the gusset and handle areas is made up for by multiple layers of film in these regions. T-shirt bags may have single, triple or folded gussets providing as many as eight layers of film in these regions. The thickened center section will substantially match the thickness of the gusseted areas and provide for a more easily stacked bag. The bags are formed of mono layer or multi-layer film and at least a portion of the bag walls is corona treated to improve adhesion.

In another embodiment, the method includes folding-over the layers of bag material.

Abstract: A bag structure includes a main body which has an opening at the upper end, two opposing surfaces, two folded portions formed on the surfaces close to the opening, and handles below the folded portions to facilitate hand grasping and hanging. When in use, the folded portions are folded and overlapped to form a folded edge; the handles are lifted to wrap the folded edge to increase the thickness above the handles so that support strength increases and grasping comfort improves. Elongated mounting slots make possible the use of shorter handles for the bags without sacrificing either the size of the mouth opening during loading or the carrying capacity of the bags.

Abstract: A heavy duty industrial plastic bag has a main handle at one end of the bag and is provided with an upper corner section that is used to create a spout to pour the contents of the bag therefrom. The invention provides for ease of pouring the contents from the bag through the spout by providing, at the lower portion of the side edge opposite the main handle and the spout corner section, an auxiliary handle or grip section. After the spout in the spout in the corner section has been formed the user can lift the bag via the main handle with one hand and then grasp the auxiliary grip with the other or free hand, thereafter easily tilting the bag to facilitate the pouring of the contents from the bag through the spout.

The bag comprises two handles, with one handle being primarily configured for carrying (but also useful for pouring), and the other being primarily configured for pouring. The handles are positioned on adjacent sides of the bag, with the pouring handle being positioned near the bottom half of the bag to facilitate a controlled tilting of the bag. In one embodiment, the bag also includes a third handle on the same side of the bag as the pouring handle. The bag is typically formed of plastic, and can be used for salt, animal food, and other pourable products. The bag has a very high strength, with the second handle being particularly strong as a result of a longitudinal seam positioned adjacent that handle.
