Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention, provided is a bag-shaped container including a tubular film and at least one pair of engagement portions. The tubular film has an inner surface and an outer surface, and is folded in a manner that the outer surface configures both an inner surface of a bag body and an outer surface of the bag body. The at least one pair of engagement portions projects from the inner surface of the bag body, and engages with each other.

Abstract: A zipper for a reclosable bag including an elongated groove profile having two arms which form a general U-shape to define an opening to a channel, and an elongated rib profile opposing the groove profile, wherein a plurality of first segments of the rib profile alternate with a plurality of second segments of the rib profile to create a structural discontinuity along a length thereof, wherein during interlocking the groove and rib profiles, an audible clicking sound of at least 50 dB on average is created during opening and closing.

Abstract: Some examples described herein include coffee bean packaging assemblies that integrate a packaging body with a grinding mechanism (e.g., a burr grinder). The example coffee bean assemblies described provide storage advantages (e.g., coffee beans and grinders do not need to be separately stored and located when wanting to dispense freshly ground coffee), as well as travel advantages (e.g., a separate coffee grinder does not need to be remembered packed when traveling).

Abstract: A storage bag includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall connected to the first sidewall so as to form an interior of the bag with an opening to the interior. The storage bag also includes at least one zipper profile provided adjacent to the opening to the interior of the bag. The at least one zipper profile has opposing closure elements that respectively interlock with each other. The storage bag also includes a slider with at least one opening member and at least one detent on at least one end of the bag. The at least one detent is configured to engage with the at least one opening member of the slider to provide a leak-proof end seal.

The first and second zipper strips form a first zipper and a second zipper that terminate in a first zipper termination and a second zipper termination, respectively. A respective pair of elongated projections is arranged on first and second sidewalls of the receptacle. A slider may be mounted to the closure, such that the elongated projections prevent further travel of the slider at opposing ends of the closure.

Abstract: A storage bag comprising first and second zipper profiles provided adjacent to an opening to the interior of the bag. The first and second zipper profiles are provided with opposing closure elements that respectively interlock with each other. The storage bag further includes first and second isolation sections between the first and second zipper profiles and a slider to occlude and to de-occlude the closure elements of the first and second zipper profiles. Abstract: A compound membrane breathing tube for use in spirometric applications is provided. The compound membrane comprises a first sheet and a second sheet of flexible sheeting connected together along the periphery thereof, and each of the sheets has an opening cut therethrough to create a flap. The flap of the first sheet overlaps the flap of the second sheet so as to present a higher relative resistance to airflow through the breathing tube at lower airflows.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a cooler for transferring a game head. In one aspect, a game head transfer device is provided. The device includes a body having an opening on an upper portion that is configured to receive a game head into the body, wherein a first portion and a second portion of the game head extend from the opening of the body when the body is in an opened position and a closed position. The device further includes one or more flap members configured to narrow the opening of the body between the first portion and the second portion of the game head. The device also includes one or more closing members configured to narrow the opening of the body adjacent a side of the first portion and a side of the second portion of the game head that extend from the opening.

Abstract: A container comprised of an inner bag having a chamber for holding an item and a top through which the item can be placed in the chamber; an odor containment section attached to the inner bag; an odor containment flap positioned inside of the inner bag and adapted to be folded over the item when the item is held in the chamber of the inner bag; and an outer bag that surrounds the inner bag and the odor containment section, with the top of the inner bag extending beyond a top of the outer bag. Generally, the container is used to contain or minimize the odors emitted by organic materials such as, food, plant matter, or feces.

A closure flap including a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer and being non-removably attached to the exposed segment of the back panel via the first adhesive layer and removably attached to a portion of the front panel via the second adhesive layer. After opening to access an interior of the package, the second adhesive layer can be used to reattach the closure flap to the front panel. A method of manufacturing the package is also provided.

The article of manufacture also includes at least about 15 pounds of a particulate, flowable composition contained therein. The bag can also have a closure system comprising a non-reusable closure and a reusable closure.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a secure access, easy opening tamper evident feature for sealable bags. The tamper evident feature provides dual zones for tamper-detection and may be sealed within a bag to form a package in such a manner that allows for the filling of product into the package and the handling of the package to be safely made, as the tamper evident feature may be positioned away from deleterious contact with the product. The package may be a combination of the tamper evident feature and a flexible bag. The package may include an easy opening end configuration for secure access inside the bag when the tamper evident feature is exposed and subsequently torn open by an end-user along the dual zones for tamper detection. The package may be formed with bags having side gussets or, alternatively, with folded-closed end. Methods for making and filling such packages are also provided.

The pliable ends, front, and back provide for collapse when the apparatus is not laden. The top is permanently affixed to the back and removably affixed to the two ends and the front. A unique hook latch provides for latch and release via stretching the pliable front and top. The rigid, removable bottom insert provides greater apparatus rigidity in use. Partially recessed wheels are fitted to the bottom. Straps encircle the bottom and extend up a majority of the sides, where the straps and handles are reinforced, so that the apparatus can be pulled or carried by the straps.

Abstract: A collapsible container for holding popcorn that is comprised of a front panel, a rear panel, and gusseted side panels. The front and rear panels have pockets mounted at the base of the container. The container also includes carrying handles incorporated into the top of the front and rear panels. The container also contains a releasably sealable opening that maybe sealed by a number of different methods and mechanisms. When the container is open, the user may add a topping, and then seal and shake the container in order to distribute the flavoring agent. Additionally, the user may seal the container, thereby trapping heat so as to maintain an elevated temperature for the popcorn. The resealable opening will also prevent accidental spillage of the popcorn. A fill line is located on the interior of the container in order to allow the user to know how much popcorn to put into the container such that it can still be easily closed.

Abstract: A bag for installation on a mobile cleaning cart features an open top end at which the bag is arranged for hanging support on the mobile cleaning cart and an openable and closable bottom end facilitating removal of contents from the bag through said bottom end with the top end hanging from the cart. Installed on a cart of known types commonly used in custodial, janitorial, maid or housecleaning services, the bag can be emptied through the selectively openable bottom end of the bag to avoid lifting of the bags contents through the open top end.

Abstract: A peelable pouch 50 for containing a single dosage product P having a top layer 100 joined to a bottom layer 200 by at least one seal 500 thereby creating a primary compartment 300. The primary compartment 300 houses the product P, sealed from the exterior environment. The peelable pouch 50 includes a tear promoting surface condition 600 on the top layer 100 and the bottom layer 200 intersected by a fold-over line 700. When the pouch 50 is folded about the fold-over line 700 the tear promoting surface condition 600 permits a user to easily tear off a portion of the pouch 50 and expose a portion of the primary compartment 300 allowing the product P to be removed from the pouch 50. Alternative embodiments incorporate a product retention edge 350 that requires supplemental separation of the top 100 and bottom 200 layers to gain access to the product P, as well as a secondary compartment 400 formed between the top 100 and bottom 200 layers.

Abstract: A storage bag comprises: first and second panels joined or connected on three sides and having a mouth on a fourth side; a pair of zipper strips respectively joined to the first and second panels in the region of the mouth, each zipper strip comprising respective upper and lower zipper profiles; resealable means joined to at least one of the zipper strips in a region between the upper and lower zipper profiles; and a slider that pushes the respective pairs of zipper profiles together and reseals the resealable means as the slider travels along the mouth of the bag. In one embodiment, the resealable means comprise a layer of adhesive material that adheres to the base web of the opposing zipper strip as the moving slider presses the adhesive material and base web together. In another embodiment, the resealable means comprise first and second layers of cohesive material that cohere to each other as the moving slider presses the layers of cohesive material together.

Abstract: An airtight storage bag is defined by at least one plastic film formed into a pouch. The pouch has a containment region with an openable mouth. There are a first resealable zone extending across the openable mouth to allow closure of the month, and a second resealable zone also extending across the mouth and located on the containment region side of the first resealable zone to allow airtight closure of the containment region. A vent is located between the first and second resealable zones to allow displacement of fluid from the containment region via the vent. The second resealable zone when sealed seals the containment region from the exterior of the bag.

Abstract: In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for waste disposal. A disposal bag may include a bag configured to receive waste, a frame associated with the bag at an opening. The frame may include one or more pair of hinge points configured to open and close the bag when a force is applied on the frame, and a pair of tabs associated with one of the one or more pair of hinge points, wherein the pair of tabs enable stacking of the disposal bag with a plurality of substantially similar disposal bags. In some embodiments of the frame, the frame is conically shaped and may include a sealing facility disposed on at least one part of the frame.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved disposable emesis containment system comprising an expandable bag constituted of a non-porous, flexible polymeric material, such bag having a metal or plastic frame e.g., in the shape of a spring that permits expansion of the bag into a desired shape e.g. spherical, the bag having a large opening or aperture at the top upon expansion which opening is sealable by use of an associated draw- or pull-string and which expandable bag is stored in an easily opened, preferably resealable storage container in unexpanded form prior to usage. This system provides an improved means of storing and disposal of emesis and other noxious biological materials.

Abstract: A reclosable package comprises a slider-operated zipper wherein at least one of the zipper parts has a hinged flap to which a marginal portion of a panel of packaging film is joined. The hinged flap swings away from the rest of the zipper part in response to a pulling force tending to pull that zipper part away from the other zipper part. The flap is disposed between a base strip of the zipper part that it forms a part of and a sidewall of the slider. The slider is retained on the zipper by retaining ledges projecting from a distal end of a plow that pries open the zipper during slider travel in an opening direction.

Abstract: Fresh produce and cut flower packages are prepared from one or more polymer layers. At least one layer is a polylactic acid (PLA) film layer. Layers that can be adhered to the PLA film layer include polyolefin and polyester films. The packages have optimized moisture vapour transmission rates (MVTR) and oxygen transmission rates (OTR) to produce a shelf-life extended package that reduces growth of bacteria and prevents haze or fog on the inside of the package.

Opposed pair of peel flaps, upper flap 16U and lower flap 16L, are formed by the opposed laminae of the outer seal along the edge breach as the bubble breaches. These small initial flaps are grasped by the user and manually peeled apart to initiate opening the band seal.

Abstract: Breachable product container 10 is formed by first lamina 10B and opposed second lamina 10C selectively pressed together. Perimeter seal 10S extends around the perimeter of the container. The breaching edge provides an edge breach by separating the opposed laminae along the breaching edge in response to substantial pressure applied to the breaching bubble during a brief breaching period.

Abstract: A fastener tape for use in the manufacture of reclosable plastic bags is provided. The fastener tape comprises an intermediate layer and a reclosable fastener profile thereon. The intermediate layer includes three layers of co-extruded plastic, with not more than 4% EVA as the outer two layers and HDPE as the middle layer. The intermediate layer is folded so as to bring portions of the intermediate layer into an opposing relationship. These opposing portions are then sealed together by a pair of seal bars. By carefully controlling the sealing temperature, a consistent peel seal is created between the opposing portions of the intermediate layer without the need for an adhesive.
