Two Opposed Bearing Surface Segments Patents (Class 384/266)
  • Patent number: 9827029
Abstract: A dynamic bone fixation element can include a sleeve elongate along a first direction and a fixation member. The sleeve can define a channel that extends from a proximal end through to a distal end along the first direction. The channel has a first cross-sectional dimension. The fixation member has a head, a shaft extending from the head and elongate along a second direction, and an abutment member extending from the shaft and integral with the shaft, wherein the shaft extends through the channel such that the sleeve is captured between the abutment member and the head. At least a portion of the shaft that is within the channel has a second cross-sectional dimension that is less than the first cross-sectional dimension such that the fixation member is moveable with respect to the sleeve along a direction that has a directional component transverse to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 8640671
Abstract: A bearing device includes a plurality of pairs of bearing parts for supporting shafts to each of which a plurality valves are attached and connecting parts for connecting the bearing parts. Each connecting part is elastically deformable and includes a bent portion in a bent shape to absorb the force that will act in at least one of an axial direction and a radial direction of the shafts when the shafts are rotated.

  • Patent number: 6030126
Abstract: The Two Axis Track Roller is in the form of two sealed bearings mounted to a single stud which allows the device to carry loads in two dimensional axis. In this way the device can carry a load along a track as well as guide along a track wall. When used in pairs the device can be "pre-loaded" which allows for precise guiding of linear motion. The conventional bearing used provide internal balls and rollers which ride on their internal precision ground and hardened surfaces. The external bearing surfaces thus can ride on non hardened track surfaces whose precision is dictated only by the application requirements. Since the bearings are sealed the bearing balls and rollers do not come in contact with environmental contaminants so bearing life is increased.

  • Patent number: 5885007
Abstract: Angularly spaced sector portions of a bushing element attached by its annr flange to a housing, adjustably positions angularly spaced bearing elements and wedge-shaped spacers for bearing support of a shaft with desired radial and axial clearances maintained by fasteners extending into the housing parallel to the shaft axis from the flanges of the bushing and the bearing elements to accommodate radial adjustment, while fastener studs extending perpendicular to the shaft axis through enlarged holes in all of the elements of the bearing assembly accommodate axial adjustment before attachment of the bearing elements in their adjusted positions to the housing is finalized.

  • Patent number: 5567138
Abstract: A method for limiting eccentric deviations of a rotating polished rod which extends through a stuffing box in a downhole rotary pumping application. The method includes the step of positioning below the stuffing box at least two centralizing members having arcuate contact surfaces that engage the rotating polished rod to dampen eccentric deviations. According to another aspect of the present invention there is provided an apparatus having a housing with a central polished rod receiving passage. At least two centralizing members extend radially inwardly into the central polished rod receiving passage to engage a rotating polished rod positioned in the central polished rod receiving passage.

  • Patent number: 5145263
Abstract: A bearing system rotatably supporting a shaft or any other similar machine element is unrotatably fitted in a bearing inserting aperture. The bearing system comprises a fixed bushing which is located more adjacently than the shaft to a portion thereof on which external force acts, and is fixed within the bearing inserting aperture. A movable bushing cooperates with the fixed bushing to hold the shaft, and is allowed to advance or retreat relative to the fixed bushing. Springs allow the movable bushing to approach the fixed bushing. If the outer circumferential surface of the shaft and the inner peripheral surface of the fixed bushing are worn out or abraded, the movable bushing is moved in proportion to the wear or abrasion amounts of the shaft and the fixed bushing in the direction of the fixed bushing by using the springs.

  • Patent number: 4571096
Abstract: A bearing assembly for roll journals comprising a bearing box having one piece of a semi-cylindrical sleeve and fixed relative to a nip line of a roll. A bearing box having the other piece of the bearing sleeve is movable toward a roll journal resting on the first piece to provide a minimum clearance between the roll journal and the bearing sleeve.
