Abstract: In a strain wave gearing device, fine first and second lubricant-holding grooves for holding lubricant are formed at fine pitches in an outer-race external peripheral surface of a wave generator bearing and an outer-race-contacting internal peripheral surface portion of an externally toothed gear in contact therewith. Fine lubricant-guiding grooves for guiding the lubricant to the outer-race-contacting internal peripheral surface portion are formed at fine pitches in a second internal peripheral surface portion, which adjoins the outer-race-contacting internal peripheral surface portion, of an internal peripheral surface of the externally toothed gear. This configuration improves the contact state between the outer-race-contacting internal peripheral surface portion of the externally toothed gear and the outer-race external peripheral surface, thus suppressing fretting wear occurring in these surfaces.

The plurality of plates may be adapted to bend inward so as to impart an hourglass configuration to the variable preload device when the variable preload device is at rest and to bend outward in proportion to increased rotational speed provided to the variable preload device. Furthermore, the axial distance between the annular end members may varies in proportion to the rotational speed provided to the variable preload device.

Abstract: A radial roller bearing, which is a single-grooved ball bearing. The bearing bodies are spherical disks with two symmetrical, parallel lateral surfaces from a spherical base shape. The bearing has a larger contact surface of the spherical disk in relation to the bearing body tracks thereof, as well as, an increased number of bearing bodies. One part of the width of the disks, between the lateral surfaces thereof, is larger than the distance between the inner side of the external bearing ring and the external side of the inner bearing ring, but equal to or smaller than the width of the bearing body tracks. Also, the use of the disks in the bearing takes place according to an eccentric mounting method where the disks are arranged in a transversal manner in the bearing body tracks and are arranged on top of each other in relation to the lateral surfaces thereof.

Abstract: An automotive vehicle has a power operated lift-gate that is opened and closed by two drive units. The typical drive unit has a guide channel, an attachment assembly that is disposed in the guide channel, a flexible drive member that is attached to the attachment assembly and formed in a loop for moving the attachment assembly in the guide channel. The flexible drive member is trained solely around two pulleys at the respective opposite ends of the guide channel to form the flexible drive member in a narrow loop. One of the pulleys is an idler pulley that is part of an adjustable pulley assembly and the other pulley is driven by a power unit that is attached to the guide channel. The adjustable pulley assembly adjusts the distance between the pulleys to take up slack in the flexible drive member.

Abstract: The aim of the invention is to obtain a cost-effective solution for providing a microsystem with bearings, which have sufficiently high precision and long-term stress resistance. The invention proposes a method for manufacturing, adapting or adjusting a bearing portion in a fluidal microcomponent (M) comprising a stator (30) and a rotor (40,2). Said rotor is rotatably supported on the at least one bearing portion (L10,L11) relative to said stator. Said rotor (40,2) is rotatably supported by a sleeve (10, 11) inserted into said stator (30), for forming said bearing portion, the at least one sleeve being inserted in said stator as a bearing sleeve and comprising an inner surface and an outer surface (10i, 10a; 11i, 11a). Before being inserted in said stator, said bearing sleeve (10, 11) is a separate bearing component comprising an inner surface (10i, 11i) as an inner bearing surface, which is mechanically micro-finished before being inserted into said stator (30).

With the ultrathin cross-roller bearing constructed as stated earlier, the separator lying between the adjoining rollers is in the form of right cylinder better for keeping constantly the roller in proper posture, getting the bearing itself downsized and lightweight as small as possible, and further making sure of positive lubrication. The outer and inner rings are each made into one-piece construction. The inner ring has an inside diameter in a range of from 20 mm to 50 mm. The roller used in the ultrathin cross-roller bearing has a diameter of 2 mm to render a transverse section given by a product of a radial height and a bearing width in transverse section small or ultrathin in thickness.

Rollers are located between the outer and inner races to enable the two races to rotate relative to one another. The surfaces of the inner race are lapped and subsequently treated using a cold plastic deformation process. This process is a dry mechanical process that involves applying a high energy flow of abrasive material in a carrier medium to the metal surfaces of the inner race. The present invention is not limited to treatment of the surfaces of the inner race, however, as the surfaces of the outer race as well as the surfaces of the rollers may be similarly treated.
