  • Patent number: 11248589
Abstract: A main rotor arrangement for a wind turbine, comprising a shaft which is rotatable within a shaft housing about a rotational axis, a bearing including an inner ring, an outer ring, and a plurality of rolling elements, wherein the bearing is located between the shaft and the housing thereby to enable the shaft to rotate within the shaft housing. The shaft housing includes a first lubrication passage for carrying lubricating fluid through the shaft housing, wherein the outer ring of the bearing includes a second lubricating passage to direct lubricating fluid from the first lubricating passage in the direction of the plurality of rolling elements. The invention provides a space efficient arrangement which avoids the need to fluid delivery nozzles arranged externally to the bearing to direct fluid at the rolling elements, as in the prior art. The arrangement also means that lubrication fluid is delivered right to where it is needed in a more efficient way than in the prior art.

  • Patent number: 9476457
Abstract: A seal ring including filters is mounted to a rolling bearing. The bearing includes rolling elements disposed between an outer race and an inner race. The seal ring is made of a resin or a metal and covers an end opening of the bearing space defined between the outer race and the inner race. The filters are detachably fitted in oil flow holes formed in the seal ring. The filters catch foreign matter contained in lubricating oil. The seal ring is engaged by one of the outer race and the inner race. An annular member made of a material softer than the seal ring is fixed to the seal ring. The annular member serves as a lip facing the other of the inner and outer races with a gap left therebetween, or in abutment with the other of the inner and outer races.

Abstract: A joint bearing 8 is provided between two structural elements of which one is connected with the connecting joint 17 and the other with a hinge pin. In the connecting joint 17, there is provided a pressed-in outer ring 28, a cage 30 located between the hinge pin and the outer ring. The cage 30 is provided with cylindrical roller bodies 31, as well as stops 34, for the axial guiding of the cage. The outer ring 28 is so thin-walled that after pressing into place its inner circumference, must be reworked. The outer ring 28 only extends over the length of the roller body 31. The stops 34 are separated from the outer ring 28 and are attached to the connecting joint 17. Further, the hinge pin 20 may be constructed as a tube 19. The appropriate structural element (lever 9) contacts the outside of tube 19. By means of an outwardly protruding screw or other fastener 21 from the inner space of the tube, this structural element is attached onto the tube wall.

Abstract: In an elastic frictional member including: a core ring fitted on a sleeve fixedly mounted on a shaft; and an elastic element engaged with the outer cylindrical surface of the core ring, a plurality of small protrusions are extended from the outer surface of a lip forming a part of the elastic element; that is, from a slide surface of the elastic element which is in slide contact with the inner cylindrical surface of a shaft hole formed in the gear. The small protrusions of the lip are in point contact with the inner cylindrical surface of the shaft hole of the gear; that is, the outer surface of the lip from which the small protrusions are extended is spaced from the inner cylindrical surface of the shaft hole of the gear, thus allowing the formation of a lubricant film in the space. The lubricant film thus formed maintains the friction coefficient substantially constant.

Abstract: A sealing arrangement including a sealing ring with a support ring extending substantially in a radial direction. The support ring is joined in the radial direction to a first sealing element that lies in contact with and is nonrotatable with respect to a first machine element to form a static seal. The support ring is also joined in the radial direction to a second sealing element that is placed against a second machine element rotatably with respect to the second machine element to create a dynamic seal. The first and second sealing elements are each made of an elastomeric material, and at least one multipole ring that can move past a rotational speed sensor. The multipole ring is made of a pasty, hardenable, and magnetizable material that is arranged as a intermediate layer of film-like thinness on the side of the support ring facing the rotational speed sensor.
