  • Patent number: 11195519
Abstract: Various arrangements for triggering transitions within a slide-based presentation are presented. An audio-based trigger system may receive a plurality of trigger words. A database may be created that maps trigger words to slide transitions. A voice-based request may be received to initiate audio control of the slide-based presentation being output by the presentation system. An audio stream may be monitored for trigger words. Based on accessing a database, a slide transition to be performed may be identified based on a recognized trigger word. A slide transition request may be transmitted to a presentation system that indicates a slide to which a transition should occur. The presentation system may then transition to the slide based on the received slide transition request.

At least one of the determined second multi-media content items are selected based on a user profile, metadata of the first and second multi-media content items and/or a distribution scheme for distributing the second multi-media content items into the playlist of the first multi-media content items.

  • Patent number: 8693840
Abstract: The disclosure discloses a method and a terminal for video processing. The method includes: when a real-time video image receiving terminal plays a real-time image picture, a shortcut for image pre-capture is set; if a user is interested in the picture, the user can click the shortcut for image pre-capture; when receiving an image pre-capture instruction, the terminal suspends the playing of the real-time picture but plays the pictures of a period before the moment of playing the real-time picture, then the user can perform image capture on the pictures played back. With the disclosure, when a user captures an image, the video pictures being played in the terminal are pre-stored, and the video pictures of a period before current time point are presented to the user by slow playback, thus the user can capture the image in easiness, so as not to miss the image that the user wants to capture due to a slow response.

Abstract: AVClip recorded in BD-ROM is obtained by multiplexing a graphics stream and a video stream. The graphics stream is a PES packet sequence that includes 1) PES packets storing graphics data (ODS) and 2) PES packets storing control information (PCS). In each ODS, values of DTS and PTS indicate a timing of decoding start for corresponding graphics data, and a timing of decoding end for corresponding graphics data, respectively. In each PCS, a value of PTS indicates a display timing of corresponding decoded graphics data combined with the video stream.

  • Patent number: 8639086
Abstract: According to example configurations as described herein, a media manager supports functions such as in-line display of video frame information for application of editing commands. Each of multiple frames in the in-line display can be derived from a respective bitmap. The bitmaps associated with the in-line display can be generated and cached during an editing session for easy access. After completion of the editing session and creation of a playback file specifying a media playback experience, a media manager deletes the cached bitmaps. Upon rendering of a video experience as specified by the playback file at a later time, a respective media player converts a format of video data as specified by the playback file into bitmap information again. Playback can include combining multiple frames of static images (as defined by the bitmaps) at different layers to produce a unique viewing experience.

  • Patent number: 8634695
Abstract: In a low-power device a runtime hands video capture and other markup language video objects to a video service, which renders them onto a shared surface. An application-specific compositor manipulates the shared surface, e.g., by texture wrapping or animation. A system compositor composites the manipulated shared surface with other data, such as rendered frames from other application-specific compositors and/or computer generated text. The device then displays the attendant rendered, manipulated, and composited video frames. In some cases, only a single copy of the shared surface is utilized. When the video object's shape, alignment, and opacity satisfy predetermined criteria, the video service renders the video object onto the shared surface using a hardware scaler; otherwise, rendering is done without using the hardware scaler.

In the normal mode, a video signal played back by the recorder player is supplied to a display where the video signal is displayed as an image. In the edit mode, switching between a first video signal supplied from the video-signal converter and a second video signal resulting from addition of a delay corresponding to a time necessary for the signal processing in the video-signal converter to a video signal played back by the recorder player is performed to display the resulting video signal in the display.
