Abstract: A non-invasive thermal dispersion flow meter with chronometric monitor for fluid leak detection includes a heater, an ambient temperature sensor and a flow rate sensor which are configured to sense the temperature of a fluid in a conduit, and then monitor the flow of that fluid through the conduit. The fluid flow sensor is incorporated into a Wheatstone bridge circuit which is used to provide increased sensitivity to the outputs of the sensors. Based upon the ambient temperature sensor readings, the flow rate sensor and heater may be adjusted to optimize the operation of the system to detect leaks. An alternative embodiment utilizes a single sensor and separate heater which work together to determine heat propagation times which in turn is used to calculate flow rate.

Abstract: A lavatory unit for a vehicle is provided for washing feet. A toilet seat is put in the use position, a lid is put in the open position, the lid and a water drainage plate coupled by an engage/disengage mechanism are disengaged, and the water drainage plate is rotated to the placed position. With pressure on the water drainage plate, water is discharged from a faucet for a predetermined time by a water control unit, and the foot is washed on the water drainage plate. The water is drained to the inside of a toilet body through a discharge port. Once the foot is washed, the water on the upper surface of the water drainage plate is wiped, the water drainage plate is rotated from the placed position to the open position of the lid, or the lid is rotated to the closed position.

Abstract: Disclosed is a sensor system for retrofitting a water supply of an airplane to detect leakage. The system includes a housing having a first band with an inner diameter sized to receive a necked portion of a valve for consumer access to the water supply. The system includes a first transducer disposed on the first band operable to provide a position measurement corresponding to a relative position between a head of the valve and the necked portion. The system includes a second transducer operable to provide a pressure measurement corresponding to a pressure of a compressed gas in a water tank of the water supply. The system includes a controller having input channels operable to receive the position measurement and the pressure measurement. The controller is operable to indicate a leak condition.

Abstract: A wheeled cart is configured to removably carry a patient's personal wash basin. The cart includes a lid that covers the personal wash basin when the cart is moved from a bathroom to the patient so that liquid in the wash basin cannot splash out onto the floor if the cart strikes an obstruction. A flexible tube is provided for filling the basin from a sink. A drain pipe is provided to empty the wash basin without the need to lift the wash basin. A disposable thin personal wash basin having a funnel-shaped outlet may be used with the cart to minimize potential contamination.

Abstract: Polymeric plumbing fixtures such as sinks, lavatories and tubs are disclosed that comprise a thermoformed or molded interior shell having a top side with a relatively smooth, polymeric surface; a polymeric reinforcing layer bonded to the underside of the shell; and a thermoformed or polymeric cap nestably engageable with the underside of the reinforced shell. The cap cooperates with the shell to encapsulate the reinforcing layer and the reinforcing layer bonds the cap the shell to form a unitary structure. The polymeric cap thereby provides an attractive, finished surface on the underside of the resultant fixture. The structural configuration disclosed herein is particularly preferred for use in making kitchen sinks. A method for making the subject fixtures is also disclosed.

Abstract: A wash sink and drained area assembly and method of construction comprise a wash sink assembled in immediate and lateral proximity to an enclosable and drained floor area with racks provided for drying items and a retractable curtain across the front edge of the drained area, the assembly formed as a single unit suitable for installation in a residential utility room.

Abstract: A bathing device comprises an air inflatable bathtub and shampoo bowl of flexible material. When deflated, the bathing device lies flat for convenient storage and portability. When inflated, it expands to form a bathtub in which a person may sit, a sloped backrest against which the person may lean and a shampoo bowl behind the backrest for receiving water used to shampoo and person's hair. Drains are provided for draining water from the bathtub and shampoo bowl upon completion of bathing. A bathing device also comprises an air inflatable shampoo cap of flexible material, which when deflated folds flat. When inflated, the shampoo cap fits and seals with the head of a person to accommodate shampooing the person's hair while confining wash water to the cap. The shampoo cap may be used separately from or together with the shampoo bowl and bathtub, and if desired it may be an integral part of the same.

Abstract: A combination bed, toilet, and bath for handicapped person includes a tub with a built-in toilet. Inflatable air bags or cushion are used to raise and lower the patient between resting positions and toilet and bathing positions.

Abstract: A recreational basin having a tub with an inlet for fluids thereto. A pan is superposed in relation to the tub such that fluids can drain from the pan into the tub. A pump transfers fluid from the tub to the pan while a screening device prevents solids from moving from the pan to the tub. A regulator maintains a desired level of fluid in the tub.

The booth elements comprise a plurality of first wall elements and a plurality of second wall elements. Each first wall element is of an angled configuration having a single, substantially planar wall limb and a single, substantially planar ceiling limb arranged at right angles to the wall limb. Each second wall element has a wall surface and connects two first wall elements to one another. The wall limbs of the first wall elements and the wall surfaces of the second wall elements together form an all-around enclosure above the base tray.

The basin has interior water supply and overflow lines communicating with the interior peripheral surface and is provided with valves and push button controls to control the flow of water into and out of the basin.

Abstract: An infant bathing device having the undersurface thereof contoured for being removably received in resting position on a double sink, the device having a first trough portion configured and contoured for receiving the body of the infant, the first trough portion adjacent one end of the device having an upwardly extending back and head supporting portion extending above the highest point of the first trough portion. The device includes a second shallower trough portion adjacent the other end thereof for receiving bathing articles such as soap and the like. Intermediate the two trough portions is an overflow divider spaced below the upper periphery of the main body of the device, the divider having the undersurface thereof configured for resting on the divider of a double kitchen sink with the back and head supporting portion abutting one end of the sink. The back supporting portion may optionally be provided with handle means with the entire device being formed in an integral unit.
