Barrel-, Can- Or Round Box-carried Indicia Patents (Class 40/306)
  • Patent number: 4324058
Abstract: A label for undersized containers is disclosed, the label having a portion to contact the circumference of the container and portions to overlap and engage themselves. The overlap portion may be releasably attached to that portion of the label which has previously been attached to the container. • Patent number: 4323608
Abstract: A form of adhesive label is disclosed which enables instructions, e.g. for the use of the contents of a container to which the label is to be attached, to be detachably secured, with the label, to the container. The label comprises a backing sheet with adhesive on one face protected by a siliconized paper release sheet, and an "instruction" strip glued to its other face. The strip has a first band of adhesive along one transverse edge of its rearward face, a tear line next to the band of adhesive, and a transverse fold line spaced from the tear line and about which the remainder of the strip is folded to lie between the front portion of the strip and the sheet. Adjacent the fold line is a second band of adhesive which with the first band secures the strip to the backing sheet. The remainder of the strip is folded concertina-fashion or otherwise about fold lines so as to lie entirely between the two bands of adhesive. The tear line and a second tear line enable the strip to be detached for study.

  • Patent number: 4318235
Abstract: A sheet-like label having a pattern of tear lines which define a panel and an elongated strip which is contiguous with a first edge of the label. One end of the strip can be manually engaged and the strip can then be pulled away from the remainder of the label to free the first edge of the panel. The panel can then be manually engaged at its first edge and the panel can thus be readily separated from the remainder of the label. The remainder of the label completely surrounds the panel and the strip so that after removal of the panel and the strip the edges of the label will remain continuous. The labelled article includes a label mounted to the body of the article so that the label closely overlies a surface of the body.

  • Patent number: 4169326
Abstract: A drum is provided with an identification tag secured to the top chime construction. A wire loop having the tag at its free end is in frictional engagement at its other end between the top chime strip and the underlying associated material of the drum wall. This arrangement is accomplished by properly twisting the wire loop, placing it over the top of the drum wall so that it projects downwardly on both the interior and exterior walls. The top chime is placed on the top of the drum wall with the wire loop interposed therebetween. The beading operation is then completed following which the identification tag is secured to the top chime construction of the drum.

  • Patent number: 4128954
Abstract: A printed product label is composed of at least two sections, at least one of which is provided with the label indicia pertinent to the product. One of the label sections is provided with an adhesive of one given type capable of affixing such label section permanently to the product. A second section is separably connected to the first section and is also provided with said given type of adhesive, but such adhesive thereon is employed to removably secure the second section to the product. The second section is additionally provided with a second adhesive of the pressure sensitive type that is masked to render it inoperative while the second label section is secured to the product, but which can readily be made operative when the second section is separated from the product and the first label section to adhere the separated second section to a backing member.
