Abstract: A device for inserting a typed or printed label into a label holder on the upper edge of a file folder including two, thin, flat, elongated, juxtaposed clamping blades and a handle on one end. The blades possess some spring action to normally urge them together and are of unequal lengths to facilitate their insertion into the label holder. The label extends slightly beyond the outer ends of the blades to permit grasping the label and holding it in position during withdrawal of the device.

Abstract: An index tab is disclosed which attaches over a corner of a sheet or several sheets of paper. The tab includes a tubular body which has a paper enclosing portion receptive to a triangular corner portion of the sheets of paper and a projecting portion which projects from an edge of the sheets of paper. The index tab is attached to the papers by means of a single staple which penetrates both the paper enclosing portion of the body and the corner of the sheets of paper so that the same staple which holds the paper together, also attaches the index tab thereto.

Abstract: A display hanger for articles is formed from a single blank of relatively stiff material such as paperboard and is printed on one side with advertising and identification graphics including incremental price information. The single blank is cut and scored to form a main body panel, a pair of garment supporting side flaps and a pair of interlocking side flaps which retain one or more of the garments on the display hanger. The upper portion of the main body panel is reinforced and includes a cutout for supporting the display hanger on a companion support member such as a pin type display panel. Meanwhile, the improvement comprises an extension flap foldably attached to the lower end of said main body panel wherein the incremental price information is printed on individual tab elements that are integral with but selectively removable from said extension flap. The extension flap is normally folded behind and secured to the rear of the main body panel with a single price tab folded into view.

Abstract: The invention has to do with filing material. A tab-strip has a tab-strip body and a label element on it with guides for receiving a label. The label is able to be moved out of a resting into a labeling position using a handle which can be worked through an opening in the guide from the outside. The label element is formed as a separate element, which is directly held temporarily in the tab-strip body.

Abstract: A perforated filing strip is provided and has a self-adhesive strip thereon for attachment to a document to be filed. The perforations in the filing strip receive locating pins or the like for filing. The perforations are on an outer part of the strip and the self-adhesive strip is on the inner part of the filing strip, the inner and outer parts being defined from each other by a fold line.

Abstract: A one-piece holder for a golf score card and pencil or the like, said device comprising a generally elongate planar member having two depending legs and a central deflectable but connected finger formed by a U-shaped cut, said finger being deflected slightly upward to receive said score card and including a distorted region accommodative of a pencil, said legs including means for attachment to a golf bag collar strap, means for avoiding damage to the bag and means for reliable anchoring of the member in one position.

Abstract: For use in a multi-page book, an index system comprising elongated flat transparent plastic index tabs each affixed by a strip of transparent adhesive tape. The tab overlies one edge of an associated page, projecting slightly outward therefrom so as to present an indicia bearing end and projecting a substantially greater distance inwardly thereof, terminating in an inner end. The transparent adhesive tape overlies the inner end, overlapping both the adjacent inner portion of the tab and the page face, providing a point of attachment substantially inward of the page edge. Removal of the tab for reuse is effected by a rotation of the tab about the adhesively secured inner edge, partially peeling the tape back so as to enable a complete exposure of the tab and a twisting removal thereof from the tape, the tape subsequently being reapplied to the page.

Abstract: A reference system index system for locating information compiled and arranged in alphabetical sequence such as dictionaries is disclosed. Key numbers are assigned to individual letters of the alphabet or to combinations of letters and appear on a guide page. Indicia are carried at a prominent location such as on the page edge of the dictionary so that a person can quickly locate the desired section by use of the key reference numerals.

Abstract: The business information is carried in a field having the area of a standard business card, e.g. 2 .times. 31/2 inches, on a larger card, e.g. 3 .times. 5 inches. Perforations or markings provided on the card predetermine where areas of the large card are to be severed from the remainder to size the resulting card for use with any of several card filing systems. By preference, a plurality of parallel ones of the perforations or markings and an adjacent edge are bordered with generally T-shaped slots so the resulting card may be filed on standard roll, wheel and arched tray-type index card holders of a plurality of different size formats.

Abstract: A system for identifying X-rays is provided wherein coded visual display means are affixed to X-ray films to enable a radiologist to identify at a glance the body part or body system radiographed and the particular visit among a series of visits at which the X-ray was taken. Written X-ray findings are affixed to the X-ray storage envelope and coded visual display means are also affixed to the findings to enable quick identification of the proper radiograph. The information code used can be either a color code or a symbolic code or a combination of both.

Abstract: A coding strip for attachment to a container which is routed to one of several destinations defined by a machine readable code thereon including a support member having a circular cross-sectional rail upon which a slide member is mounted for longitudinal movement along the rail. A spring is mounted on the slide and engaging the support member for urging the slide into a locking position in which ribs on the support member block longitudinal movement. The slide member can be moved by pivoting into a position in which the slide slips by the ribs.
