Abstract: A flexible display device includes a housing, a flexible screen component, and an alarm assembly. A gap is provided in the housing and in communication with an inner cavity of the housing. The flexible screen component has a stretching end arranged opposite to each other, and the stretching end of the flexible screen component extends out of the housing through the gap. The alarm assembly is accommodated in the housing, and the alarm assembly includes an alarm and a detector. The detector is electrically coupled to the alarm. The detector is configured to detect a stretched length of the flexible screen component, and the alarm is configured to be triggered to raise an alarm when the flexible screen component is stretched to a preset length.

Abstract: A flexible display device includes a housing, a reel, a flexible screen component, and an alarm assembly. The housing is provided with a gap in communication with an inner cavity of the housing. The reel is located in the inner cavity of the housing and rotatably coupled to the housing. The flexible screen component has a fixed end and a stretching end arranged opposite to each other, the fixed end is secured to the reel, and the stretching end extends out of the housing through the gap. The alarm assembly is accommodated in the housing, and the alarm assembly includes an alarm and a detector. The detector is electrically coupled to the alarm. The detector is configured to detect a stretched length of the flexible screen component, and the alarm is configured to be triggered to raise an alarm when the flexible screen component is stretched to a preset length.

Abstract: A device which can be fixed to the edge of a panel, for example a sound-absorbing panel formed by heat-bonded synthetic fibers, is disclosed. The device includes a body with a longitudinal through-hole and two walls which define a cavity for enclosing the edge of the panel. The through-hole communicates with the cavity. The through-hole is configured to guide a threaded element (screw or the like) towards the cavity so that the threaded element engages at least with the edge of the panel so that it expands towards the walls of the cavity and is firmly retained by them.

Abstract: Music is blanket transmitted (for example, via satellite downlink transmission) to each customer's user station where selected music files are recorded. Customers preselect from a list of available music in advance using an interactive screen selector, and pay only for music that they choose to playback for their enjoyment. An antipiracy WID tag” is woven into the recorded music so that any illegal copies therefrom may be traced to the purchase transaction. Music is transmitted on a fixed schedule or through an active scheduling process that monitors music requests from all or a subset of satellite receivers and adjust scheduling according to demand for various CD's. Receivers store selections that are likely to be preferred by a specific customer. In those instances where weather conditions, motion of atmospheric layers or dish obstructions result in data loss, the system downloads the next transmission of the requested CD and uses both transmissions to produce a “good copy”.

Abstract: A display board assembly includes a map rail and a supplemental display board mounted thereto. The map rail includes a top track defined by a top support rail and a top guard rail, and a bottom track defined by a bottom support rail and a bottom guard rail. The supplemental display board includes a wheeled mounting assembly on a rear surface thereof, the wheeled mounting assembly including: a top wheel forced to engage the top track and confined by the top guard rail, and a bottom wheel forced to engage the bottom track and confined by the bottom guard rail, wherein the supplemental display board is slidable on the top wheel and bottom wheel to different lateral positions on the map rail.

Abstract: A display assembly in the form of a sleeve envelops a central subpart, a loop that envelops the central subpart, and a pull tab panel part. An opening is provided on one side edge of the sleeve to allow the pull tab to be pulled out in a pull out direction. The act of pulling out the pull tab panel part causes the loop to be pulled on a side attached to the pull out tab part in the same direction so as to cause it to traverse around the central subpart. A cutout window on the front of the sleeve displays printed matter on the loop moving, with respect to the other side of the central subpart, in a direction opposite that of the pull out direction.

Abstract: A lighted sign for a passenger vehicle includes a decal affixed to an exterior of a window and a lamp housing affixed to an interior surface of the vehicle window immediately opposite the decal. The lamp housing includes an electronics module that illuminates the decal only when the vehicle is moving and when there is insufficient exterior light to clearly see the exterior decal. The decal and design are removable and replaceable.

Abstract: A status-indicating device configured to be mounted over a window in a door. The status-indicating device having a substantially rectangular frame and a first panel and a second panel slidably supported in the frame. The first panel has a first status indicia and the second panel has a second status indicia different than the first status indicia. The first panel and second panel are configured to move between a first position that does not completely obstruct the window and a second position that completely obstructs the window.

Abstract: A display system is disclosed having a casing, a drawer and a stopping mechanism. The drawer is inserted into the casing and a hidden section of the drawer is alternately hidden from view and then displayed when the system transitions between retracted and extended positions respectively. The drawer may optionally include an insert that is displayed when the display is in the extended position. In one aspect, the stopping mechanism may be a flexible membrane attached to the inside of the casing and the drawer back. Alternatively, the casing may include a crossbar section disposed within said drawer where fasteners within said drawer prevent drawer extension beyond the crossbar thereby providing the stopping mechanism. Functionally, the display system may serve as a greeting card where images on the casing and drawer are drawn apart on drawer extraction to reveal extended images on the hidden section and the insert.

Abstract: A vehicle identification system that provides means for verifying the identity and authenticity of pursuing law enforcement vehicles by means of reversed or “mirrored” character indicia being placed on a law enforcement vehicle's windshield denoting the vehicle's identification so a motorist may look in their rearview mirror, call a police station and give the law enforcement vehicle identification to an operator who gives instruction to the motorist.

Abstract: Three-dimensional lightweight foam greeting cards are described herein having a foam body with a perimeter wall that extends between two spaced apart parallel pieces of planar sheet material such as heavy gauge paper, cardboard, or other such material. The greeting cards have a partially hollowed foam body or one or more cavities in the foam body concealed in the front and back by the planar sheet material which may be pre-cut in the shape of the foam body are decorated consistent with the design of the foam body. The cavities in the foam body may contain various electronic components that enable the greeting card to produce sound, record and playback a personalized message, trigger light activation, trigger the movement of moveable parts, display digital video, photographs or slideshows, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: A marketing sign is constructed of a sheet material and includes at least one break-away section coupled to a main section by at least one score. The main section includes a free portion, a base portion and connecting portion. The free portion includes a price piece and a balloon piece coupled to the price piece at a fold. The base portion is configured to couple with a product display structure after the main section is detached from the break-away section at the at least one score. The connecting bend line couples the free portion to the base portion and has a first end located a space distance from a right side edge of the sheet material.

Abstract: A customizable display and method for selectively and securely displaying important information, such as a sign for use in healthcare environments. The display includes a cover and a frame assembly. The frame assembly includes a frame, which supports a plurality of tracks, and a plurality of slides positioned on the tracks. The slides receive interchangeable indicia plates, which bear the important information wherein the slides are positioned behind the cover to selectively display the interchangeable indicia plates. The frame defines a locking channel for receiving a locking system having at least one elongate locking member for cooperating with a slide coupling to secure the slides in the extended or concealed position. The slides are biased in the concealed and extended positions and the locking system is obscured by the cover to prevent unauthorized or accidental movement of the slides to alter the displayed information.

Abstract: The invention relates to a messaging sign apparatus with informative indicia moveable articles that externally display information regarding patient care. The messaging sign apparatus includes a frame, a movable article positionable within the frame, and fastening member that is engageable with the moveable article. The frame includes an article receiving section on an inner body thereof and an article receiving opening on an outer surface and leading into the article receiving section, with the moveable article positioned in the article receiving section and moveable through the article receiving opening. The fastening member is arranged on the frame and engageable with the moveable article to secure the moveable article within the frame into different displaying position.

Abstract: A tabbing apparatus is provided that includes a pocket and a tab element disposed within the pocket in a retracted position. The tab element includes an indexing segment configured for protruding from the pocket in an extended position as a tab and for being received within the pocket in the retracted position, an anchor portion attached to the pocket, and an intermediate portion connecting the anchor portion and indexing segment and configured for folding to allow the indexing segment to move between the retracted position and the extended position. The indexing segment is configured for displaying writing thereon for indexing a file.

Abstract: An optionally extending or retracting display panel assembly, comprising a horizontally elongated support bracket configured for support at an upper portion of a relatively large first container, or the like, primary magnetic apparatus carried to magnetically attract the bracket toward the container, for removable bracket attachment to the container, and the display panel assembly and associated connections configured for horizontal displacement guiding by the bracket during panel extension and retraction relative to the container, while the panel remains generally vertically proximate a vertical side of the container. A counter-weight system assists panel leveling as well as extension and retraction.

Abstract: A telescoping greeting card having a plurality of pockets and/or panels that are connected in sequence and configured to slidably telescope between a closed position wherein each of the pockets and/or panels are contained within a main panel and an open position wherein each of the pockets and/or panels are extended in a longitudinal array. The greeting card additionally contains a switch and a sound module with at least one pre-recorded audio file that may be played back upon removal of one of the panels or pockets of the greeting card, which triggers the switch.

Abstract: A flip book greeting card having an outside cover containing text and artwork and an inside panel containing a flip book. The flip book is made up of one piece of material that is folded accordion-style to create several smaller folds, each fold containing a series of still frame pictures or drawings, each successive fold containing the same picture or drawing with incremental movements. The flip book is connected to the greeting card in such away that when a user pulls the free edge of the flip book, the flip book is set in motion, creating the illusion of a picture in motion. The user may then push the free edge back to its original location, while the flip book is set in reverse motion, creating the illusion of rewinding the movement of the picture. The picture or drawing used in the flip book may be coordinated with the occasion, theme and/or décor of the greeting card.

Abstract: An emergency exit indicator includes a light source, a visual indicator and a power line communication unit, wherein the visual indicator is disposed within the illumination scope of the light source, and the power line communication unit is electrically connected to the light source. The emergency exit indicator is capable of altering the displayed escape information. The present invention further provides an emergency exit indicating system using the above-mentioned emergency exit indicator and can more precisely display the escape information.

Abstract: An aroma visual message carrier is shaped into a card device for carrying multisensory messages to deliver two interchangeable images with a scent releasing mechanism linked to the very act of image change by a recipient. In one embodiment, the gate of the present invention is formed from a plurality of removable panels which define an outer facial surface of the gate. At least one portal is provided in the gate for limited protrusion of a pet's face into the portal only to the extent of the nose and eyes of the pet. The portal is provided about its perimeter with an artistic which enhances the outer appearance of the gate itself, and when associated with a pet animal's partial exposure within the portal, provides a striking and enjoyable, sometimes comical, visual alteration of the facial surface of the gate. In various embodiments, the artistic associated with a given portal in the gate may be changed employing plural artistics which are arrayed on a moveable mount which positions selected artistics in register with selected ones of a plurality of portals defined in the gate.

Each panel has a carrier assembly mounted to an upper region thereof for cooperation with a respective front or rear track of the upper rail. The carrier assemblies have at least two rollers that are carried in the upper rail. The panels each move between an open position and a closed position. A closure formed as a pull box is associated each panel and includes a spool having a cable wrapped around it. The spool is rotatable to retract and extract the cable from about the spool. The closure includes a tension bias element operably connected to the spool to bias the spool to retract the cable.

Abstract: The display panel has an outer surface to which a sign may be attached and an inner surface having a fastener composed of resiliently deformable material. An end of the fastener is separated from the display panel by a slit which is adapted to receive an outer plate of a conventional door handle The outer plate is held in the slit by the resiliently deformable composition of the fastener. The plate may however be removed from the slit by the application of a force opposed to the bias of the resilient material in order to widen the slit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a nurse messaging system having a rotating cover, which allows the user to move informative indicia plates externally from the frame into a displayed position using a reversible locking system. The messaging sign having a base and a frame, the frame is layered to form slots on an outer surface of the sign and openings on an inner body of the frame. Plates are positioned in the openings and moveable through the slots. Each plate is automatically lockable into a displayed position using a locking member arranged on the frame, and a cover rotatably mounted to the base.

Abstract: An exemplary display device includes a support member, a pair of displays slidably attached to the support member, and positioning members disposed between the displays and the support member. The support member includes a straight slideway, and a curved slideway defined therein. The curved slideway includes a slanting portion, and a first straight portion and a second straight portion extending out from opposite ends of the slanting portion. The straight slideway is parallel to the first straight portion of the curved slideway and in line with the second straight portion of the curved slideway. The displays are slidably received in the straight slideway and the curved slideway respectively. The displays may be positioned to form a large screen, or slid to overlap leaving a single display visible.

Preferably, the promotional system comprises two cooperating components which are cooperatively associated to each other in sliding interengagement. Although two components are required for achieving the basic construction, alternate embodiments of the present invention may incorporate additional components for providing a further enhanced visual impact.

Abstract: A dosage reminder device is disclosed. The device is comprised of a front plate, a set of slides inserted into the front plate and a back plate connected to the front plate. Each slide indicates a first position for a dosage not taken, a second position to indicate a dosage taken, or to a third position to indicate no dosage. The rear of the back plate has a removable adhesive cover that once removed, facilitates adhering the dosage reminder device to a medicine vial.

Abstract: A serving dish for small children has a window through which exchangeable pictures can be viewed. The dish has an upper dish with a transparent window, a lower dish, and an exchangeable picture carrier situated in between. In order to permit easy cleaning of the dish and simple replacement of the pictures, the upper dish is fastened to the lower dish with at least one central fastening element bearing at least one rotatable picture carrier, such that different pictures are displayed in the window when the picture carrier is rotated.

A slideable sign frame assembly carrying a sign is slideably attached to a normally hidden sign frame assembly supporting apparatus. The sign frame assembly and the supporting apparatus both carry pairs of cooperating slots of predetermined dimensions and configuration that together with a plurality of bolts, one for each slot, provide for the sign frame assembly and the supporting apparatus to be physically connected to one another while at the same time permit movement of the sign assembly relative to the supporting apparatus in the vertical direction. The bolts in cooperation with associated slots permit the raising and lowering of the sign assembly for change-out of the sign from ground level. A sign change-out tool is used to raise and lower the sign assembly.

The drop portion includes at least one mounting feature, and the plate includes a ball mount aperture for attachment of a hitch ball. The customizing element includes at least one mating feature disposed on a mounting surface of the customizing element. The customizing element is removably attachable to the ball mount by engaging the at least one mating feature of the customizing element with the at least one mounting feature of the ball mount.

In the preferred embodiment, each window incorporates a transparent panel for overlying the visual image contained in the window, as well as preventing the user from obtaining access to the visual information contained therein. By constructing each of the plurality of longitudinally movable arm members/sliders in an overlying manner, a unique construction is realized which enables the movement of one arm member/slider to effectuate a change in the visual display of a window element which is not directly adjacent the arm member or slider. In this way, a unique, surprising and interest generating result is attained.

Abstract: In one embodiment, there is shown a system and method of allowing a user to gain access to information pertaining to certain equipment by pulling a label out of an opening in a surface of the equipment, viewing information on the label; and pushing the label back into the opening. In a further embodiment, the label is captive to the equipment independent from a bezel surrounding the equipment. In a still further embodiment of the invention, the label has on it pre-established information pertaining to the equipment, as well as user added information.

Abstract: An exemplary display device includes a support member, a pair of displays slidably attached to the support member, and positioning members disposed between the displays and the support member. The support member includes a straight slideway, and a curved slideway defined therein. The curved slideway includes a slanting portion, and a first straight portion and a second straight portion extending out from opposite ends of the slanting portion. The straight slideway is parallel to the first straight portion of the curved slideway and in line with the second straight portion of the curved slideway. The displays are slidably received in the straight slideway and the curved slideway respectively. The displays may be positioned to form a large screen, or slid to overlap leaving a single display visible.

In one embodiment, two sheath members move relative to a slide member while in another, two slide members move relative to a sheath member. The guide-groove engaging portion moves in the parallel groove by the movement of the slider and a pressing force of the pressing lever.

Abstract: A display arrangement 10 made of card with a pair of windows 18. A movable carrying member 30 is provided bearing two images 30 selectively viewable through the respective windows 18. The arrangement 10 is configured such that a one of the images 38 is viewable through a respective window 18 when the carrying member 30 is moved in a first direction, and the other image 30 is viewable through the other window 18 when the carrying member is moved back in the opposite direction.

Abstract: Portable handheld sign devices and methods of use that allow a frame holder of store plural indicia covered sign boards therein, and include front facing and rear facing signboards. U-shaped frames with indicia covered signboards can be slid down to extend beneath the frame holder, and U-shaped frames with indicia covered signboards can be positioned in side channel slots to hold and support sign boards above the frame holder. The stored u-shaped frames and the front and rear signs on the frame holder also have hingedly attached signs thereon that can move from sandwiched overlapping positions to be swung out exposing indicia on the signs. The frame holder can go from showing one side board up to nine exposed signboards. The frame holder can be supported and held in one hand by a single pole handle, or held up by side lip edges.

Abstract: A sign for workplaces and a method for its use. The preferred embodiment comprises a rectangular board retained by extendable brackets on the wall of a cubicle or the door of an office. Alternatively, the board may be retained on a wall, door or other surface by strips of hook and loop fasteners, glue, nails, screws, or any other suitable means. The board preferably has three sections or windows. The top and middle sections have front slots for retaining a choice of several rectangular message cards that can be slid in or out of the slots. The bottom section is an erasable white board on which messages can be written. Unused message cards may be stored in rear slots in each section, where they can be identified by their tabs that extend beyond a side of the board. Indicia may be included on the board such as trademarks or names.
