The apparatus comprises a display and a plate comprising a controller, a sensor and a communicator configured to communicate with an external server, wherein the controller is configured to control the apparatus such that sensor data from the sensor are sent to the external server and information received from the external server is shown on the display. A casing comprising a front wall includes the display, a back wall configured to be attached to the vehicle, and a frame, wherein the plate is arranged within the casing, wherein the frame comprises profile elements forming sidewalls of the casing and corner elements and wherein a respective corner element is detachably connected to two respective profile elements. This allows for a high adaptability of the apparatus.

Abstract: A system for outputting motor vehicle data is provided. The system includes: a dynamically variable display (100) on which a designated set of motor vehicle data (110, 120, 130) is selectively output; and a controller (200) operatively connected to the display (100), the controller (200) regulating the display (100) and designating the set of motor vehicle data (110, 120, 130) to be output on said display (100). Suitably, the display (100) is arranged to be secured facing a window (12) of a motor vehicle (10) such that the designated set of motor vehicle data (110, 120, 130) is output through the window (12).

Abstract: An on-board signage system includes one or more vehicles, a display device installed in each of the vehicles, and a signage controller, in which the signage controller is configured to function as a post collecting unit that collects a post content item uploaded to an SNS site, a post analyzing unit which extracts a location relating to the post content item as a relevant location, a post database that stores post-related information obtained from the post content item in association with the relevant location, and a selector that selects at least one of a travel route of the vehicle and an image to be assigned to the vehicle, based on information stored in the post database, and transmits the selected travel route or image to the vehicle.

Abstract: A device for securing a display to a glass door utilizes attachment clips which attach to the sides of the door. The attachment clips each have a first side wall, a second wall and an end wall which extends between the first side wall and the second side wall. An arm is attached to the first side wall. The arm is attached to a tension member which is configured, upon installation, to retain the display against the door, where the tension member applies a load which causes the first side wall to engage a first surface of the door and the second side wall to engage a second side of the door, thereby urging the end wall against a side of the door.

Abstract: A vehicle dashboard assembly includes a dashboard panel, a display support, a display and a display cover. The dashboard panel has a display receiving space. The display support is coupled to the dashboard panel. The display is removably and reinstallably attached to the display support. The display cover is movably coupled relative to the dashboard panel between a closed position and an open position. The display cover includes a first cover portion for covering a front side of the display and a second cover portion for covering one edge of the display. The first cover portion surrounds a screen of the display while in the closed position to define a display opening for viewing the screen. The first and second cover portions are movable as a unit between the closed and open positions.

Abstract: A system for displaying contextually-sensitive braking information on a surface of a vehicle is presented. The system may include a transceiver, one or more memories, an electronic display disposed on the surface, and one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to detect a braking event of the vehicle, wherein the braking event has an associated braking force. The one or more processors may compare the braking force to a predetermined threshold braking force to determine whether the braking force exceeds the threshold braking force. The one or more processors may further cause the electronic display to display a braking indication having an intensity that is proportional to the braking force, wherein the braking indication may include a braking rationale corresponding to the braking event in response to determining that the braking force exceeds the threshold braking force.

Abstract: A device for securing a display to a door utilizes attachment clips which attach to the door. The attachment clips each have a first side wall, a second wall and an end wall which extends between the first side wall and the second side wall. An arm is attached to the first side wall. The arm is attached to a display retaining assembly which is configured, upon installation, to retain the display against the door, where the display retaining assembly applies a load which causes the first side wall to engage a first surface of the door and the second side wall to engage a second side of the door, thereby urging the end wall against a side of the door.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method including a firearm detection device that operates silently to identify a firearm or bullet stored in the barrel of the firearm. Utilizing a camera as well as one or more characteristics of the individual carrying the firearm whereby once scanned, the system may send an alert to the proper authorities, with the system utilizing exemption tags to properly identify authorities or other entities that are not threats as well as provide other utilities useful during an emergency situation.

Abstract: A vehicle banner assembly for displaying a banner on a vehicle includes a panel is comprised of a magnetic material to magnetically engage a ferromagnetic door of a vehicle. A pair of engagements is each coupled to the panel. Each of the engagements engages an upper edge of the door of the vehicle to retain the panel at a selected location on the door. A banner is coupled to the panel to facilitate the banner to be displayed on the door of the vehicle.

Abstract: The present invention is for a tow hitch insert assembly that allows for natural dangling and swinging motion of an elongated member from a trailer hitch. The elongated member can be of a variety of shapes and in one version is a replica of testicles. The elongated member is coupled to an insert tube main body by a rod that extends through the tow hitch insert assembly. Surrounding the rod are springs on each side, sandwiching the elongated member, which allows for oscillation of the elongated member within the tow hitch insert assembly. In another version, the elongated member is secured via a slotted plate, and the elongated member has a spheroid top wider than the slot of the slotted plate, which permits the elongated member to slide and rotate within the tow hitch insert assembly.

In a first embodiment, the system includes opposing masts having upper and lower extending tabs adapted for attaching a banner between the masts, an annular flange disposed around the mast, and a lower mast end inserted into a bushing attached to a vehicle by U-shaped mounting straps. In a second embodiment, the system includes opposing masts having upper and lower extending tabs adapted for attaching a banner between the masts. The bottom end of each mast is attached to a platform having an elongate U-shaped pocket insert having planar walls extending from the platform opposite the mast. The pocket inserts are adapted for insertion into stake pockets common to trucks and trailers that haul oversize loads. A clevis pin may be inserted through opposing walls of the pocket insert below the stake pocket.

Abstract: A display method for a wheel rotation imaging device includes: acquiring operation information, the operation information comprising ambient light intensity, wheel speed, vehicle acceleration, current time, current location, and current power; identifying a situational mode of vehicle driving according to the operation information, the situational mode being in one-to-one correspondence with a power consumption mode; and selecting a power consumption mode of the wheel rotation imaging device according to the situational mode, so that the wheel rotation imaging device completes display according to the power consumption mode. The wheel rotation imaging device is mounted on a wheel and can display texts, images or videos as the wheel rotates.

The plurality of magnets allow the magnetic strut channel fitting to be magnetically adhered to a strut channel.

Abstract: A method for the interactive presentation of content on an exterior surface of a transportation vehicle, wherein the transportation vehicle has a capture device and a display device. The capture device detects when a person approaches the transportation vehicle; switches the display device from an inactive state to an active state when an approach is detected; recognizes gestures of the person; and alters the presented content of the display device based on the gestures of the person.

The controller is configured to control the advertisement display device to enter the first state during traveling in the driverless mode.

Abstract: Portable display systems, devices, and methods are disclosed. A portable display device can be attached to a moving object such as a vehicle and can include one or more digital displays for displaying images. A portable display device can communicate with external devices and display images based on the geographic location of the portable display device. The portable display device may also have several moving components for moving the digital displays between an upright position and a retracted position.

Abstract: Marking panels for the identification of field personnel can include (i) a first side, (ii) a second side transverse to the first side and intersecting the first side at a junction, (iii) a front surface at least partially defined by the first and second sides and which includes an insignia, (iv) a rear surface opposite the front surface and at least partially defined by the first and second sides and which includes an optical enhancer attachment site, and (v) a first multi-modal anchoring mechanism disposed proximate the junction of the first and second sides. The first multi-modal anchoring mechanism can include a pocket; a fixed loop, and a selectively attachable loop. The pocket can contain a magnet for selectively affixing the marking panel to a ferromagnetic object.

Abstract: A bracket for holding a license plate to a vehicle having an air grille with vertical posts comprises a license plate frame. Two leg member are each fixed with a lower edge of the frame and terminate with an elongated foot that has a distal end that engages one of the vertical posts. The leg members each include an elongated arm that has a proximal end rotatably fixed with the leg member and a distal end that has a lateral slot for receiving the vertical post therein. During installation, the foot and the arm of the leg members are inserted into the air intake grille to engage one of the vertical posts, and the arm thereafter is rotated until the lateral slot engages the vertical post to secure the bracket to the vehicle. Each leg member further includes a lock for securing the arm from relative rotational movement.

Abstract: A device for displaying a document comprises a front transparent planar sheet and a rear planar sheet, each sheet having three edges that are coterminous with and permanently affixed to a corresponding edge of the other sheet, thereby forming an envelope having three sealed edges and an open end; an adhesive strip affixed to either the front sheet or the rear sheet and positioned across the open end between the front and rear sheets to selectively seal the open end; and a protective strip removably affixed to the adhesive strip to prevent the open end from sealing when the protective strip is in place on the adhesive strip and to enable the open end to be sealed when the protective strip is removed from the adhesive strip. When the protective strip is removed from the adhesive strip and the open end is sealed, the device is waterproof.

The object engaging section has an engaging member with an outwardly projecting member that extends generally perpendicularly from a back panel, an engaging cap that engages the projecting member and a mounting strap that connects the cap to the projecting member. The cap tightly engages the projecting member to prevent inadvertent unlocking of the display clip. The base has a plurality of interconnected positioning apertures that receive the projecting member to allow the user to adjust the location of the projecting member for different sizes of objects and surfaces.

The sensor measures a selected target being in the vehicle environment. The sensor signally communicates target measurement. The instructions enable the controller to: receive the data transmission with digital image information; operate the sensor to make at least one target measurement of the selected target; receive the target measurement signal; determine the location of the selected target; determine the window to be closest to the selected target; and operate the external display to exhibit a representative image.

Abstract: Advertising is an important part of communication in a Society. People simply wish to inform others about the information they have and want to spread. At present many techniques are used for doing so. One of such methods is to place the information on the top of the cars or to attach to the cars, such as a bumper sticks. However, this method has a disadvantage, that the process of attachment to the top of the cars is difficult and needs hardware which are expensive, also there is another problem, when a flat sheet of information is attached to the sides of the holding means on the top of the car it would resist against the movement of the air and waste the energy of the moving car. The bumper sticks have their own problems, since they could not be removed or exchanged easily, for such reasons, alternative means would be beneficial.

Abstract: A temporary vehicle plate attachment system includes a first plate frame adapted for mounting to a vehicle license plate receiving area, the first plate frame having a plurality of opposed corners with a magnetic member positioned adjacent to each corner and a second plate frame having a plurality of opposed corners with a magnetic member positioned adjacent to each corner and arranged in substantially the same relative geometry as the magnetic members of the first plate frame. The second plate frame is attached to the first plate frame by aligning the magnetic members. A method of attaching a temporary plate includes fastening the first plate frame to a vehicle license plate receiving area, magnetically attaching the second plate frame to the first plate frame and positioning a temporary vehicle plate against an outer surface of the second plate frame such that the temporary vehicle plate is visible.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a customizable, portable billboard system. The portable billboard has a number of sidewalls enabling advertisement graphic placement. These sidewalls sit upon a support base that has structures, preferably wheels, which help to facilitate movement of the billboard. The advertisement graphical overlay is attached to the sidewalls via framing that surrounds the perimeter of each of the sidewalls. The entire system is self-contained and has a generator to power any lights or speakers or the like that may be required. The system has a hitch attachment so that it may be easily maneuvered or transported to a particular location by motor vehicle.

Abstract: In an example, a quick release license plate holder with a low and/or compact profile is provided. In an example, the holder includes a bolt assembly having a first end to attach to a vehicle and a second end to quick release a support plate for holding the vehicle license plate. In an example, the quick release and re-attachment may be tool-less and/or may not require a re-leveling. In another example, the quick release may not require the same specific tool as a typical OEM license plate bracket and/or may require less application of the same specific tool.

Abstract: An accessory mounting apparatus is provided for coupling to a vehicle roll bar. The accessory mounting apparatus illustratively includes a driver side clamping device configured to be secured to a driver side upright of the roll bar, and a passenger side clamping device configured to be secured to the passenger side upright of the roll bar. Protective sleeves cooperate with the clamping devices to protect the roll bar from damaging contact therewith. A laterally extending cross member extends between the driver side clamping device and the passenger side clamping device.

Abstract: Herein is described my flag protection assembly that prevents flag deterioration from heat, humidity, wind, rain and other adverse environmental conditions. In some embodiments the flag protection assembly also prevents flag deterioration from ultraviolet light. My flag protection assembly does not require motorized, computerized or other electrical components to fully extend the flexible covering and enclosed flag from a support. My flag protection assembly preferably includes a flexible cover through which a short rod initially inserts. A flag is coiled around this short rod and the rod is then placed within the upper interior of the flexible cover. The flag is thereafter uncoiled within the flexible cover while the rod is removed through an opening in the bottom edge of the flexible cover.

Abstract: Mobile signs/billboards designed to attach to the back end of a vehicle are disclosed comprising a mounting device that is mounted to the back end of a vehicle via the holes for fixing a license plate, and a sign or billboard supported by the mounting device. The signs are designed in a variety of shapes and sizes to provide a display for advertisement or personal messaging. The sign/billboard can be inserted or removed quickly from the mounting device. While the sign/billboard is supported by the mounting device at the back end of the vehicle, the license tag is affixed elsewhere on the mounting device for full viewing and lighting. The mounting device remains on the vehicle until easily removed whereupon the license plate can be reattached to the vehicle. The mounting device comprises an inner pocket for easy insertion and removal of signs and billboards. Lighting may be wired with the vehicle or use solar power or batteries to providing lighting for the sign/billboard.

Abstract: A system for mounting a badge to a component of a vehicle is provided. The system comprises a mounting base including a fastening aperture extending in a direction through a plane defined by the mounting base, a trim ring coupled with a peripheral edge of the mounting base and configured to selectively mount the badge between the trim ring and the mounting base when said trim ring is coupled with the peripheral edge, and a flexible fastening member including a first end that is fixedly coupled with the mounting base and a second end that is positioned within the fastening aperture. The flexible fastening member is configured to be positioned around at least a portion of a component of a vehicle and between the mounting base and the badge to fasten the badge to the vehicle.

Abstract: A detachable vehicle-mounted banner assembly is provided, comprising a banner panel defining two opposing and at least semi-rigid surfaces, the surfaces comprising at least a leading edge; a banner mast comprising a base portion and a flanged portion, the flanged portion comprising an angled leading edge and a trailing slot, the trailing slot being configured to selectively engage at least the leading edge; and a base assembly having a first portion configured for attachment to a vehicle and a second portion configured to attachment relative to the base portion. The base portion is elongate and has a base longitudinal axis about which the banner mast and the banner panel pivot; and the flanged portion of the banner mast extends away from the base portion and has a flange longitudinal axis oriented at an acute angle relative to the base longitudinal axis. A method of mounting the assembly is also provided.

Abstract: In combination with a highway tractor of the type having an operator's cab mounted on a frame, a vertical pivotal coupling means coupled to the frame behind the cab adapted to be coupled to a trailer, and an aerodynamic structure at the top of the cab which includes a plurality of LED bulbs and a heat generating element in the front of the aerodynamic structure. A front panel of glass or plastic material having information such as a logo containing letters and/or images located on its first surface, second surface or embedded surface covers the LED bulbs with a weatherproof seal. Light from the LED bulbs provides illumination for the information on the front panel to be viewed from the front of the highway tractor and heat from the heat generating element helps to keep the front panel having information such as a logo free of snow and/or ice.

Abstract: A multipurpose sign base suitable for supporting temporary signs includes an upstanding mast supportable atop a support surface by a substantially horizontally extending, elongate, support member connected to a lower region of the mast, and by a plurality of elongate leg members of adjustable length each having an upper portion movably connected to a central region of the mast, and each having a lower portion movably connected to a different foot adapted to engage a different area of the support surface at locations arrayed about the mast. An upper region of the mast is connectable to a sign to support and display the sign. The legs and feet have retracted positions near the mast. A rearwardly extending formation of the horizontal support member can be coupled to a vehicle hitch so the sign base also can be supported on a vehicle for transport while displaying a sign.

Abstract: An emergency balloon system for alerting motorists to a stopped vehicle on a roadway featuring a base with a fan and lights, and a balloon component attached to the top of the base. The balloon has a reflective coating, a distress message, and reflective bars on its outer surface. When activated, the fan blows air into the balloon component to extend it upwardly. The system can be placed on a roadway or on a vehicle or any other appropriate location.

Abstract: A magnetic flag includes a piece of flexible material having a first edge and a second edge and at least one magnet located near the first edge of the piece of flexible material. The second edge is unattached to the object. The at least one magnet is attachable to an object to removably secure the piece of flexible material to the object.

Abstract: The invention relates to a decorative element (10) for a motor vehicle and to a method for producing the same. The decorative element (10) thereby comprises an at least partially transparent decorative film (12) applied to a flat carrier element (30) and back injection molded with two plastic layers (14, 16). At least the first plastic layer (14) is thereby at least partially transparent. The use of the first plastic layer (14) as an optical conductor is thereby made possible, allowing particularly optically attractive light coupling into the decorative element, and opening particularly extensive latitude in design.
