Abstract: A banner stand including a banner presenting graphics thereon, a base and a post operably coupled to the base and extending upwardly therefrom, and a support member operably coupleable with the post to support the banner in an upright display mode and to convert the banner to a curved configuration, wherein when the banner is the upright curved display mode, the banner includes a banner axis along a length thereof, the banner axis in a first position at an angle relative to an absolute vertical, wherein the angle is greater than zero degrees. The banner stand can further include an adjuster presented with the base and configured to enable adjustment of the post, such that the banner axis is effected to a second position, wherein the angle is substantially equal to zero degrees with respect to absolute vertical.

Abstract: A sign system is disclosed in which a flexible sign panel is supported by light weight frame numbers such as fiberglass ribs joined together with a pivot connection. A sign panel of flexible material has a center section disposed between a pair of opposed sign panel portions. The center portion of the sign panel engages a cross member with the sign panel portions being folded over on either side of an upright support member. Free ends of the sign panel member are secured with a stretchable elastic cord, ribbon or the like, to a mounting member having a socket for receiving one end of the vertical support member. By engaging the mounting member and stretching the elastic cords, the mounting member is disposed over one end of the vertical support and one released, engages the vertical support holding the sign panel portions in a display position.

Abstract: A kit for suspending a sign is disclosed herein. The kit includes first and second column anchors operable to be mounted in the ground. Each column anchor has a plurality of fins facing in different directions from one another and a conical tip. The kit also includes first and second columns individually receivable in one of the first and second column anchors and selectively removable. Each of the columns has a plurality of through-apertures. The kit also includes a plurality of sets of eye-bolts and nuts, each individually receivable in one of the plurality of through-apertures. The kit also includes a plurality of cable members having latches or S-hooks at both ends and a stretchable member extending between the latches or S-hooks.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for decorating architectural columns. The system includes opposing dowels that are contained within cylindrical housings. Banner-type decorations extend between the cylindrical housings. The cylindrical housings also include upper and lower access openings. Strap assemblies are also included that extend around the dowels via the access openings. The banner-type decorations are secured to the face of an architectural column by securing the upper and lower strap assemblies.

Abstract: An apparatus for retaining and selectively tensioning a sheet material display on a billboard which includes a base plate, a handle connected to the base plate, a draw bar operationally associated with the handle, a spring detachably connected to the draw bar, and a chain with one end connected to the spring and the other end capable of being detachably connected to the sheet material display. The draw bar is selectively positioned about the handle in at least two different positions to exert a different amount of tension to the sheet material display when the handle is place in a sheet material display tensioned position.

Abstract: The invention provides a device for advertising. The device includes a shaft to be vertically mounted, in use; an upper connection means proximate the upper end of the shaft for connecting to one end of each of at least two resiliently flexible rods; and a lower connection means proximate the lower end of the shaft for connecting to each other end of the resiliently flexible rods, such that with each rod being longer than the distance between the upper and lower connection means a banner of flexible material can, in use, be spanned by each rod in a plane defined by the rod and shaft.

Abstract: A rectangular banner display assembly for the rapid installation and replacement of ad banners having a frame with two horizontal members both of which are built of extruded segments with channels along which a pre-rolled banner is slid into position during installation. The frame includes a member supportive of a spindle over which the pre-rolled banner is placed and from which the banner is drawn longitudinally. A vertical end-cap with a hinge-able flap partially occludes the member supportive of a spindle while in a closed position, but is opened to access the spindle. A second vertical end cap with a hinge-able flap is opened to expel a banner to be replaced. A method of quickly replacing a previously installed ad banner with a new ad banner by taping the leading end of a new banner with the trailing end of previously installed banner is disclosed. While expelling the previously installed ad banner out the end of the banner display assembly, the new ad banner is drawn along to take its place.

Abstract: Retractable banner stands each comprises a base including a housing containing an extendable and retractable banner, the housing having a slot through which the banner is extended and retracted. The base includes sockets for receiving vertical poles for attachment of accessories. Such accessories can include banner support structure for an additional banner to be positioned intermediate two of said retractable banner stands whereby a three banner interconnected display may be provided with each of the banners visually separated. Such a display is highly suitable for a backwall for a tradeshow display area. Further accessories include shelves, literature holders, lighting, and electronic display screens. The base may include a housing with a pair of floor engaging saddles, each saddle with a pair of feet portions extending forwardly and rearwardly from the housing on two ends of the housing, the feet having the sockets for receiving said vertical poles.

Abstract: The ballcap banner is a team flag or banner that integrates 7?×5? pockets for the storage of baseball caps. Only the ballcap banner evolves a team flag/banner into a multi-pocketed storage device allowing users to display their team pride while conveniently storing their baseball caps. Grommets at the four corners allow the user to hang the banner on the back of a door or on a wall.

Abstract: A flexible mounting system for supporting a sign from a rigid structure for minimizing damage that might result from an impact force on the sign is disclosed. The flexible mounting system includes a flexible sign mount having a support bracket secured to a sign and a stationary bracket releasably securable to a rigid structure such a bollard. A flex element can be interposed between the support bracket and the stationary bracket to permit the sign to translate and rotate relative to the rigid support when the sign is subjected to an impact load.

Abstract: A sign holder arrangement for the support of a sign from an overhead support. The holder arrangement comprises an upper sign holder assembly clamped upon an upper edge of the sign and a lower sign holder assembly clamped upon a lower edge of the sign. At least one outer support clip is disposed peripherally around the upper sign holder. The clip has a cable attached thereto and to the overhead support to hold the sign therefrom.

Abstract: A retractable banner stand includes a canister with an extendable banner having an ad and/or message thereon viewable when the banner is extended. A kit comprised of a pair of end caps with foldable legs and a pole support are releasably engaged to the canister and can be removed without tools. The kit can be releasably engaged to a second canister, without tools, with the second canister containing a second banner with a different (or new) ad and/or message to thus facilitate changing banners.

Abstract: A horizontally-aligned, adjustable scroll including scroll assemblies frictionally and/or mechanically engaging a base pedestal. The scroll also includes a fixed display horizontally-aligned between the scroll assemblies. The scroll is adjustable by moving the scroll assemblies forward and backward to improve positioning of the fixed display.

Abstract: A hoisting, retention and removal apparatus for banners or signs, having two upper embodiments to be securely fastened to any vertical surface. They are designed to be mounted level with and opposite each other placed at a distance apart based on the need at a distance larger than the maximum length of sign or banner for which it will accommodate. Two lower embodiments are mounted directly below each upper embodiment within reach of the operator when standing on the ground or platform below the banner or sign display area. Four fiber ropes, each terminating with a safety snap device, are connected each to one corner of a sign or banner, routed through sheaves in the upper frame and are held taut by means of locking cleat in each of the lower enclosures. Position and tautness are achieved by adjustment of the fiber ropes in the lower enclosures.

Abstract: A quilt display frame utilizing a sheet of flexible material having a peripheral edge with a plurality of sleeves. Poles are placed within the sleeves and connected to one another to form a frame member. A connector is employed to this end which includes a pair of tubes that are connected to each other by a bridge a pair of legs are clipped on to the poles to support the frame on a surface in a upright position in order to allow a surface of the sheet to be used for holding patches for previewing a quilt design.

Abstract: A sign frame for use displaying a sign panel. The sign frame has a pair of vertical support posts, each having a bottom end, a middle area, and a spring-loaded roller extending from the top end to the middle area. A horizontal support member, having a hinged lock, attaches the vertical support posts together at the middle area. A stake is attached at the bottom end of each vertical support post for securing said post into the ground. The sign panel is attached to each of the spring-loaded rollers within each vertical support post and is displayed when the vertical support posts are extended apart and secured in the ground by the stakes. When the sign frame is disassembled, the sign retracts around the spring-loaded rollers for easily storing and transporting.

Abstract: A warning sign that is attached to a spring-loaded roller contained in a housing, which is then secured to the truck or trailer. When the sign must be displayed, the driver simply pulls the sign from the housing and extends it across the vehicle's bumper. When it is fully extended, the free end is secured to mounting fasteners located on the vehicle. In this way, the sign is ready for use, clean and in good condition. After the load has been hauled and the sign is no longer needed, it can be released and rolled back inside the housing, ready for the next use. The housing can be installed on trucks, pilot vehicles, heavy equipment, and trailers and can be deployed whenever needed simply be pulling the sign out and securing it to the vehicle.

Abstract: The modular folding display booth structure includes a base frame structure with a plurality of legs and an upper folding framework, to which an upper display frame structure is removably mounted, to provide a temporary, folding display structure, such as an exhibitor booth or sales booth. Abstract: An apparatus for retaining and selectively tensioning a sheet material display on a billboard which includes a base plate, a handle connected to the base plate, a draw bar operationally associated with the handle, a spring detachably connected to the draw bar, and a chain with one end connected to the spring and the other end capable of being detachably connected to the sheet material display. Abstract: A banner stand having an upright display mode and a collapsed transport mode, the banner stand comprising a banner presenting graphics thereon, a base and a post extending upwardly from the base, a support member selectively operably coupleable with the post to support the banner in an upright display mode, feet selectively changeable from a transport position to a operative position have an exposed alignment surface that cooperates with another such alignment surface on an adjacent banner stand to angularly and positionally control the respective banner stands to position as desired the respective banners. Tops of the banner stands may be coupled, such as by magnets, to further support and control the spacing and positioning of the banners.

Abstract: Printed grommeted banners are produced by applying thin grommets to banner material prior to introduction to a printing device, the grommets being sufficiently thin to permit feeding into the printing device. The grommets have a top flange and a barrel portion extending downwardly from the top flange, the barrel portion being crushed against the top flange to capture banner material between the crushed barrel portion and the top flange, the grommet and banner material having a combined thickness not exceeding 0.075 inches when so crushed. Preferably, the grommet captures a double layer of the banner material, and the grommet and banner material have a combined thickness in the range of 0.045-0.075 inches, 0.054 inches being a specific example. Alternatively, the grommet may capture only a single layer of material and the grommet and banner material may have a combined thickness in the range of 0.025-0.035 inches.

Abstract: A flag assembly is provided. The flag assembly includes a flag including a plurality of openings defined therein, and at least one replaceable panel. The replaceable panel includes at least one fastening mechanism. The at least one replaceable panel is coupled to the flag such that the at least one fastening mechanism is at least partially inserted through at least one of the plurality of openings. A method of assembling the flag assembly is also provided.

The apparatus includes tabs on top at either side to secure apparatus to a vertical plane. The soft display frame is produced by a transparent material in shape and size desired, that has been edged with a flexible material and permanently secured by the edges to the base of banner on 3(three) sides. This opening allows entry for items desired to be inserted securely. An attachment mechanism for the cap is a single strap, which is secured at both sides to base. Strap is connected at such points; as to allow the remainder of the strap to fall loosely to form a U shape. To secure the cap it is needed to fold the cap in half, from back to front; so that the back of the cap is nestling within the front of the cap and brim, and inserting the cap between base of banner and strap.

Abstract: A support for an attention getting item having a first section with an anchor of which size and shape are adapted for a complementary and secure fit within or to a channel or other complementary feature of a sign or display board, and having a second section for supporting an attention getting item, such as a flag, banner, ribbons, balloons, etc., in relation to the sign or display. In an example embodiment, the attention getting item may be a sign flag having a flag, a tapered elongated anchor member, with a narrow end and a wide end, and a cylindrical member connected to the wide end of the elongated member adapted to secure the flag. The dimensions of the tapered member may be adapted to removably secure the sign flag to the internal channels of a corrugated board such that the flag remains exposed.

Abstract: The shape of a marketing display insert allows it to be used in different price label fixtures. The shape of the marketing display insert is defined by a base portion that is wider than it is tall, a support portion that extends from the base portion, and a flag portion that extends from the support portion and is cantilevered over and separated from the base portion. For shelf-type display structures, cantilevering a flag above a base portion allows the marketing display insert to be inserted into the top of a price label fixture. For peg hook-type display structures, the space between the base portion and the flag portion allows the base portion to be inserted into a price label fixture from the side. In addition, a score between the flag portion and the support portion allows the flag portion to be bent out of plane from the base portion.

Abstract: A display device, according to the present invention, taking the form of a scroll with handle (201) and spool-rod shaft (202) for rolling and unrolling printed flexible material (400) and a tubular housing (300) with an internal chamber—a floating cowling—freely rotatable over said wound spool-rod from which the printed material is extendable. The scroll text (400) or image to be viewed is manually extendable by pulling it through a continuous longitudinal slot (301) in the cowling with a pull-tab (501) which also prevents the printed material from being irretrievably drawn into the cowling. The cowling is rotatably received at its open ends over the spool-rod by a pair of opposed retaining/aligning yokes. The invention improves on traditional scrolls by providing protective containment for the printed material without requiring the containment's separation to display it. The cowling and handle are adaptable as works of art related to the printed material.

Abstract: A banner is displayed about a tower structure, such as a water tower, by a system that enables ready substitution or replacement of the banner, without the use of high-lift equipment. The fabric banner is segmented, of wind permeable stretchable fabric, and mounted on rings that are carried on cables, suspended from a capstan atop the tower. Cable guidance pulleys, mounted on trolleys that run on a peripheral track about the top of the tower, enable the banner to be reoriented about the tower. The capstan and trolleys may be remotely controlled.

Abstract: A display system for suspending visuals for exhibit, training or advertising made up of an assembly of commercially available items, and used to display a banner or sign in a manner that is particularly useful on the set of a local television station. When a rigid sign is situated with its bottom edge positioned in the lower tubular member slot and its top edge in the upper tubular member slot, the sign is suspended for viewing. Abstract: A system for mounting a sign to a post comprises an elongated channel member adapted to be mounted on a backside of a sign and a bracket adapted to be mounted to a post to which the sign is to be mounted. The bracket has a channel engaging portion adapted to be slidably engaged into the channel member on the backside of the sign. The bracket comprises an endless collar extending along a continuous closed line and adapted to be fitted over the post. The collar defines at least one transversally oriented hole in which a threaded fastener is threadably engaged with a leading end thereof projecting inwardly of the continuous endless collar for exerting a pushing action on the post in order to secure the collar on the post while at the same time drawing the channel member against the post so as to prevent relative movement between the sign and the bracket.
