Abstract: The display assembly includes an elongated support member attached to a supporting surface upon which the display assembly is adapted for attachment. The support member includes a downwardly extending flange with at least one opening formed in the downwardly extending flange. The display assembly also includes at least one display holder adapted for releasably receiving merchandise information such that the merchandise information is presented to consumers as they move past the display assembly. The display holder includes a U-shaped clip hook which is shaped and dimensioned for releasable receipt in the opening formed in the downwardly extending flange such that the display holder is pivotally mounted to the elongated support member.

Abstract: A label holder and mounting clip for the mounting and display of electronic labels. A label holder of extruded plastic material snugly receives the enclosure of the electronic label which can be protected by a clear cover extending over the front of the label holder at least slightly spaced from the front of the label. A mounting strip is coextruded with the body of the label holder and is flexibly attached thereto by a co-extruded living hinge. Mounting brackets, of spring metal or the like, are received in pricing channels along the front of display shelving, or are otherwise mounted at the front of the shelving, and include a forwardly displaced, upwardly extending mounting tongue received in a downwardly opening slot in the flexibly attached mounting strip.

Abstract: A holder for fixing a placard to a body utilizing a mounting plate which confines the placard in a certain position. A multiplicity of pins are linked to the mounting plate and are capable of passing through the body. A backing member engages the pins through a plurality of apertures. The pins are held in place by a fixation member.

Abstract: A warning sign, having a vertically elongated housing mounted onto shelving with the housing extending a short distance laterally and perpendicularly from the face of the shelving, the housing preferably having advertising or other indicia positioned on opposing face members and a pocket which receives a pivoting warning arm, where the warning arm is hidden within the pocket in the vertical position but can be pivoted into an exposed horizontal position to extend laterally from the shelving to warn customers of hazardous conditions in the aisle. The sign is mounted with a hinged bracket having a non-vertical pivot axis, such that the sign will automatically resume a neutral position perpendicular to the shelving if it is pushed or pulled to either side.

Abstract: A shelf mounted display sign designed in particular for supermarkets having product shelves with pricing tracks, the display sign having a mechanical shelf clip connected to a vertical battery canister that has a cap with indicator lights and a vertical sign bracket with a flexible sign having a side edge engaged in the vertical sign bracket, the shelf mounted display sign also including in one embodiment the electronic circuitry and components to function as a triggering device to remotely activate a product promotion or advertisement on a display or a shopping cart proximate the triggering device.

Abstract: An electronic price label (EPL) mounting device and method which allows an EPL to be mounted on a shelf at a number of viewing angles. The device includes a first portion coupled to the shelf, and a second portion which retains the EPL and which is rotatably coupled to the first portion. The device may additionally include a retainer for securing a sign to the second portion.

Abstract: A sign holder device for mounting on the projecting lower margin of a display shelf ticket molding or label holder. The device is of injection molded construction having spaced apart side walls joined by top and bottom walls. A pair of mounting clips extend rearwardly and then upwardly from the bottom wall in general alignment with the respective through openings. Resilient plastic tabs, extending forwardly from the mounting clips, allow the device to be mounted on a variety of label holder configurations, where the label holders have a downwardly projecting lower edge margin to be received in the mounting clip. Abutment clips project rearwardly from the sidewalls toward the mounting clips and define locking recesses adjacent the bottom of the sign holder. This enables the sign holder to be applied over the lower edge of a flanged ticket molding and to be lockingly retained thereon by engagement of the lower flange within the locking recess.

Abstract: The present invention provides an identification device, and a method of use therefor. The identification device comprises a label holder, at least one label, and a strap or adhesive bond to secure the label holder to a storage container. The label holder preferably has a box frame and a slot therein. A slot entrance aperture allows the insertion of the label or labels into the slot. A window in an exterior wall of the label holder provides visual access to at least a portion of the information on the label. Each of the labels has a tab extending outwardly from the slot entrance aperture as well as printed information on at least one side of the label concerning the age of, the nature of, and the approximate amount of the contents of the storage container. In its preferred mode, the identification device also includes an indicator. The indicator preferably is attached to the box frame by an oval shaft that fits into a hole with a plurality of detents.

Abstract: A shelf sign system comprising a first shelf and a second shelf, a first mounting bracket attached to the first shelf and attached to the second shelf, the first mounting bracket spanning the first shelf and the second shelf, and a rotatable sign unit engaged with the mounting bracket. The sign unit is slidably engaged with the first mounting bracket permitting lateral movement of the sign unit. The mounting bracket may include a first flange with a first flange opening and a second flange with a second flange opening and a pin rotatably disposed in the first flange opening and the second flange opening, wherein the sign unit is engaged with the pin. The sign unit may include an L-shaped pivot bracket slidably engaging the pin. The sign unit may be rotatable from a first closed to a second open position. Also, a pivot bracket may be vertically slidable along the pin when the sign unit is in the open position so that the sign unit rests against the first and second flange.

Abstract: A label holder for displaying information-containing non-adhesive labels on a C-channel at the front of a merchandise shelf in a supermarket or the like. The label holder may be a co-extrusion of an opaque body panel and a transparent cover resiliently connected along their lower edges to define a label-receiving pocket therebetween or it may simply have opposing U-shaped channels defined by upper and lower lips to receive and retain the label. A pair of upwardly and rearwardly extending leg members are integral with the body panel. One of the leg members underlies and extends behind the lower flange member of the C-channel and the other leg member overlies and extends in front of the lower flange member. The leg members terminate in gripping elements biased toward each other to grippingly engage therebetween the front and rear surfaces of the central portion of the C-channel.

Abstract: The invention relates to improvements to a merchandise information system having a plurality of overlapping display items each having on opposite sides thereof information concerning available merchandise at a remote location. The system includes a support having a rigid base, and a plurality of spaced flexible webs formed integral with the lower edge of the base and depending therefrom. The display items are attached to the lower ends of the webs to display one side of the item. The lower end of each web includes a "claw" structure to prevent theft of the display item through downward extraction of the item from the web. The rigid base connects to a hanger support ledge on a plurality of steps on a display base. Mounting of a number of supports on the steps causes the display items to be arranged in an overlapping manner.

Abstract: A price indicator mounting unit which can install a price indicator at any place of a showcase (set of display shelves) and at any kind of display board (display shelf) easily but can not be removed easily by customers. Also, the price indicator mounting unit is inexpensive and capable of getting optional setting angle freely. The price indicator mounting unit comprises one or a plurality of display board mounting members and indicator mounting members, wherein the display board mounting member constituted of a bracket, a stopper plate and a screw, and as the screw is tightened, the both ends of the bracket are opened outward by the stopper plate put between the both ends to engage with a display board. In addition, by replacing the display board mounting member with another one, the connection with a flat rail becomes possible.

Abstract: Display eyeglass frame includes a frame member which is adaptable for placement on or is resident and integral with an upper front or a bow portion of an eyeglass frame or lens. The frame member is suitable for containing or itself contains display indicia. A method of displaying the indicia with the display eyeglass frame includes showing but especially wearing the display eyeglass frame with indicia. The display eyeglass frame and method are useful for advertising, disclosing, displaying, or promoting a message.

Abstract: An electronic price displaying label is disclosed for use in conjunction with a rail, the rail having two lips which define an access slot and a cavity, in which the label is prevented from slidably moving in a horizontal direction along the rail. The label has a protuberance connected to the rear of the label and first and second grooves arranged on the rear of the label such that the label can be secured in a display position along the rail. The aforementioned grooves disposed on the rear of the label contain a resilient substance such as a rubber band. The protuberance of the label may be removed from and inserted into the cavity of the rail when the label is in a position perpendicular to the rail, with the protuberance securing the label to the rail when the label is in a position parallel to the rail. Upon attaching the label on the rail, the compression of the resilient substance by the lips of the rail prevents the label from slidably moving in a horizontal direction along the rail.

Abstract: A disk holder is provided for a cardboard disk having decorative indicia printed thereon. The holder consists of a circular case having a first aperture therethrough. A structure is for maintaining the disk within the first aperture in the circular case. A bezel is provided having a second aperture therethrough. The bezel extends about the front of the circular case. The decorative indicia on the disk can be viewed through the second aperture in the bezel within the circular case.

Abstract: An advertising display mounting device is provided for attaching promotional displays, dispensers, or other objects to a price channel mounted on the edge of a grocery or other retail store shelf. The advertising display mounting device has first and second clips adapted to mate with the price channel of a grocery or other retail store shelf. The clips are forced into mated relation with the price channel by a locking slide. First clip is provided having a plurality of teeth. Second clip has a slot formed therein for accepting first clip so that first and second clips are oriented parallel to each other and to the price channel. A channel formed in second clip accepts a locking slide, also having one or more teeth for cooperating with the corresponding teeth on first clip. As locking slide is forced into the channel, first and second teeth mesh and move the first clip relative to the second clip to lock the mounting device in the price channel.

Abstract: A portable and reversible lightweight sticker display system is disclosed for stickers and the like. Each of the various embodiments includes a display board of various configurations each defining slots for capturing a support device along each side edge, and stiffening rods for high temperature and windy applications. In each embodiment the mounting devices can be reversed so that the display board can be mounted on the inside of a window so that the sticker is visible through the window or on the outside of a surface. Simply reverse the position of the display board and the suction cups to display a sticker on the other side of the display board. The sticker display system can also be utilized as a sun visor to cover the open area of the windshield of an automobile.

Abstract: A housing (FIG. 2) for an electrical or electronic component which includes a base (10) and an enclosure cap (30), which are held together by a resilient wire-type clip (20) affixed to the base which extends along side of and then over across the top of the cap, compressively holding the cap to the base. The bottom, return leg (20AA) of the clip includes a laterally extended portion (22) at or near the front, side edge (31), from which is suspended a label holder (40; FIG. 3). An adhesively-backed label is affixed to the front display surface (43) of the holder and includes printed indicia indentifying the electrical or electronic component contained within the housing. The clip of wire-like material extends over about eighty (80%) of the width of the sides of the cap in "zig-zag" fashion and extends diagonally across the top of the cap from near one corner to near the opposing corner.

Abstract: A label holder attachment is provided for the distal end of an elongate product information display tag of the kind that extends over a horizontally disposed product support hook. The label holder attachment may be used, for example, to provide temporary product information such as sale or special offer pricing. The label holder attachment has a pair of fold-down tabs which can be squeezed together and inserted through an elongate slot at the distal end of the tag in order to mount the attachment on the tag. The attachment also has a label holding portion which extends forwardly of the tag and which can take a number of different forms.

Abstract: A shelf tag moulding attachment assembly is provided for securing a product information module to a standard shelf tag moulding in a manner as to inhibit unauthorized removal, while permitting easy removal by authorized personnel through use of a grasping device. The assembly preferably includes a mounting member having projections disposed at one end for effecting biting engagement with one of the tag moulding lips, and a lever arm rotatably coupled to the mounting member having a cam at one end disposed to controllably engage the other lip of the tag moulding. The assembly is demountably secured to the tag moulding when the lever arm is rotated with respect to the mounting member.

Abstract: A substantially doughnut-shaped insert which will fit into any conventional golf cup to display an advertisement which is visible to a golfer when putting or when retrieving the golf ball from the hole.

Abstract: A sheet dispenser and display is provided which includes a holder adapted to support a pad and a display car behind the pad, the holder being mountable on a support such as a price channel. The holder may be formed of a flat sheet of flexible material adapted for coupling to the price channel. A pair of spaced flexible prongs project from the mounting portion for receipt in apertures in the pad. A card support portion is coupled by a pair of laterally spaced legs to the mounting portion intermediate the prongs for supporting the display card. The display card may be provided with a portion which extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the support for projecting into a store aisle.

Abstract: A display device is provided for containing an information card or ticket, securing the identification card to a structural member of a merchandising fixture and displaying the card to purchasers. The device is a one-piece construction extruded from a dual-durometer plastic. It includes a display segment with a cover for containing and displaying a card or ticket. The device also includes a support engaging segment with gripping ribs for engaging the edge portion of a support to releasably secure the device to the support.

Abstract: A plurality of display items each having on opposite sides thereof information concerning available merchandise at a remote location. A support includes a rigid base including integral mounting flanges. A plurality of spaced flexible webs are formed integral with the lower edge of the base and depend therefrom. The display items are attached to the lower ends of the webs to display one side of the items. The flexible webs permit a customer to swing the item upwardly about the flexible web to view the opposite side of the item. The base also includes an upwardly facing channel for receiving the lower ends of display items to support the items in upstanding relation thereto.

Abstract: Apparatus for either display, or for both display and dispensing, is mounted to shelf tag molding directs customer attention to a featured item in a store as customers approach the area of a shelf on which the item can be found. The apparatus comprises a frame that is pivotally mounted into a bracket assembly which is rigidly secured to the shelf tag molding. The frame holds on either side of its surfaces, promotional material that presents a message to the approaching customers. The apparatus includes biasing springs which position the frame in a steady state location that is normal to the shelf tag molding. Whenever the frame is deflected from its steady state location by, for example, a customer or a shopping cart moving past and striking it, the biasing springs automatically return the frame to its steady state location. This ensures that the advertising message appearing on the promotional materials continually remains in direct view of approaching customers.

Abstract: A mounting assembly for a product merchandising display support a header sign relative to products arranged on a shelf of the display. The mounting assembly includes at least one header sign holder and a pair of laterally spaced members for mounting the header sign holder relative to the shelf. Each member includes an attachment bracket for attaching to a portion of the display. Each member also includes a header holder support bracket and a structure interconnecting the attachment bracket and header holder support bracket to mount the header sign holder relative to the shelf. The interconnecting structure is an upright brace connected at opposite ends with the attachment bracket and header holder support bracket. The upright brace is adjustably connected with the header holder support bracket for angularly varying the mounted relationship of the header sign holder.

Abstract: An integrated modular store fixture system provided with a plurality of C-shaped rigid frame members, each having two horizontal arms and a vertical spine connecting the two arms and disposed at a rear portion of the unit and a plurality of rigid spacer elements connecting the frame members together in a spaced apart parallel relationship. A plurality of trays for holding merchandise to be displayed are releasably mounted between successive spines.
