  • Patent number: 5237767
Abstract: A mounting device is provided for attaching promotional displays, dispensers, or other objects to a shelf in a grocery or other retail store shelf. The mounting device has resilient first and second jaws that are forced into engagement with the shelf by a locking slide. In one preferred embodiment, first jaw and second jaw are oriented at slightly less a 90.degree. angle relative to the body of the mounting device. The body has a vertical slot into which a rack attached to the second jaw slides and a horizontal channel into which a locking slide is inserted to cooperate with the rack. The rack has teeth which mesh with cooperating teeth on a locking slide to move the jaws together. In addition, the body has, for example a price channel, to which an advertising or promotional display device such as a shelftalker, or other object can be mounted.

  • Patent number: 5199203
Abstract: A reusable indexing tab includes first and second interconnected wing portions which are pivotally connected along a hinge portion. Each wing portion includes a first panel which acts as a clamping jaw, a second panel which acts as an index tab, and a hinge portion connecting the first and second panels. In the preferred embodiment the wing portions are identical with one wing portion inverted to interconnect with the other wing portion. A clamping force is produced by forming a bend in each first panel generally midway between the upper and lower edges, with the upper edge bent rearwardly. The bias of the bends produces a clamping force between the first panels. A lock mechanism on the second panels will selectively maintain the wing portions in their clamped position. Preferably, a second bend is formed in each wing portion with each first panel bent rearwardly along the longitudinal connection with the associated hinge portion.

  • Patent number: 5170578
Abstract: An indicia-bearing attachment for electrical conductors includes a hollow generally U-shaped housing having a horizontal top wall and a pair of downwardly-depending side walls, thereby to define an open-ended chamber for longitudinally receiving at either end one end of the conductor depending on the orientation of the housing for proper reading of the indicia. In order to maintain the conductor in the chamber adjacent the horizontal top wall, a T-shaped clamp member is pivotally connected between the lower ends of the side walls, two arms of the clamp member being horizontal and colinearly arranged longitudinally in the chamber, and a third arm being vertical and joined to the adjacent ends of the horizontal arms.

  • Patent number: 5154330
Abstract: A shopping list holder having a novel method of fastening the holder on a vertical rod of a child seat on a standard shopping cart. The method of fastening permits the list holder to be positioned at two distinct angles of repose. The angle of reponse that is more accessible by the user is selected merely by choosing whether to fasten the list holder around a vertical rod from the right to left or from left to right. The use of magnetic strips enables the holder to be stored on a refrigerator or other metal surface to keep the list holder readily available for use at home.

  • Patent number: 5054220
Abstract: A structure for supporting a product label in connection with a product rack comprised of tubular support members. The present invention provides a planar face which is configured to fit between and among the tubular members which form the rack. This generally rectangular face is used as a backing for labels, such as product labels. The present invention also discloses side walls which extend generally downwardly over a generally concave curve from the rectangular face. The curve of the generally downwardly extending side walls is such that it can snappingly engage the tubular members of the rack. In certain rectangular, square and other similar configurations of the planar face, additional downwardly extending side walls may also be included within the structure. These side walls may or may not engage the tubular members of the rack. A lip structure extending generally perpendicularly outwardly from the lower edges of the side walls is also provided.

  • Patent number: 4967500
Abstract: An information display device has a display surface supported on a leg from the lower end of which one or more finger elements extend at a right angle to the display surface to detachably or permanently secure it to one of the jaws of a garment clamping hanger. The finger elements engage the rear jaw of the garment clamp in such a manner that the clamp will remain erect during handling of the hanger and its load and will not interfere with the loading and unloading of the hanger. While the fingers extend the length of the hanger, the display surface is positioned at a right angle thereto so the information of its display surface is visible from the end of the hanger.

  • Patent number: 4915215
Abstract: A carrying case for business cards and the like, which case is securable to a piece of material, is disclosed. The case includes a body having first and second side members. The side members define a cavity therebeween which communicates with an opening at one end thereof. The body is sized and shaped to receive the cards through the opening into the cavity. An arrangement for accessing and removing the cards from the cavity includes a slot disposed along the first side member depending from one end toward the center portion of the first side member. A mechanism is provided for removably securing the case to the piece of material. Finally, an element projects from the interior surface of the second side member opposite the slot for constricting the width of the cavity along the center portion thereof to assist in maintaining the cards within the case while providing a leverage area for removal of the cards.

  • Patent number: 4882862
Abstract: A clip for mounting supermarket type price display cards upon different shaped edges of walls of open top containers is formed of a base with integral, downwardly extending legs forming an edge receiving channel and a number of integral upwardly extending legs for forming a series of card receiving channels upon the top of the base. The card receiving channels are arranged at different angles relative to the base for holding the cards in different, upright, tilted positions. One of the downwardly extending legs is about perpendicular to the base and terminates in a flange. The other downwardly extending leg extends downwardly a short distance, then exceeds horizontally towards the perpendicular leg and then is turned downwardly along a bowed curved aligned with the flange. Thus, different shaped container edges may be closely fitted between the straight and multiple bent legs and clamped between these legs.
