Abstract: A folding table for the rear of a backrest, the table having a surface with a depression therein in which a carrier for visible material, like an advertisement, is disposed. The carrier is received in an undercut in the depression. Alternatively, a frame around the edge of the carrier has projections received in grooves in the table for holding the frame and thereby the carrier to the surface.

Abstract: The birthday calendar is a dual monthly calendar and twelve-month chart. The calendar is perpetual in that it is not designated for any particular time period. The monthly calendar displays a month, either from a single use calendar or by filling in a month grid disposed on a dry-erase board with erasable ink. The chart is a grid used to permanently record and display birth dates and other annual dates such as anniversaries and holidays. The chart displays columns intersected by rows. The columns are grouped in twelve sets of two having a month column adjacent to a year column. The rows display the dates of each month down the left side of the chart, numbered from 1–31. An event is recorded in the chart by writing the event's name in the appropriate month and date space and the year in the adjacent year space.

Abstract: A dual sided integral composite image product and method of make same. The image product includes a first support substrate having a separate image layer thereon and a second support substrate having separate image layer thereon. The second support substrate being secured to the first support substrate so as to form the dual sided integral composite image product. A fold line is provided on said image product about which the integral composite image product may be folded.

Abstract: A label holder is hingedly connected to a clip portion grippingly engaged over a transversely extending rod at the distal end of a merchandise aid, such as a scanner hook or the like, or over a plate on the end of a scanner hook enabling the label holder to be moved forwardly to access or position product on the scanner hook, or, in some applications, rearwardly in the event of impact from a passerby. By selecting the properties of the hinge section, the label holder can be temporarily fixed in a selected angular relationship when the scanner hook extends above or below the eye of a viewer to facilitate reading information on labels carried thereby.

Abstract: A device for displaying and exchanging a plurality of documents of various shapes and sizes and for organizing the same. The device of the present invention comprises at least two layers of pliable sheet material. If multiple sheets are used, the sheets may be nested together. The sheets may then be inserted into a binder mechanism where the binder mechanism compressibly engages the layers to create a pressure region adjacent thereto. The frictional force between the sheet material and the inserted document retains a document inserted into the pressure region formed between two adjacent layers.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for labeling the spine or edge of a binder. In an embodiment, the device comprises a housing, a clip attached to the housing and a label encased within the housing. The housing further comprises a base portion and a cover portion, wherein the cover portion is adapted to enclose a label within the base portion of the labeling device.

Abstract: An identification labeling system having a faceplate with a recess and a label cover that may be retained within the recess. The label cover may have compartments for retaining identification labels. The label cover has latching legs and the recess has a complementary retention ledge. A lift slot may be provided to facilitate removal of the label cover. The recess may contain holes to accommodate individual molded identification icons. The recess may include tapered corners to accommodate strip labels of different widths and lengths, such labels being positioned by the tapered corners of the recess and the label cover. The recess includes end configurations that prevent a label from passing through the surface of the faceplate. The label cover has a thickness so as to be flush with the faceplate. The label may be the same color as the faceplate.

Abstract: A book that is capable of displaying one or more coins related to its theme, including a front cover and a back cover. At least one book cover defines one or more apertures that are capable of receiving coins. The book theme is displayed on at least one of the book covers. The book may optionally include one or more caps that may be inserted into and removed from the coin-receivable apertures. These caps will preferably display images that are related to the theme of the book. The invention provides a coin specific display that stores and displays one or more coins in an appealing manner, and that also conveys or provides additional information about the theme displayed on the coin.

Abstract: A multiple advertisement holder uses a flat sheet member that has a body member attached thereto. The body member has a first cell for holding multiple advertisement materials of a business as well as a second cell that is located forward of the first cell, the second cell holding a flat sheet of stimulus material that further advertises the business and provides the stimulus to attract the attention of a prospective client so that the client may retrieve the advertising material of the business from the device. A third cell may also be provided adjacent the first cell so that the business can provide advertising materials of different sizes and/or heights to the prospective clients. The sheet member can be attached to a desired surface by providing a surface appropriate mechanism to facilitate such attachment.

The tab has a rigid flat writing surface, which is overlaid by a transparent window in a first configuration and which is exposed for writing on a second configuration. The writing surface and the window are connected together so as to not, in either the first or second configuration, be separated from one another but to be separable if need b without destroying their integrity.

Abstract: A document and card holder has a semi-rigid backing element. Flexible transparent sheets are mounted on the front and back sides of the backing element. Side and bottom edges of the transparent sheets are attached to the side and bottom edges of the backing element to form pouches for retaining documents and cards. Some of the pouches are formed by transparent sheets mounted over or directly on pouches which are mounted directly on the backing element. The pouches are made of different sizes to accommodate different size documents and cards. Bias cuts are formed in the tops of pouches to facilitate the installation and removal of documents and cards. Two backing elements having pouches installed thereon are hinged together so they can be folded over each other.

Abstract: A memento and a process for manufacturing mementos is disclosed wherein a rectangular laminated sheet is created by face-mounting a color graphic print to an acrylic sheet with an optically-clear adhesive. Then, the laminated sheet is precision-divided into a plurality of discrete mementos with full-bleed imagery conforming to the size and shape of the sub-images comprising said graphic print. Also disclosed are: (i) methods for customizing such mementos with company logos, individual names, or other information; (ii) a first embodiment in the form of a name badge with a removable film backing and finding that permits the user to easily detach the finding from the back of the badge and utilize the remainder as a personalized key fob or luggage tag; and (iii) other embodiments in the form of golf bag tags, name tags, award plaques, photo frames, and mounting boards for physical totems and memorabilia.

Abstract: Display mattress protectors are provided that protect mattresses in a mattress showroom when customers lie on the mattresses and place their feet on the mattresses. A display mattress protector may be formed from a clear vinyl sheet with reverse-printed promotional information on its lower surface. The promotional information may include a manufacturer's logo. By reverse printing the promotional information on the underside of the mattress protector, the printed information is not subject to wear from the shoes of the customers. Because the sheet is clear, the promotional information is visible to the customers. Because the vinyl is thick, the vinyl does not wrinkle significantly. Shock cord firmly attaches the mattress protector to the mattress. Barbs at the ends of the shock cord attach the shock cord to the vinyl sheet. Cord stoppers are used to make coarse adjustments to the lengths of the shock cord to accommodate different mattresses.

Integral rib and groove structures may be used to assist in securing the top and bottom layers to one another. A weighted end cap may assist in providing a balanced feel to the equipment.

Abstract: A light-weight, portable display system which includes plural, hollow, plastic panels having uniquely contoured corners. The panels may be of flat or curved configuration. Most of the plastic panels are fabricated to present smooth front and rear faces. However, some panels are made with at least one slotted face for supporting shelves therein. Straight plastic connector components are designed to accept the corners of the panels, thereby connecting the panels in a manner to form a display area. Hinged plastic connectors are provided so that adjacent panels may be arranged at angles ranging from ninety to one hundred eighty degrees.

The casket portions are supported on shelves which are removably secured to the back wall. The information modules are similarly removably secured to the back wall. The display may incorporate “themes” to feature the various casket choices. The theme technique may also be utilized in the funeral home viewing room.

Abstract: A shelf-front label holder is provided with a specifically improved form of auxiliary sign clip along its upper front edge. The label holder is formed of a relatively rigid plastic material, and the sign clip includes a downwardly extending portion overlying the upper front margin of the label holder to accommodate upward insertion of special sign tags. A thin, flexible tongue-like retaining element extends across a lower portion of the sign clip and is adapted to be easily deflected by upward insertion of a paper sign but thereafter lightly grips the sign to hold it in place. A new process is also disclosed for the continuous extrusion of the new label holder product, enabling the continuous co-extrusion of the soft, flexible tongue-like retaining element together with the main section of the label holder.
