The fastening structure is positioned through the aperture of the tab-like structure and mounted to the multi-use frame. The fastening structure defines a raised pedestal profile from a surface of the multi-use frame for allowing rotation of the tab-like structure relative to the fastening structure. The at least one securing arm engaging an outer edge of the fastening structure to rotatably attach the fastening structure to the tab-like structure. In operation, the user rotates the tab-like structure relative to the fastening structure about an axis to engage or disengage the graduated ramp portion within the multi-use frame.

Abstract: A frame element assembly suitable for forming the frame of a display holder, the frame element assembly having a base portion and a retaining leaf, the retaining leaf being pivotally mounted with respect to the base portion, the retaining leaf being held in a pivotal arrangement by a bow spring, the assembly being adapted such that in use the retaining leaf can pivot between an “open” position in which display material can be inserted or removed from the display holder and a “closed” position in which display material is retained within the display holder. The assembly is adapted such that the retaining leaf is removably mounted with respect to the pivot arrangement when the display holder is in its assembled state.

Abstract: A four bar kinematic artwork retainer that attaches to a frame for securely holding artwork in a frame. The four bar kinematic artwork retainer device is installed for retaining artwork in a frame by positioning the pivot pin interconnecting two point links of the retracted artwork retainer in the inside corner of a frame and then locking the artwork retainer in position wherein the piercing points of the artwork retainer have engaged with the frame. The installed artwork retainer is in intimate contact with the back of the artwork and corner of the frame. The artwork retainer quickly, safely and easily attaches to the frame without modifying the frame or using tools.

Abstract: A picture frame assembly comprises a first background panel for affixation to a wall surface, the panel having at least one aperture for releasable insertion of a picture frame therein. Tabs on the rear of the frame releasably secure the frame to slots in the panel for display of the frame in a wall hanging mode. Molding about the frame overlies the defining edge of the panel aperture. Removal of the tabs from the panel slots allows the frame to be disengaged from the panel. A leg on the rear surface of the removed frame supports the removed frame on a horizontal surface. The assembly thus presents structure allowing for picture display in wall mounted or stand alone modes.

Abstract: A frame for framing a poster or similar on a wall is disclosed. The frame requires no rigid backing element since the wall itself serves to support the poster. The frame includes a top piece, at least two side members and a plurality of corner pieces for connecting the top piece and the side members to form an enclosing frame. Each of the side members has a front portion and a rear portion, with these portions being connected together to form an inwardly facing groove for receiving edge portions of the poster. The rear portion is in the form of a thin flange having opposed front and rear surfaces with the front surface partially delimiting the groove.
