One end section of the ink reservoir tube is coupled to a connection part formed on a writing member or a relay member that holds the writing member to constitute the ink reservoir unit for a writing instrument. In one preferred aspect, a locking device using a male thread formed on an outer peripheral surface is provided to the connection part to be connected to the ink reservoir tube, and the ink reservoir tube is coupled to the relay member that holds the writing member by the locking device.

A biasing element is disposed between the valve and the tool holder, the biasing element biases the valve away from the tool holder. A movable closure assembly retains the valve on the extension and selectively allows the lid to open and close. The closure assembly includes a closure ring and a retention ring connected by one or more closure arms. The retention ring is disposed on the tool holder and the retention ring is prevented from sliding off of the tool holder by a retention stop.

Accordingly, a push-proof capability is provided to the pushbutton to prevent the working element from extending out of the body unintentionally.

Abstract: A valve door for a seal cylinder comprises a lid having first and second surfaces and a connecting means connecting the lid with an actuating mechanism, the connecting means distributes forces from the actuating mechanism across a portion of the first lid surface in order to bias the lid to a closed position. A force directing member is attached to the first lid surface, the force directing member being adapted to distribute force from the connecting means over a portion of the lid surface, thereby maintaining a positive seal and reducing lid deflection.

Abstract: A closure assembly for a retractable instrument having an applicator element comprises at least two fingers and a sleeve operatively coupled with the at least two fingers. When the retractable instrument is in a retracted position, the sleeve constrains the fingers such that the fingers are in a fully closed state around the applicator element. Protraction of the sleeve and relative movement between the fingers and the sleeve allows the fingers to open, thereby exposing the applicator element. Thus, the closure assembly opens to expose an applicator element such that the applicator element is in an application position.
