Abstract: A knock-type liquid container includes a body having a tank that holds a liquid, and an outlet provided at a forward end, a piston in the tank, and a piston-advancing mechanism having a knocking body that projects rearwardly of the body for advancing the piston forwardly when the knocking body is knocked in an axial direction of the container. A rearward end surface of the rear cap that forms a rear end surface of the container, except the knocking body is not normal to the axial direction, but makes an angle other than an approximate right angle with the axial direction. A distance between a rear end surface of the knocking body at a non-knocking position and a rearmost portion of the rearward end surface of the container, except the knocking body, is less than a stroke of the knocking body required for advancing the piston.

  • Patent number: 6679641
Abstract: A tooth brush with reservoir having a body that is releasably attached to a head with the bristles. Releasable attachment of the body is accomplished with an aperture that also serves for dispensing tooth paste from a reservoir within the body. A blade within the body is attached to a tab outside the body with a stem that passes through a linear aperture in the body. Pushing the tab toward the aperture, thus, forces the blade toward the aperture. Consequently, when the reservoir contains tooth paste, pushing the tab toward the aperture urges tooth paste toward the aperture, eventually resulting in the dispensing of tooth paste from that aperture. Either a foldable membrane or a central partition impedes the escape of tooth paste through the linear aperture.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a cartridge type applicator which can prevent the application liquid from flowing back from the applying portion into the cartridge and which is suitable for use with a high viscosity application liquid. This applicator includes an advancing mechanism or piston mechanism made up of a sealing plug disposed inside a cylindrical cartridge tank for constituting the rear end wall of the tank, and a rod member attached to the sealing plug for causing the sealing plug to move in the axial direction of the tank; and an actuator (actuating member) for causing the rod member to move or advance in the axial direction by rotation thereof, and is constructed such that, when the actuator is turned, the rod member causes the sealing plug to move in the axial direction so as to reduce the volume of the space inside the tank.

Abstract: A toothbrush apparatus for dispensing toothpaste to the bristles having a generally hollow head portion attached to a generally hollow receiving portion, capable of receiving and supporting a paste cartridge. The toothbrush also contains a handle portion, which is attached to the receiving portion at the opposite side of the head portion. The handle portion contains a plunger and a sliding button configured such that the plunger is located inside the head portion and is capable of sliding in and out of said head portion and receiving portion. A paste cartridge containing paste and having a hole and a stopper located at opposite ends is placed in the receiving portion such that the hole of the paste cartridge is connected to the head portion of the device. When the sliding button slides towards the head portion, the plunger moves inside the paste cartridge forcing the stopper to move towards the head portion and forcing paste from the cartridge toward the head portion and to the bristles of the toothbrush.
