  • Patent number: 9610148
Abstract: The method of the present invention is directed to the storage and dispensing of a peroxide containing tooth whitening composition. During storage and subsequent use the composition in the storage chamber must be maintained segregated from the applicator surface. This is accomplished by delivering the peroxide containing tooth whitening composition from the storage chamber through a delivery channel having a length and a cross-sectional diameter sufficient to preclude the migration of moisture and the enzyme catalase from the application surface to the storage chamber. The composition is applied to teeth by means of bristles, a sponge surface or fibrillated surface. This applicator can be used with both aqueous and non-aqueous peroxide containing tooth whitening compositions.

  • Patent number: 8845221
Abstract: A clicking type dispensing container that can dispense the content by pressing a crown disposed at the rear end of a barrel body, forwards in the axial direction, and has a structure, including a mechanical assembly that transforms the pressing force acting on crown by user operation into rotational force, a threaded body fixed to barrel body and a threaded rod screw-fitted into threaded body, and dispensing the content by advancing the threaded rod through the threaded body when the threaded rod is turned by the rotational force transformed by the mechanical assembly. The clicking type dispensing container can produce the rotational force without depending on spring force and cam configuration only, is constructed of a fewer number of parts and can dispense a fixed amount of the content by use of a thread.

  • Patent number: 8801315
Abstract: An airless applicator may deliver high/low viscosity liquids or semi-liquids, and contains a valve controlling flow between a product reservoir and an intermediate pooling area, while a narrow opening between the intermediate pooling area and a product dispensing chamber controls flow therebetween. This arrangement prevents backflow to the product reservoir, precluding an influx of contamination therein. Product delivery is by specially adapted applicator heads. In one embodiment, a plurality of prongs, and openings into the product dispensing chamber, permit application of mascara onto eyelashes. Alternating prong heights increases effectiveness in applying mascara onto all sides of a user's lashes. Other applicator heads are configured for lip product applications such as for lipstick, and for eye products such as eyeliner and eye shadow.

Abstract: A cosmetic dispenser comprises a brush, a cylinder, a ratchet wheel comprising internal ratchets and external ratchets, a rotating sleeve including a cosmetic reservoir and a piston. The brush is attached to the cylinder, which is rotatably attached to the revolving sleeve. The ratchet wheel is attached to the end of the cylinder disposed inside the revolving sleeve. The piston extends through the ratchet wheel and has a piston head disposed in the cosmetic reservoir of the revolving sleeve. An axial tunnel extends the entire length of the piston and communicates with a cosmetic reservoir. A needle extends from the brush into the piston axial tunnel. This cosmetic dispenser is constructed in such a way that, relative rotation of the cylinder and the rotating sleeve in a dispensing direction results in displacement of the piston head into the cosmetic reservoir and pressurized flow of a liquid cosmetic from the cosmetic reservoir to the brush.
