The device has a dental solution disposed within the containment chamber, a receiver tip coupled to the handle at the first end, a material passage within the receiver tip that forms a conduit between the first end and a receiving end, a frangible seal that separates the containment chamber from the material passage, and a piercing cannula in fluid communication with an applicator tip and having a distal piercing end extending toward the frangible seal. The piercing cannula is moveable between a first position and a second position. When in the first position, the piercing end is spaced apart from the frangible seal, and in the second position, the piercing end punctures the frangible seal and fluidly connects the dental solution with the applicator tip.

Abstract: A dispensing and refilling system for dispensing and refilling dentifrice material comprising a dispensing toothbrush having a hollow cavity and a refilling apparatus for refilling the dentifrice material in the dispensing toothbrush. The refilling apparatus comprises a dentifrice material reservoir for housing therein the dentifrice material, a nozzle detachably coupled to the dentifrice material reservoir, and a pumping assembly for applying a force of pressure to the dentifrice material. As the force of pressure is applied to the dentifrice material, the dentifrice material exits refilling apparatus and enters the hollow cavity. The refilling apparatus has a mechanism for clasping the detachable nozzle when not in use.

Abstract: A pump toothbrush includes a brush portion, a grip portion and an intermediate arm portion. The grip portion includes a container portion for dental cleansing medium and is connected to the brush portion by way of a pump device to feed the dental cleansing medium into the brush portion through the intermediate arm portion. The pump device includes a frame portion that is arranged between the container portion and the arm portion. The frame portion is provided with a recess located perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal axis of the pump toothbrush. An adjusting body forming an inner portion of the pump device is fitted into the recess in the frame portion. The adjusting body possesses an axial outwards open intermediate space that functions as a chamber in the pump device. The intermediate space in the adjusting body is closed by a flexible pressure membrane.
