  • Patent number: 6676319
Abstract: In the outer sleeve there runs a threaded spindle which is mounted in a bearing sleeve (5) and on which a piston (30) is movable up and down. The outer sleeve (1) is in relation to its inner diameter Ad considerably longer than with known glue sticks. The ratio of the inner diameter Ad of the outer sleeve (1) to the length AL of the part of the outer sleeve which serves for receiving a rod-like adhesive mass (10) here lies in the region of 1:6 to 1:15. This however according to the invention demands that the threaded spindle is configured such that it simultaneously serves as a conveyor worm. Thanks to the special configuration of the piston (30) is spite of the great length of the threaded spindle there is achieved a bending-breakage stabilization.

  • Patent number: 6623197
Abstract: A water-based solid marking composition comprises water, a humectant and a solidifying agent present in the weight ratio of 2˜3:1˜2:1. A water-based marking instrument comprising the water-based solid marking composition includes a body surrounding the water-based solid marking composition, a packing for supporting the lower portion of the water-based solid marking composition and for assisting the transportation of the water-based solid marking composition, and a screw facing the packing so as to move the packing upwardly and downwardly, which have advantages in color miscibility, affinity to paper, usability, color tone, less sludge on paper and removal of stains on undesired sites, can render watercolor images using a crayon pastel, a crayon, a colored pencil or a marker, can prevent the composition from feeling sticky in a user's hands and conserves resources, and protects our environment.

  • Patent number: 6152632
Abstract: To make full use of a rod-like glue contained in a cylindrical dispenser main body of a glue dispenser to its final portion, a spiral member of a rotary operator element of the glue dispenser has a spiral outer diameter which is set to be equal to or larger than 30% and equal to or smaller than 80% of the outer diameter of rod-like glue, and a spiral pitch which is set to be equal to or larger than 50% and equal to or smaller than 300% of the spiral outer diameter. The spiral member is directly screwed to the rod-like glue integrally attached to a slider coupled with a bottom portion of the glue by elastic retaining pieces by which it is not necessary to form a top face of the slider in a recessed shape. The rod-like glue can be extracted and retracted from and to a dispenser main body by moving up and down the glue by rotating the rotary operator element.

  • Patent number: 5902062
Abstract: A container for dispensing solid crystal deodorant including an elongated outer tubular member having both of its ends open and an elongated slot longitudinally disposed on its inside surface. An elongated inner tubular member, with at least one open end, is rotably held within the outer tubular member. The inner tubular member has helical grooves. Positioned inside the inner tubular member is a holder suitable for holding a solid crystal deodorant product to extend out from the container. The holder has tabs inserted through the helical grooves and into the elongated slot. The holder also has a plurality of projections extending from its periphery which contact an indentation on the external surface of the crystal deodorant to hold the solid crystal deodorant onto the holder.

  • Patent number: 4299506
Abstract: A mechanical pencil is disclosed which comprises a casing having a ferrule at its tip end and having an axially extending central bore formed therein, and a lead-containing sleeve fitted into the central bore and capable of containing a plurality of leads. The mechanical pencil includes a lead guide pipe which is mounted in the ferrule and extending into the central bore. A feed roller is rotatably mounted within the central bore between the lead guide pipe and the lead-containing sleeve for feeding a lead from the sleeve into the lead guide pipe. The feed roller has a frusto-conical configuration with its axis disposed at an angle with respect to the axis of the central bore, and is peripherally provided with a helical rib, which is adapted to engage the periphery of lead. A rotation is externally imparted to the shaft of the feed roller, thereby rotating it to feed a given length of the lead forward.
