Abstract: An in-line housing for maintaining a cable posture includes first and second barrels having first and second bores, respectively. The first and second barrels are mounted for movement with respect to each other into and out of a neutral arrangement. When the first and second barrels are arranged in the neutral arrangement, the first and second bores are coaxially registered with each other and enable rotational movement of a cable with respect to the housing when the cable is applied to the first and second barrels. When the first and second barrels are arranged out of the neutral arrangement, the first and second bores are skewed with respect to each other and disable rotational movement of the cable with respect to the housing when the cable is applied to the first and second barrels.

  • Patent number: 11617039
Abstract: A planar magnetic driver including a radiating surface having a trace-free central region is described. The driver has a magnet defining an acoustic opening on a central axis. A diaphragm of the planar magnetic driver is held by mounts having a mounting profile around the central axis, and the diaphragm includes a radiating surface facing the acoustic opening. An innermost conductive trace on the diaphragm extends around a central region of the radiating surface within a magnetic flux of the magnet such that no conductive traces are on the central region. A radial distance between the innermost conductive trace and the mounting profile is less than another radial distance between the innermost conductive trace and the central axis. Accordingly, an excursion range of the diaphragm along the central axis is greater than a gap distance between the conductive trace and the magnet. Other aspects are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 6776552
Abstract: A ball joint which uses spherical rollers to reduce the torque friction which tends to inhibit the rotation of the ball within a ball joint assembly. Two sets of spherical rollers are captivated between the ball and two liner rings in the ball joint housing. The ball has two annular raceways which act as the inner raceways for the spherical rollers. Two liner rings have internal diameters which match the configuration of the spherical rollers and which act as outer raceways for the spherical rollers. The two liner rings have external threads and are installed into the housing which has matching internal threads.

Abstract: A link rod for supportably suspending a structural member from a vehicle frame includes a one-piece body press-formed from a metal plate material. The one-piece body defines a main rod section having a bent portion at one end thereof forming a first attachment section which lies on a plane arranged crosswise to a plate plane of the main rod section, and a second attachment section attachment section extending contiguously to an opposite end of the main rod section co-directionally with the plate plane. Reinforcing flanges formed at lateral edges of the main rod section. The reinforcing flanges include extension edges disposed at the bend portion and extending at least from the one end of the main rod toward the first attachment section, the extension edges being bent outwardly from top edge portions of the reinforcing flanges in a direction crosswise to a remainder thereof.

  • Patent number: 6551005
Abstract: An assembly for restricting movement of the ball joint utilized in automotive vehicles and the like, comprising a socket (2), a bearing (3), an “O” ring (4), two retaining rings (5) and one protection cap (6). The bearing (3) functions to restrict movement of the ball pin to prevent the fall of the steering bar (7) of vehicles due to the fact that the bar (7) is long and curved. An o-ring (4) has a function to make the sealing between the bearing (3) and the ball pin. The retaining rings (5) serving to lock the protective cap (6) to prevent the entry of dust and other agents in the joint assembly, avoiding possible damages to the movable components of the same. The matching surfaces of the socket body and the bearing contact to limit relative movement therebetween, so that the movements of the suspension of the vehicles remain free, locking the bar in the sense of rotation around the line of action of the ball.
