Abstract: A protective enclosure for a food protection system includes a first hinge member, a second hinge member rotatably coupled to the first hinge member, and a coupler selectively repositionable relative to the first hinge member between an engaged position and a disengaged position. In the engaged position, the coupler engages the first hinge member to limit rotation of the coupler relative to the first hinge member. In the disengaged position, the coupler is free to rotate relative to the first hinge member. The coupler is rotatably coupled to the second hinge member such that (a) rotation of the coupler relative to the second hinge member in a first rotational direction is limited and (b) the coupler is free to rotate relative to the second hinge member in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.

Abstract: The present invention discloses unique apparatus for attaching a bicycle seat to a typical bicycle seat support post. The seat attaching apparatus permits the seat to controllably tilt, to the left and/or right of the bicycle longitudinal center line, as the bicyclist leans left or right as he/she pedals along. Thus, friction that normally occurs between the bicycle seat and the rider's inner thigh and crotch area significantly reduced or eliminated.

Abstract: A pivot shaft structure for scissor mechanisms consists of a pivot shaft and a matching receiving hole. The pivot shaft includes at least a turning contour formed by a portion of the shaft contour of a pseudo turning shaft and a constraint contour formed by removing another portion of the pseudo turning shaft. The receiving hole has an hole contour for matching the pivot shaft and includes at least a matching turning contour formed by a portion of an hole contour of a pseudo turning shaft opening and a matching constraint contour formed by filling another portion of the pseudo turning shaft opening. Through the matching between the pseudo turning shaft and the pseudo turning shaft opening, the turning contour of the pivot shaft may pivotally turn in the matching turning contour of the receiving hole, and through contact between the constraint contour of the pivot shaft and the matching constraint contour of the receiving hole to form a turning limitation for the pivot shaft in the receiving hole.

Abstract: A drilling device has a carriage (1) on which a drilling member (22) can be removably mounted. In a receiving region, the carriage (1) has a tightening lever (4) that can be swiveled, with its first end area having a tightening surface (5) that interacts with a clamping surface (21) of a connection region of the drilling member (22). The second end area of the tightening lever (4) interacts with a tightening element (9) that keeps the tightening lever (4) under tension by means of a spring so that the drilling member (22) is firmly pressed against the carriage (1). By means of two release levers (15), the tightening element (9) can be moved into a release position in which the tightening lever (4) can be swiveled into the release position and the tightening element (9) lies against a retention surface (13) on the tightening lever (4).

  • Patent number: 6338588
Abstract: A rotatable clamp block mechanism includes a chassis having a first curved surface, and a rotatable clamp block having a second curved surface that slidably engages the first curved surface to permit the rotatable clamp block to rotate around an axis relative to the chassis. The second curved surface extends between flanges at axial ends of said second curved surface. The rotatable clamp block is coupled to the chassis by respective curved slots at axial ends of the first curved surface, and by screws or pins extending from each of the flanges into the curved slots to rotatably couple the rotatable clamp block to the chassis.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a transconnector for coupling first and second spinal fixation rods or other elongate fixation elements. The transconnector includes a male member, a female member, and a locking member. The male member has a body with a linking element (such as a hook) associated with the lateral end for receiving one of the fixation elements, and a projection extending from the medial end. The female member has a body with a linking element associated with the lateral end for receiving the other fixation element, and a cavity with an opening on the medial end for receiving a portion of the male member projection. The locking member adjustably and rotatably secures the male member projection portion in the cavity in order to accommodate different orientations and separation distances between the first and second fixation elements.

Abstract: A base plate is secured to any existing snowboard with screws or bolts through holes in the base plate mating with the standard holes in the snowboard. A rotatable plate has a wide groove to receive a standard existing boot binding and the two have circular openings which fit rotatably over a protruding circular guide post on the base plate. A cap plate with mating holes and a protruding bottom circular plate extends through the boot binding and rotatable plate openings to contact the guide post on the base plate with the screws or bolts passing through all the mating holes to the snowboard. An elevated rim around the cap plate fits within a circular groove of the boot binding to allow the boot binding and rotatable plate to rotate relative to the cap plate. A low-friction ring has bottom teeth to fit within the teeth of the boot binding and a top low-friction top surface to contact the cap plate.

Abstract: A children's wagon comprising a wagon body, a bottom wall, and front and rear bolsters secured to the bottom wall. The front bolster is pivotally secured to the bottom wall and a pin is associated with the bottom wall and is adapted to extend downwardly therefrom to interfere with the front bolster movement to thereby minimize the possibility of tipping of the wagon. The pin is adapted to be moved upwardly out of interfering position whereby the front bolster can be moved 180° in either direction to thereby place the wagon in more convenient positions for transportation and storage. The front and rear bolsters are each provided with shock absorbers positioned above the front and rear axles adjacent each of the wagon wheels. Slotted vertically extending extensions on each side of each bolster receive the wagon axles and provide for vertical movement of the bolsters relative to the axles.

Abstract: The disclosure defined by this invention describes a structure which allows free movement of a cable of an electric tool. The structure is installed at the end of the handle of the electric tool and generally includes a seat cover, a cable clamping tube, and a cable tail stop. The seat cover includes a connecting chamber connected to the cable clamping tube. The cable is passed through the cable tail stop which passes through the inner and outer spaces of the handle. Hence, the cable may turn relative to the electric tool at any bending angle and the relative position between the cable and the electric tool may be easily arranged. Furthermore, the cable will not be easily damaged.
