Abstract: A lock for joining cables, chains and the like comprising identical parts attached to the cable ends. Each part comprises a hollow cylinder in which is positioned a lever extending lengthwise of the cylinder and attached for limited pivoting action. Each lever end forms a lip which overlaps and interlocks with the lip of the other lever end when the cylinders are butted end-to-end. For disengaging the cylinder ends these levers are pivoted to a nonoverlapping position and the cylinders are pulled apart.
Abstract: A multipartite rock bolt includes a plurality of individual discrete elems which are connected to each other at their respective end portions to constitute the rock bolt which is anchored, especially cemented, in a hole of the rock to be consolidated by the rock bolt. The end portions of the elements have complementary recesses therein at which the respective assembled elements overlap each other and the connecting arrangement for connecting the respective end portions includes a projection, particularly a pin which extends transversely of the elongation of the element into the recess and is received in a complementary aperture, particularly a hole, provided at the recess of the other element. The recess is partially bounded by a detaining surface extending substantially longitudinally of the element, and the detaining surface may be inclined relative to the elongation of the element.

Abstract: A connector for a bolted joint mounted or adapted to be mounted on a member to be connected and comprising a base portion and a key portion. Opposed faces of the connector define a channel, the key portion being of complementary shape to the channel so that the connector can be coupled to another similar connector with each of the key portions received in the channel of the other connector. A bore for receiving a bolt extends through the connector and is positioned to register with a bore of a similar connector when the connectors are coupled together.
Abstract: The invention relates to a member for assembling tubular elements designed to form a two-dimensional or three-dimensional structure. Such member comprises two half-shells which can be nested one on the other, thus defining a passage for a tube of the structure, and having stub tubes onto which the other tubes are to be fitted.
Abstract: A chain link conveyor comprises modules pivotally connected to one another. Each module is designed to be molded as a unit, preferably of an organic plastic material and comprises a number of parallel, spaced links having end sections with aligned holes for snap-together pivot rods, and intermediate sections joined by integral cross members to form a rigid, supporting grid.
Abstract: A split attachment is provided from two substantially identical half pieces each having projections and slots adapted for wedgedly joining the respective halves together for securing tightly about an article. Means on the split half pieces may be deformed against the surfaces of the article to prevent sliding of the attachment or a loose movement between the gripped articles when the attachment is used to join two articles together such as the rods of a brass bed headboard.
Abstract: A split pintail fastener assembly for installation in holes through work pieces including an elongate fastener with a bearing section to be placed in the holes, an engagement section to be engaged to hold the fastener in the holes, and a pintail section connected to the leading end of the engagement section by a frangible breakneck section; a pintail extension coaxially aligned with the leading end of the pintail section on the fastener; and connection means releasably connecting the trailing end of the pintail extension to the leading end of the pintail section on the fastener.
Abstract: A rail expansion joint made of two slidably engaging parts, each part being identical in shape and having a full thickness portion welded to the rail and a half thickness portion adapted to overlap the corresponding portion of the other part, the free ends of these two portions having a saw-tooth profile engaging the corresponding teeth of the two portions of the other part.
