Abstract: A cable retention device is disclosed. The device may be used to restrain electrical cables routed along a cable support structure. These support structures are used in both internal and external settings, and the structures provide some physical support and protection to the electrical cables. In some high-power settings, these cables run from substations or electrical generators to a point within a facility. The support structures typically used in these settings do not fully restrain the cables. External forces, such as those that may occur during short circuit conditions, may result in movement of the electrical cables, which can lead to damage. Cable retention devices, referred to at times as cleats or clamps, are needed to restrain the cables. The cable retention device disclosed herein simultaneously restrains the cables and secures the cables to the cable support structure.

Abstract: Board assemblies with minimized warpage and systems and methods for making the same are disclosed. A board may be pre-conditioned by designing the board to mount components in selected areas of the board and by selectively copper flooding certain regions of the board. Pre-conditioning of the board may assist in preventing board warpage. A reflow fixture may fix a board during solder pasting and reflow processing thereof. After reflow, an underfill fixture may fix the board during underfill processing. Each of these fixtures may include respective clamp members that may hold various portions of the board to correct and/or prevent warpage of the board.

Abstract: A device for retaining a printed circuit board module in a mounting groove of a cold plate, the device comprising an elongated housing made of metal, which has a cross-section in the shape of a horizontal U. A pressure piece made of metal is mounted in the housing so as to be displaceable transversely relative to the rotational axis of the housing and comprises a flat clamping surface on the front side. A rotary cylinder can be rotatably mounted in the housing so as to be transversely displaceable relative to the rotational axis. During a rotation, eccentric guide elements can be used to effect a forward displacement of the rotary cylinder. The pressure piece follows the displacement of the rotary cylinder and slides outward. The waste heat of the printed circuit board module is transported via the housing and the pressure piece to the cold plate.
