  • Patent number: 11685503
Abstract: Described herein are stringer assemblies, such as blade stringers, and methods of forming thereof. A stringer assembly comprises a first fabric composite stiffener, a second fabric composite stiffener, and an intermediate tape composite stiffener, disposed between and connected to each of the first and second stiffeners. Using three separate components allows forming sharp bends, eliminating voids and gap fillers, and adding new features, such as edge reinforcements. Each of the first and second fabric composite stiffeners comprises a web portion, a flange portion, and a curved portion, positioned between the web and flange portions. The web portions surround and are attached to the intermediate tape composite stiffener and, in some examples, include tapered-out edges for additional rigidity. The flange portions are attached to the composite base. The curved portions conform to the flared-out edges of the intermediate tape composite stiffener, which extends and connects to the composite base.

Abstract: A holding structure and a portable electronic apparatus therewith are disclosed. The holding structure includes a mount structure and a movable member. The mount structure includes a constraining portion having an accommodating space and an opening. The movable member includes a carrier having an engaging structure. When an end portion of a pencil object is inserted into the constraining portion from the opening to be accommodated together with the carrier in the accommodating space, the constraining portion constrains deformation of the engaging structure such that the engaging structure is engaged with the end portion. The end portion is therefore hardly extracted out. When the carrier departs from the accommodating space, the engaging structure and the end portion are disengaged. The end portion is therefore easily extracted out. The invention uses structure to constrain deformation, which can provide stable holding strength without any metal spring.

A threaded cap is screwed to an end of the tubular body opposite from the cable opening, such that the threaded cap forces the tapering outer surface of the wedge gripper axially against the tapered inner surface of the tubular body to force the toothed inner diameter of the wedge gripper to contract against three lobes of the median barrier cable to grip the median barrier cable.

  • Patent number: 8272805
Abstract: A portable wedge clamp having both a drive wedge member and a mating base wedge member each formed with generally wedge shaped bodies that are oppositely inclined along a mutually slidable wedge interface. The body of the base wedge member is formed with an external load application surface opposite from the mutual wedge interface, and the body of the drive wedge member is formed with a load reaction surface opposite from the mutual wedge interface. The external load application surface of the base wedge member and the external load reaction surface of the drive wedge member are spaced apart on opposite sides of the mutual wedge interface. Accordingly, the external load application and load reaction surfaces of the respective base wedge and drive wedge member bodies are arranged in a substantially parallel opposing relationship when the base and drive wedge members are slidably juxtaposed along the inclined wedge interface therebetween.

Abstract: A clamping pin is intended to be inserted into and held in an opening of a medical device. The clamping pin comprises a screw having a longitudinal axis, a first clamping element having a surface inclined to the longitudinal axis and provides a first part of a clamping section. A second clamping element has a surface inclined to the longitudinal axis and provides a second part of the clamping section which is complementary to the opening in the medical device. The inclined surfaces of the first and second clamping elements are in contact. A screw extends at least partly through both the first and second clamping elements. The screw engages in one of the clamping elements such that the axial distance between the two clamping elements and the diameter of the clamping section that can come in contact with a surface of the opening in the medical device will be changed upon actuation of the screw.
