A nosepiece is coupled to the actuator and is configured to apply a clamping force concentrically about the drilling location on the workpiece. The actuator may include an inner housing having an outwardly extending flange, and an outer housing disposed about the flange of the inner housing. Pressurization of a first chamber moves the inner housing forwardly and applies the clamping force of the nosepiece against the workpiece, and pressurization of a second chamber moves the inner housing aftwardly and retracts the nosepiece away from the workpiece.

An electrically operated tool is movably secured to the cabinet. The tool has a remote switch which when activated in turn activates the tool. A lever (e.g., a handle) is operatively coupled to the clamp assembly and the tool. When the lever is manually moved, the remote switch is activated and the clamp pad moves towards the work surface. By manually moving the handle, the workpiece can be secured by the clamp pad and fence when the drill collet moves toward the drill bit opening in the work surface.
