Patent number: 8764365Abstract: A screw anchor for insertion into concrete is disclosed. The screw anchor has an essentially cylindrical base body on whose outer lateral surface an external thread is provided and which has a receptacle arranged in the direction of the cylinder longitudinal axis originating from an axial end face. The receptacle has a load-bearing structure originating from the axial end face. A tool receptacle extending essentially in the direction of the cylinder longitudinal axis is provided in the receptacle, wherein the tool receptacle extends further into the receptacle than the load-bearing structure from the end face to the rotary drive of the screw anchor in the cylinder longitudinal direction.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2012Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Assignee: Hilti AktiengesellschaftInventor: Marcel Roessner

Patent number: 8757665Abstract: An insert for a sports board comprising an outer ring unit comprising a threaded top piece and a threaded bottom piece and an inner insert unit comprising a threaded top piece and a threaded bottom piece. The outer ring unit is installed into a mounting hole that penetrates through a sports board. The top and bottom pieces of the outer ring unit each comprises a flange with a diameter greater than the diameter of the mounting hole. The top piece and the bottom piece of the outer ring unit are both hollow, thereby creating an insert hole for the inner insert unit when the top piece and bottom piece of the outer are screwed together. The top piece and the bottom piece of the inner insert unit are installed into the insert hole created by the top piece and bottom piece of the outer ring unit and screwed together.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2012Date of Patent: June 24, 2014Assignee: SkiBling, Inc.Inventors: Greg A. Patent number: 8672046Abstract: An agricultural disk gang includes an elongated disk gang bolt having a threaded end with an externally threaded surface. A plurality of cultivating disks are supported on the disk gang bolt. A nut is threadably engaged with the externally threaded surface. The nut has a first side facing the disks and a second side facing away from the disks. The nut is disposed to axially compress the disks together on the disk gang bolt when tightened. A tensioning structure is mounted on the disk gang bolt outside of the nut. The tensioning structure has a plurality of threaded through holes. A plurality of threaded fasteners are threadably engaged with the threaded through holes and are disposed to axially compress the disks when the plurality of threaded fasteners are tightened, thereby permitting the nut to be further tightened.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2011Date of Patent: March 18, 2014Assignee: Deere & CompanyInventors: Richard J. Patent number: 7624618Abstract: A device having at least one screw plug for screwing into a first tapped hole of a housing or housing part of the device, the at least one screw plug including a device for sealing, such as a sealing ring, for the connection to the housing in a manner forming a seal, e.g., against the escape of oil. Introduced into the screw plug is a second tapped hole by which a sensor is releasably connectable, e.g., is able to be screwed in. The screw plug includes an end stop for conducting acoustical waves and for the simultaneous mechanical limit for screwing in the screw plug.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2002Date of Patent: December 1, 2009Assignee: Sew-Eurodrive GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6955513Abstract: This invention relates generally to a flexible fastener for coupling members. In a preferred embodiment, the flexible fastener may be used to couple members that are non-parallel, non-aligned, or in specific instances when selective compliance in a member is desired. The present invention is directed generally to a fastener that is laterally flexible along its length, comprising a shank covered with a spiral set of teeth and a flexible core material running internally to the shank and along the length of the shank, wherein the shank and the flexible core material are coupled at both distal ends of the fastener. In a preferred embodiment, a means for imparting rotational movement to the fastener is attached at a distal end. The preferred means are a bolt head and a screw head.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2002Date of Patent: October 18, 2005Assignee: California Polytechnic State University FoundationInventor: Saeed Benjamin Niku
